Thank you! For reacting to this. I love this video. She breaks all our minds and knowing she’s eighteen today and continues to thrill our souls is even more amazing. Great reaction- may you enjoy many more of this phenomenal talent. ❤
There has been some debate around age, but there is no denying that Angelina is too young to have such accuracy of pitch, timing, tonality, and vibrato. Listening chronologically, you will find she improves between every performance to date. Simply incredible!
Her grandmother was also a child prodigy. A poet and painter. They are very close. Her mother Sara says Angelina got Talent from her grandma..... this is where she was born to put it.
Fancy restaurants , she hadn't used those words at school yet ? english her 2nd language but taught and used in school extensively .still only 6 or 7 she's amazing ❤
English is her third language: Norwegian, Swedish, English, Farsi, Japanese. She was gesturing to her grandmother who was videoing her song. You’ve just scratched the surface! The rabbit hole awaits!
What I find most amazing about this 6 year old genius with this performance is that Angelina has no problem critiquing herself. I mean what the hell. That to me tells it all about her musical intellect.Thx.
Her 3 languages are Norwegian, English and Farsi. And she also knows a bit Japanese. She actually did small concert in Japan when she was around 9 years old I think, singing in Japanese. Her maternal grandmother is Iranian, and she studied art in Japan, where she met her husband. Both Angelina's mother and her uncle(and also manager) speak Japanese. Great 3rd reaction to Angelina 🙂 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
Despite of what some say, this is not her first time in the studio. She has recorded at least 3 songs before this. This one was just the first take on the song. It was recorded after Gloomy Sunday because her new left tooth is a tiny bit longer than in GS. This has been proven by zoomed-in photos. Nevertheless, an amazing performance!
This to me is the most mind blowing thing I have ever heard, I am 80 and I have followed great singer sense abt 1954 and nothing even comes close to this ,one second this child is singing in fluent English and a second late speaking in fluent Norwegian . Unbelievable
Hi there. When asked by the producer how it went, Angelina responded, it went well and considering it's not the child's 1st language, a bunch of words would confuse most folks. We'll give her a pass this time. Hey, look at that, Angelina has been given only one other pass since. When she was eight, she performed Micheal Jackson's "I'll be There" at a benefit concert suffering from the flu. Cheers!
Regarding the language issue: although she was born in Oslo and is in an Oslo recording studio here (Bjerke Lydstudio), we know that she lived various places in between those two events, including in the U.S. and somewhere in the Middle East. An article from 2017 said, "When Angelina was younger, her family lived different places around the world, mostly in the United States." I take that to mean that she spent more time the in the U.S. than any other single place (i.e., a plurality), not necessarily that the majority of the time between her birth and when they moved back to Oslo (probably at 6) was spent in the U.S. (But given that we only know of three places she lived, the difference between plurality and majority might not be meaningful.) In any case, we have Actual Video Evidence suggesting that she grew up speaking both English and Norwegian. In particular, we have videos… * reportedly shot in Oslo when she was 1½ in which she speaks a short sentence in Norwegian after singing some song lyrics in English (a few different lines at various levels of accuracy); * obviously shot in the U.S., reportedly when she was 3, in which she is spoken to in English by her mother and another woman but doesn't respond verbally, and at one point nods her head when she is asked a yes/no question; * shot at perhaps 4 (my own estimate) in which she speaks both English and Norwegian to her pet bird; and * reportedly shot at age 5 (although I suspect she was already 6 for reasons we don't need to go into here) in which she is basically fluent in English, giving a "room tour" talking about her dolls, toys, and clothes. So… like I said, this suggests that she grew up speaking both Norwegian and English. She might have spoken other languages at the time, as well, since those spoken by her parents and grandparents include Swedish (very similar to Norwegian), Japanese, and Persian, but AFAIK there is no video documentation of Angelina actually speaking any of those languages.
Jone, thank you very much for your reaction. I believe Angelina was near her 7th birthday for this remarkable performance. I think the most impressive part, is how such a young person can have the patience and desire to talk about the performance, looking to improve. The smallest act of kindness can have a huge positive impact.
Angelina’s first language is Norwegian. What made this performance so 👀 amazing, other than her singing, is the fact that she was reading the adult level lyrics, in English.
This video always makes me smile! Not only does she sound amazing despite mixing some words, she is so professional. Her first language is Norwegian and there she is six years old reading and singing English lyrics! Not many English speaking six year old would be able to even read most of those words! Great reaction!
She has some big performances that are probably on your list, and you really can't go wrong with anything you choose. Personally though, my absolute favorite of hers is "Stay". Just her and her guitarist sitting there taking my breath away.
This was Angelina's first recording in the school studio, she was about 6 years old then. In one place she made a mistake in the text, which was brought to her attention.
Great reaction, thank you Jone. It's impossible don't love this unique concentration of humility, simplicity, innocence, friendliness and talent, since her early years. Every time, with her voice, Angelina leaves you with a wonderful feeling of satisfaction and tenderness that accompanies you, even after listening to her. I infinitely love her voice and her arrangements. This girl's musical passion and talent are simply unreal, she moves you every time she sings. 💛🧡❤
She's English/Norwegian bilingual, ( lingua franca) with additional Swedish, Farsi, Japanese, probably some German and from what l understand she learning Spanish. You can see she is proficient as any 5 year old speaking English. She even says" over der, instead of there, that's an Americanism ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dPJL6u2Ne3g.htmlfeature=shared. Great reaction
