I've been following Angelina for the about 5 years and have been blown away by her time after time. She's beyond talented, it's more like she is channeling greatness. It's almost freakish. She is unique.

Here is some more information about Angelina. Here is a quote from Angelina from an interview with TV2 after her Audions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on RU-vid before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Glommy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, It's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " 🤗🤗🤗

In an interview when Angelina was 10 years old, her mother explained that Angelina is never nervous while singing, she then goes into her own world. Angelina only sings songs that she has selected and she only sings them the way she wants.

You know (and I do know you know), Angelina was born to sing. I watched your video with Emanna Beasha and your comment about her being a little nervous despite how great her performance was. Angelina not only has a lot of confidence but she is a natural. Very relaxed, pays homage to the lyricist and composer, knowing what music is all about. Angelina was just born to sing.

Did you notice she had almost *perfect pitch,* even at 7 years old??!! I think that blew my mind more than anything, when I first saw her. Hell, at 7 I was still learning to tie my shoes properly!😜🤣

You are very right about the type of person she is. So kind and caring. I think that personality really carries into her vocals. She always makes you feel the song. The other thing you might notice about her is that it is just so effortless for her. Great choice to go back to where it all started. As you say, it helps to get a better understanding of her later work and it's been a great pleasure for many fans to se her grow up, both as a person and as a musician. It was mentioned by one of the judges in an interview after she had won this show that he realized what an amazing _musician_ she was already at this young age when she, during the rehearsals for the semi final, started to give instructions to the guitarist about where he should be more attentive to her rubatos and other things she wanted to change. However, in this song at the audition, where she's using a prerecorded backing track, it's probably only her own vocal rendition that makes it so personal.

She picks and changes the songs she sings. At her rehearsals you will see her correct the conductor or musicians. Very quietly and never gets upset. She is very committed to her music.🤗

Angelina is my favorite singer of all time & has been since I discovered her 2 years ago. I have watched everything she has on RU-vid, including rehearsals. Sometimes the rehearsals are more interesting than the final performance because you get to see how she interacts with adult musicians. She is in charge & they are in awe. She's known for showing up to a recording session & handing out new arrangements to the musicians. You can see that in her "I Put A Spell On You" when she walks in & hands the new arrangement to the conductor who smiles & shakes his head. Sometimes she walks in & the musicians are thinking "we have to play for another rich kid whose parents have hired us," but as soon as she opens her mouth they change their tune. You can see it on their face. I recommend her cover of Adele's "A Million Years Ago," that is so much better than the original & her total rearrangement of the Mommas & Poppas classic song "California Dreaming." It was so good, the remaining Mommas & Poppas posted it on their IG. Who does that! That's respect, musician to musician.

The judges said that she "was born to sing," and "you are music." One rapidly ran out of words. Then she was asked if she understood the meaning of the song. She replied that she did, "It was a sad Sunday." At that age she did not know the history of that song. If you do not know, look it up. Notice that she expresses no performance nerves - she loves to perform and feeds from the audience - the bigger the better.

From what I’ve gathered, she couldn’t speak English when she first performed on Norway’s got talent. So that may be the difference in her singing from 7 til 9 years old. There seems to be more confidence in the pronunciation when she’s 9. Of course it could also just be that she was extremely nervous when on the talent show and has just grown in confidence over the 2 years between this song and the ‘I put a spell on you’ song. Glad you watched these! X

Just fyi, there's a vid of her at 6 years old singing I Who Have Nothing. Awesome, yet cute.

She was fearless the first time on the big stage.

First the blonde back stage was mom. You notice she is not nervous. Her tutor asked Angelina if she was nervous before singing, then she had to explain to Angelina what nervous meant. I know she was only 7, but at 7 I knew what nervous was cause my parents, well my mom at the request of others would offer me up to sing a song at a church function. I was not an Angelina. I had two things going for me, I was loud and in tune. This, what she does is way beyond what I did. She is interpreting the song. Sure she may have listened to Holiday sing it and sang what she heard, but here she didn't have the recording "helping" her. She is way next level into what makes music tick, AT 7 YEARS OLD!! The last judge asked if she knew what the song was about, Angelina said they were having a bad Sunday. If you need another song check out her accapella version of I'm A Fool To Want You. Remember she is 7 years old singing a song that many adults would have a problem covering with music, she has no music accompaniment at all. Just her voice and ear to keep her on pitch and on the beat. And she picked the starting note on her own, at 7 YEARS OLD. Angelina has raised around 20 million dollars for charity up to now. She can only do a few events a year so as not to interfere with her being a child. Angelina chooses benefits for different causes. Plus she sings at wedding. She has been doing that since she was 6-7 and increasing her input as she gained knowledge of music. She has written three original songs. Some teachers call that quality 'emotional transport' the ability to sing directly to the listener's heart. Daneliya Tuleshova can do that as well. Even being aware of that song at 7yo is amazing to me. Her first audition was of I'm a Fool to Want You by Billie Holiday, which she sang a capella and was, in my opinion, an even better performance than this. Then check out Bang Bang from later in the contest, which was better still. Sadly somebody must have been chopping onions nearby, so I missed some of it.

I know why you say she makes the songs "hers". Although the songs remain highly recognizable and often fairly similar she does not imitate the original artist, she does not mimic, she does not do impressions. That voice and her general tone make the song different as if the original artist had been suddenly gifted with more talent.

And that was without all her teeth.
