A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. Angelina recorded this demo on January 3, 2017 which was 7 days before her 11th birthday! This great song was written by Baby FuzZ (Brandon Lowry also known as Sterling Fox) who later recorded his own version. We don't know why Angelina's family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RU-vid video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances.

Thanks RR for getting to this great song from Angelina. The original artist, Baby Fuzz, sent this out for Demo and the result was this masterpiece from 10 year old AJ. Was never released, hence "Leaked" as you see. Song has very deep meanings, interpret it the way you want, but never the less she absolutely made this her own. This performance stands out in a couple of ways to me, The first one being the genre and the beat. At this point in time she had almost exclusively been singing old classics and jazz. Another exception from the rule from when she was 10 was her performance of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive ". That one is another incredible performance that you really need to react to. The other reason why this stands out to me is the mere fact that she was 10 years old, and she sounds almost completely grown up. It was recorded just a few days before she turned 11 but it is still remarkable. But of course we all know that sounding much older than she was/is is a recurring theme with her. The other cover that I just mentioned is another prime example of just that. Close your eyes and you would never in a million years be able to guess her age. Many believed that this, had it been released, would have zoomed up the charts. For reasons no one knows, her mom wouldn't approve its release. It could have had to do with her being 10, or it may have had something to do with the lyrics near the end that talk about a self-induced - drowning suicide. Her mom has always been 'super' strict as to the lyrics Angelina was allowed to perform during her early years but she's never commented on why it was never released.

This was strictly between Sterling's group and Angelina. So the diminutive Angelina recorded what we're listening to. As others have noted, Angelina's parents didn't want her to release a cover of her own, as it dealt with suicide. The cover was at the cusp of being lost forever, had not someone with access to the recording "leaked" it. The date of it's release isn't certain. Bandon went on to perform his song, as there are videos of the performance. He doesn't hold a candle to our littlest angel. As an aside, the name Angelina has its origin in Greek, with the translations being a "messenger" or "Archangel." Going back 1 year from this song, we had the opportunity to watch a video (subtitled in English) where is interviewed by Anne Lindmo, NRK TV "Lindmo" on 14/11/2015. The televised interview was about Angelina's publication of "Between two Hearts," making her the youngest published author in Norway. The book is about 6 year old Angelina meeting and befriending a young barefooted orphan girl earning money by weighing people on a bathroom scale; supporting her orphaned siblings. Anne has Angelina read from her diary, which carries a message that's simply stunning for such a young child. There’s a lot of ridiculous controversy surrounding why this version was never released. While walking through an airport, Jordan was asked why and she answered because it’s a demo. It was never recorded with the intention to be released! No one in the recording industry has ever released a demo for release to the public! It hasn’t gone through final production processing and editing, and finally, Baby Fuzz stated that the lyrics were about unrequited love and had nothing to do with suicide!

Still, the rumor is Angelina's mother didn't like the ending lyrics referencing suicide and the demo cut was never released. Later the demo was pirated from Angelina, and pictures were added and put online at the same time Baby Fuzz released the song, causing some confusion. Still, rumor has it that all parties agreed to leave Angelina's pirated cut on U-tube. Angelina has stated she would never sing the song again that's a shame, like many fans, It's my favorite AJ performance. Angelina has several upbeat songs in her catalog. "Feeling Good" is one she also performed at 10. Two versions. I wonder how much time you waste (?!!) wondering which direction down the rabbit hole you should go? Older or newer stuff? Wander around the same near-age group of videos? Well, I started in 2016 with few videos available. So seeing those dozen or so was relatively quick - but that problem was "I want more, and I want more NOW." But some remain favorites despite running them into re-lisltening hells (or heavens). I don't think anyone's advise is worthwhile ("go into her ancient history", "do her modern stuff") - I think fans will end up doing them all. "Older videos" offer one benefit: it is now so seldom that I say, "Wow - I never knew she could do THAT-!" But her next video have often put me right back there - when MILLION MILES hit, I was right back there on that "Completely Unexpected" train.
