Schnell in my opinion Angelina's voice is the most emotional, soulful voice of my lifetime. While soul singers touch your soul, Angelina's voice envelops your soul in a warm loving embrace. Angelina was 12 here and that was a difficult year, losing her grandpa, her friend Avicii and one of her idols Aretha Franklin and she did a tribute to each. But I don't believe the tremendous emotion in her voice came from her present life experience but rather she was born with it. I need to be a poet to have any chance to properly describe how special Angelina is. We are lucky to be alive at the same time as Angelina Jordan.

She has a truly unique and beautiful voice, and that’s coupled with the best interpreter of lyrics I’ve ever heard. And best of all, Angelina is singing to you. She’s not performing-she’s connecting with each listener who feels and understands these songs more personally than they heard them before. Her version of Stay is as stunning as this one. I don’t know what it is about her voice. Just about any song she sings makes me cry a good cry. Not many things in life does this to me . My heart is somehow in line with the tone of her voice. The sound of her voice is so soothing and hypnotic that my mind goes to places in my past. Some memories are sorrowful and painful and just by listening to her angelic voice some how makes everything better and replaces them with joy and happiness. I've listened to this one more times than I could count and it still blows me a away that it's a 12 year old singing this. She is able to convey so much emotion when she sings that it just pulls you in and holds you there for a couple minutes. If your favorite setup is a guitar and singer, then Angelina has many that you are going to love. When you look at the videos on her cover channel, look for any video you see with this guitarist (Ivan) or the other guitarist (Egil) in the thumbnail. All of those are going to be good. I especially recommend "stay", "the first time ever I saw your face", "make you feel my love" (just to name a few).
Hello Rusty. I've listened to this song up and down a number of times and every time I start crying. I've already written that she should do a mini concert with a maximum of 150 people in a small hall, with a guitarist and a piano. Especially these small concerts, of which I have already participated in quite a few, including the "big ones", are the best there are. There is always a great atmosphere. If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. In a similar way that musicians often lay down individual tracks for the drums, the bass line, and the backup singers etc. so too can we say that in a sense, songwriters put an emotion “track” on their work. This source is not uniformly listened to or evenly grasped by all singers as some sing rather mechanically, some focus on eye-popping notes or other vocal gymnastics, and others hardly focus on singing but stress the visual whether it be an outfit, on-stage dancing, or stunning videography. This is so beautiful & was my #1 Angelina song for about 1 1/2 years until Bohemian Rhapsody & Goodbye Yellow Brick Road came along on AGT-C. All 130 of Angelina's songs are great, but I believe about 30 or so, are vocal masterpieces. & this is one of them. I see you have reacted to Chris Isaac's original of Wicked Game & then you reacted to Diana Ankudinova's totally different vocal gymnastic version. Two years ago, Angelina sat down at her keyboard in her room & recorded her stripped down version of Wicked Games that I believe is on point with what the song is about & is a perfect example of the adage "sometimes less is more." A great review of this, one of my favourite Angelina performances. The guitarist is Ivan Mendez who Angelina performs with when she is in L.A.. I think Ivan toured with Angelina in South America too. Some of Angelina's best performances are with Ivan and her Norwegian guitarist Egil Clausen. Angelina really shines when performing with a simple backing, guitar or piano. Ivan has his own YT channel and can sing very well himself.

You're right. You have a lot to discover and you'll continue to be amazed by her. IMO you still haven't heard many of her best performances which you probably find hard to believe. The guitarist is Ivan Mendez and she has him playing on several of her covers. If you are interested in hearing more of him, for example he plays guitar for her on ALWAYS ON MY MIND which is another heart wrenching performance from her. I think you have officially fallen into the Angelina rabbit hole. Enjoy.
First time I heard this from miss young queen herself I was mesmerized..it's absolutely incredible how such a young girl can sound like a prime superstar. The acoustic guitar is also my favorite instrument (the guitar player is Ivan Mendes), and this is my favorite setting for Angelina's performances; just Angelina and the guitar. When Angelina turned 12, she received this Neumann microphone for her birthday (very expensive). It picks up everything, and the sound that resonates from her voice is beyond belief. A few months later she recorded three songs with Ivan on this mike. This is one of them. I've probably heard it 200 times, and I can't get through it without tearing up. When she sings "I miss my mother" I just melt. Adele is a great singer and song writer, and most people just don't measure up when trying to cover her songs. Angelina has covered several, and I like them all better than the original. Her voice is impressive, but her ability to make every song her own, and usually making it better than the original is truly impressive! For favorite instrument, I am going to have to say piano. Its just so versatile. As I just found your channel a few days ago, this is my first time hearing her sing and oh wow. Love this reaction, you were able to put words to what I was feeling listening to her. Also, knowing that you enjoy acapella music, I recommend checking out Citizen Queen.
