I liked that you noticed the Louis Armstrong influence on those growls ;) And I always try to leave this little bio for those just discovering Angelina, so that you can learn a little more about her background and her kind and caring soul....... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 15 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...barefoot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. After she won NGT, they did not want her to be thrust into stardom before she had a chance to grow up as a normal child, and get her education. They allowed her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that came in. Over the years since NGT, they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 130 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written five of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield", "Oslo", "Million Miles", and 7th Heaven" (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. And won the show when she had just turned 8 yo. I love the first time she sang in a recording studio when she was 6 yrs old. She has always sang starting at 1 and 1/2 years old. You can see on her Tic Tok channel her singing as she’s walking down the street. She said she just loves singing.

1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she owns the rights to everything she sings and with aquired permissions for covers of other singers. 2. She refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. 4. She did many jazz songs on Norway's Got Talent in 2014 when she won at 7 yrs old ! I would recommend those because they were mind blowing ! At 13 on America's Got Talent the champions her rendition of *Bohemian Rhapsody " was absolutely a masterpiece and is jazz influenced ! She has two original songs out now "Million Miles and 7th Heaven " that are fantastic at 15 ! Lots to choose from and you will never be disappointed ! Angelina has a huge loyal fan base ! Cómo amo el jazz , sin duda esta chica es una mezzosoprano muy buena . Louis Armstrong es sin duda alguna uno de los padres del jazz y mejores intérpretes del género . Armstrong era un helden barítono . ( Se que es de las operas wagnerianas pero esas voces se catalogan por tener un color oscuro en sus notas altas y tener mucha fuerza en los graves , sin llegar a tener el color ni la fuerza de un bajo natural )
