Thanks Paul....loving these TikTok vids...I sub her TikToks and we get a lot of Angelina just messing around and singing, only thing is these are likely better than most of the produced, mixed, auto tuned studio productions many of the so called "stars" these days. Regarding the eyes rolling back, she has done that since she was a child, noticeable in many videos. She has said that when she sings she goes into a different world, joy and happiness, she is always so invested in what she sings, it is her world, we just get to enjoy it. Regarding the "7th Heaven" clip, yes her original but she is walking around the "monochrome" colored sets from her video singing Michael Jacksons' "Billy Jean" which she re-created into a "Jazzy" rendition. Enjoying the TikTok journey, and I am sure many AJ fans are as well. 🥰🥰 BTW, we fans do not concern ourselves with the "haters" there are many many sad people on this planet and spreading that is all they have...sad but true. Angelina just wants to spread love to the world through her music, she is a very positive person.
The part where her eyes are rolling is because she herself said in one of her television interviews that as soon as she reads it she feels that she is in another place, a place that is all good, quiet and calm and from there she conveys the emotion to us in the song she sings to us. The videos that are not working are because of the dispute between UMG and TIKTOK where UMG gets all of the music away .. So if a Song is under UMG the clip is muted ..... but i think in a view days must be ending that situation they get a new Agreement
Love these TikTok reactions. It doesn’t really bother me when people compare her to other artists (in a positive way) especially since, in her documentary, she says she feels honored. But it does annoy me and upset me when people criticize her and say that she’s trying to be a certain artist. That’s not the case. Just yesterday I was reading some old comments for Love Don’t Let Me Go. Someone said “stop trying to be Lana Del Rey.” For the same song some say she’s trying to be Amy Winehouse. Others say she sounds like Adele. So which is it? Would these same people say that those other singers sound alike? Probably not. I guess people hear what they want to hear. I also think that these people don’t know much about Angelina and have not heard very much of her music. Also, it could be argued that some artists that she is being “accused” of copying , sound like other artists before them. I guess it’s like when Ariana Grande first came on to the scene, some criticized her for trying to be Mariah Carey.
Her eyes have always done that, but she has learned to just close her eyes, so it is not so noticeable. She seems to go into an altered state when she sings. Even in her first NGT audition she did it. But, she can make beautiful music!
The whole problem is that everyone is always saying Angelina is trying to sound like Amy Winehouse, Adele, or her style is like Amy Winehouse. Angelina is only being Angelina and she said in an interview she is inspired by the vintage styles of Elvis and Priscilla Presley which is why in the video " Suspicious Minds " Angelina wore her hair in the style of Priscilla as well as the outfit and the red guitar is the actual guitar Elvis had when he did his comeback tour. Angelina is only being Angelina and isn't inclined to mimic no one else.

Although born in Norway, Angelina’s ethnicity is not Norwegian. She is part Swedish from her father’s side and part Japanese and Iranian (Persian) from her mother’s side. In an interview with her uncle he talks about how his mother (Angelina’s Grandma Mery) moved to Japan and about he and Sara (Angelina’s mom) grew up in Japan and the family later moved to Norway.
The UMG-TikTok dispute should not affect any recordings that Angelina did before she signed with UMG in late 2020, nor the Queen song she sang on America's Got Talent - The Champions (she was given the rights to that rendition). Also, Love of my Life is a Queen song - very beautiful.
Unfortunately there are a lot of people , for some reasons especially on FB who like to go onto sites that they know support Angelina and say very uncomplimentary things knowing they will get a rise out of Angels. Very sad and immature. They have the full right not to like Angelina, mentally mature people will just move onto someone else.❤
I don’t use Facebook but I see a lot in Instagram and TikTok. From the text of the comments sometimes it sounds like these are people who don’t really know anything about her and are making judgement on one video. It sounds like a lot of people think that she is just one of the many who are posting videos to be “discovered” when in reality it is just her way to practice and experiment. For example, the one comment Paul read a few days saying to her “don’t quit your day job” was really annoying. What would they say if we were to list all of her accomplishments since age 7?
I really think there are 2 types of people who listen to Angelina, there are ones who would agree that Angelina has a good voice like many other, then there are Angels like myself who have really been affected by Angelina in a much deeper level. Somehow this now 18 year old young lady managed to change this 68 year old man's way of seeing the world and treating others. I find myself when especially confronted by people who act brutishly to literally ask myself what would Angelina do and respond accordingly. I believe Angelina has made me a better person.
I could listen to her sing sam smith's discography all day. Same thing with Adele. She adds SO MUCH of her own flare to these pop ballads, making them equally as good or better than the original in my opinion
Amy Winehouse was not an original.She was channeling someone's style from before her you know... Also amy winehouse could never ever think your dream of doing the variant styles and sounds and effects that angelina experiments with and utilizes
