Flabbergasted is the usual response to this video. Angelina was 9 when she did this amazing performance. It is her arrangement of the original by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, but she didn't come on stage in a coffin like he did. You might enjoy watching that one, too. It is his picture on the candle she holds before she starts singing. I don't think she ever sang it like this again, was probably told that she needs to take care of her young vocal cords. When she sang it later, it seems a bit bland in comparison. Some 200 singers have covered it. Nina Simone was good, CCR was okay, but no one can compare with Angelina. She puts them all in the shade. BTW, it is available as an MP3, with several other songs, from Amazon. As for Angelina's languages, English is her 3rd language, after her native Norwegian and Farsi/Persian/Iranian, whatever one wants to call it. (Please forgive my ignorance.) But I think that Music is really her first language. Her heritage is mixed. Her father is Swedish. On her mother's side, her grandmother is Iranian, and her grandfather was Japanese. When she performed in Japan, she sang a song in Japanese. Her mother and uncle Mike, her manager, lived in Japan for 11 years, and sometimes converse in Japanese. I would love to hear her sing in French and Spanish. I think she could, as linguistically gifted as she is. Her grandmother is a well known artist, and is teaching Angelina to paint. The outfit she wore when she sang BoRhap on AGT, was sewed by herself, with fabric printed from her grandma's colorful designs. She is a multi-talented genius. As if all that weren't enough, her dedication to children's charities is astonishing. She gave her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to a children's fund, and has sung at charity events all over the world. She helped raise over 21 million Euros for a children's charity in Germany. Oh, she also plays piano, guitar, and flute.
This is where you all of a sudden realized the breadth of her talent; that she isn't just a cute little girl that sings pretty. She is a once in a lifetime vocal talent.

Angelina is a living Juke Box ,just put your request in and she play any song any genre. She was 9 years old here it has been reported. . She has more soul in her voice than professionals 5 times her age and experience.. What she brought forth is not possible for a 9 year old to do , however, we are talking Angelina the barefooted Princess of song. Angelina's voice is the ultimate musical instrument, and she can play it like a maestro of the likes of a Mozart. She is so far ahead of other singers I do not think they will ever catch up to this Angelic singer, Angelina the now new Queen of singers at the tender age of just 14 years old now. I Put A Spell On You in black and white is always a must watch for all the Angelina Jordan beginners.☺️ She does this on stage when she's a little older but a bit stripped down. I love that version too but if you're looking for a wow factor this version is the one. I know your fan of hitting high notes and belting stuff and you already know Angelina can hit those crazy high notes. But one of the most impressive stuff of Angelina is her low register voice... And that's where you will need your earphones on.☺️ She covers stuff from as early as 50's ...she covers the great jazz singers, she covered Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley ....btw she's mainly a jazz singer. The first time I saw this was when the only video's at that time were the ones from NGT. You see that sweet little girl that won and then you see this little powerhouse belting this out. Simply mind boggling.

Angelina is the definition of perfection. Her talent is not from this world. She sang "Beyond the yellow brick road" an original song from Elton John, her version is way way better than Elton's. It is not a competition, it is just to highlight her gift given by God.
Imagine all the people whose first contact with Angelina was this song. Imagine what they felt, what they thought after hearing and seeing something that should not be possible. Is this for real? How old is she? This cannot be her voice. People grab their head or their chest, drop their jaw, open their eyes real big and shake their head. Her album featuring a mix of covers and originals is currently ranking 8 on itunes top 100 Jazz albums atm, peaked at number 2 a few days ago i believe. So she's definately making waves already at age 14. She's a real throwback to the late Greats i feel like, gonna be fun to watch her grow into her own sound as she matures.

If you try to do what she does before you know what you are doing, you could severely damage your voice and may never be able to sing again. Angelina has a gift that very, very few people in history have ever had. All of her physical vocal abilities and sense of musical style came with her at birth and because her family played music all the time as she was growing up. She is a force of nature. Hi and some info's for you what makes it more impressive what she have done in this Video. First of all you have to see the Original by Screaming Jay Hawkins to understand what she is doing. She wrote this musical tribute by own with a age of turning 9 all lyric and musical setups are from Angelina worked out together with her with own Band. I really don't know anyone in this age who has this musical understatement. The first song i hear it was Born to die and i relay was thinking that is a fake but was not as i find out very fast.its easy for her to make each song to her own . I know a lot of good singers but she is a category of her own with great parents protecting her talent and her childhood. Ahh and your spelled now and you turn into a Angle of Angelina. Great reaction. Angelina always sing in English. I am only aware of one exception. During a concert in Japan, she sang part of a song in Japanese. I do not remember the song, and it was a very low quality video. By the way, Angelina is Norwegian by birth, Swedish from her father and Persian from her mother (and with a Japanese grandfather). I have a suggestion for you which provides significant insight of her extraordinary talent. At the Norway Talent competition, there was a non-public elimination audition a capella. Her studio demeanor seems amazing too 'for her age'. until you realize that she started singing at 18 months and her first time in the studio was at 6 years old. Her performances on Norway's Got Talent (7 when she started 8 when she won) are all really worth checking out. Hopefully you've seen her 7-year-old's version of GLOOMY SUNDAY, a song written in the '20s and popularized in the '30s. A completely different jazz style of rolling notes, not staccato-gospel style like Whitney used so effective. This is 1956 song (which roughly resembles the composer's version "Screamin'" Jay Hawkins. And then the next year at Age 10, she's doing the James Bond-ian style cover of FEELING GOOD. And all these recent ones. All different styles.

I wish that you guys understood that youtubers who try to do the requests y’all ask us to. face copyright claims and strikes which means we can not just let a whole song play and if you get so many strikes they delete your channel which is why I made a video addressing this yesterday also when I get super excited it’s hard to not want to talk and I can’t help when that happens but for someone who Does not do RU-vid you probably wouldn’t understand which is okay god bless
