Certainly Sinatra has performed this song, but his version is very different. Angelina is covering the Louis Prima version. He was a trumpet playing band leader, and Angelina's version sounds very similar. Very fast and upbeat. The players are her fellow students in the afternoon arts school that she attended in Oslo. Angelina's performance of this great song is now my all time favorite version. It always lifts my spirits. Thanks for reacting to it Jennifer. 💕
@@markuss7249 Your right Markus, and Billie's version is great. But Angelina's version is closer to Louis Prima's. Very fast and upbeat. Here's his version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YXYRkp2HZto.html
I lovede it- It was really good, because of the video I uploaded just before it- Beautiful, but sad...and haunting! Susanne Sondfor- When, The Lord. Check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ePmm5pN9Muo.html
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge That is one depressing video Jennifer. Susanne Sundfør is a fellow Norwegian of Angelina's, but about 20 years older. She is very famous in Norway, so I'm sure Angelina knows all about her. But that video is very hard to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Filmed at Waldorf School Oslo. This are her real teachers and classmates from WSO and the others are her schoolmates from the Oslo Academy for music and performing arts. The sad girl is her best friend, you might discover her in the video "AGT Bohemian Rapsody" in the beginning (the blond girl). Oh you might have heard it of Lois Armstrong.
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge No, her sister is several year younger, has long black hair and is not in this video. In the video "million miles" Juliette is playing the younger AJ.
Yes- it is! Especially after my last reaction! Did you see it? Susanne Sundfor's "Where, my Lord"- Here's the link! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ePmm5pN9Muo.html
Jennifer, thank for another wonderful reaction with Angelina, this is almost a little comedy of a girl for her peers, basically a nice game between 11 years old children. The song was written in 1928 and sung by the greatest singers. This video is directed by her grandmother Mery and the location was the her old school, the Waldorf School in Oslo, where Angelina studied when lived in Norway, before to move, with the family, in California. The actors were the classmates and friends of Angelina, the uncle Michael is the teacher in the corridor to which they tear the sheets. It's a nice simple and funny video, but Angelina's voice is always magical and this is truly a small and splendid window on Angelina's world as a child. 😂❤️ ...and please don't forget to smile... 😊
I love this video she always makes me feel better every day as I suffer from chronic anxiety and panic and Angelina helps me all the time I’m 68 and I just adore her no one can touch our Angel 👼 Angelina she’s out of this world 🌎 Love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴💖👼👼👸🏻👸🏻🦶🦶👏👏👍👋😘
Songwriters: Joe Goodwin / Larry Shay / Mark Fisher. When You're Smiling became popular in the United States through versions by Seger Ellis (1928), Louis Armstrong (Okeh, 1929) and Ted Wallace (1930). The video was a school project from Angelina's music school. In addition to Angelina, her family, classmates, theachers and friends were also involved. Angelina's grandma directed it. ✌️😎✌️💯 *AJ* 💯👣
I loved it! it was especially good after watching my previous reaction to Susanne Sundfor's "When, the Lord"- Did you see it? I needed something to lighten the mood after that!
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge , No, I know the video and the story about Lene Marie Fossen and her amazing work and I can understand you well. I can't watch the video again 😢😢😢
Just imagine, ten years from now when the world has returned to something resembling normal again and Angelina's selling out stadiums in seconds, we'll be able to go back into our libraries and watch these little gems all over again, and it's all thanks to Grandmother Mery. What a treasure trove she's given us!
Strange, that the really good and popular artists like Dimash and Angelina don't block their videos online. I read that Dimash releases an album and it sells out in about 30 minutes. Let the artists that block. ..Take a lesson from their humble nature. If you're that good people will buy your albums.
Love this one. I have one from the AGT I would like you to react to if you have`nt already. It is called someone you loved. Don`t remember the original, Chris Isac ? At AGT Angelina is singing this song, she is doing a performance together with a sandartist called Ksenia Simonova and a violinist called Tyler Butler F. It is awonderful performance they made together. Ann.
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge I am sorry to say I don`t have the link and I would not know how to send it to you. I am so hopeless with this kind of things. It was on the same America got talent show where she sang Bohemian rapsody and yellow brick road. Ann
This is in line with Angelina's way of life. That is to be compassionate and help others just as with the shoes and giving to charities. She was only 10 here, and you can hear that this is her genre of jazz. And one of her best examples. You may want to consider reacting to another Frank Sinatra song that she does. You Make Me feel so Young!
Child prodigies seem to be popping up so quickly these days. Wowing us with the maturity of someone with a full lifetime of experience. So nice to see and and I can't wait to see what's next.
So true! I am loving every minute of it- and I've got so much more...Check out the one I just uploaded. Susanne Sundfor, "When, The Lord"- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ePmm5pN9Muo.html
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge That's the thing with silent movies, there used to be someone who would play piano in the cinema, Charlie composed the music to go along with the movie! Originally there were no lyrics, they were added later, I think Nat King Cole?
I would LOVE it if you would react to another child prodigy also. Her name is Yoyoka Soma, and she is one of the best drummers in the world! She first played live on stage at the age of 4, and she is now world renowned. Get ready to be blown away by her sheer talent! This is The Who's song Getting In Tune. I'm anxious to hear your reply! Thanks!
Hi Larry, Would you mind posting this request on the community tab on my channel page? It makes it easier to find. I welcome suggestions, here, they just disappear once I respond to your comments. Thanks!
Angelina keeps me smiling all the time and she also inspires me in all the right ways. I have turned 180 degrees on my thought process concerning Republic Records. I have been critical of Republic for not promoting her first two singles. I now like to think Republic has given Angelina and her family what they desired and that is the freedom to create without interference AND allow Angelina to finish her schooling before having her career explode. We angels need to be patient and in the meantime, I will work harder at helping my neighbors which is so important to Angelina and her family. I will be requesting reactors to support a charity or find other ways to help those in need.
@@9Ballr Excellent charities 9Ballr. I truly hope that it is the case Republic is allowing the wishes of Angelina and her family. Can you imagine how many songs Angie will create over the next couple years without the pressure of stardom? Boggles the mind.

OK ... DANG IT! ... So - agAIN - I'm just sittin' here - at the house - alone - and SMILING like a DANG DEMENTED IDIOT!! HA HA HA HA HA I LOVE this one HA HA HA HA HA
That's ok Horace, better than the alternative! LOL. I loved it too! Did you see the one I released just before it? it's so sad and beautiful, but I had to do AJ after to lift my spirits. I warn you, it's haunting! Here's the link- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ePmm5pN9Muo.html
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge It isn't her sister. It's her best friend. Juliette was much smaller at that age, and the sad girl doesn't look like Juliette at all.
Now, there are lots of very young singers around. Some, like Angelina, are really great, just because her music ist very pure. Now on this Account AJLucasLuthier I found really beautiful, touching music, done by an older couple, last one was "Torn" known at last by Avril Lavigne. Absolutely no business, only music... No special virtuosity, just originality. Worth to listen. Lot of blues, but also songs like "Comfortly Numb" (Pink Floyd)
Great reaction again Jennifer. Loved you in chat on your livestream. More please. So excited about your upcoming reactions. When are you dropping them? and by them you know who I mean.
Hi Daniel. Did you want me to react to it or just upload it? I will add it to the collection on the "Reaction Diaries", in a day or two. Haven't had much time to react, I've had these ready to go for about a week. I'll probably do some more later this week, but don't know how many I'll get done.
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge I guess I might be wrong. I meant The Warning reaction you mentioned in live chat. I'm on pins and needles. You do anything you want with anything else you have. It's your world and we are here on your invitation. So far that's been awesome. ✌️💖
Something different. Please consider FIRST TIME HEARING Joey & Rory "When I'm Gone" Very powerful. Sadly, this song came true for these two years after recording. Careful watching as a couple. (tissue alert) Thanks in advance.
Don't tell me you just reacted to a Lara Fabian song before this? lol Anyway, glad you enjoyed this. BTW, that was Angelina's uncle in the hallway when the kid took all the papers and threw them all over the place. I guess she was 11 here and you can see she was already very tall. Actually 6' now. 'Bye!"
@@TheSpeakEasyLounge Lara Fabian is a fabulous vocalist whose talents were never fully recognized by the world mostly due to career choices she made. You will see what I mean. I recommend you listen to her sing "Je Suis Malade". Please, Jennifer, prepare yourself for something that will...........I'll leave it at that. The particular live performance you want is the one from a 1999 gig. You need English translations. She sings this in French. She is very fluent in English, French and Italian.

Here us the background of the song en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_You%27re_Smiling Angelina's version is based on the 1958 hit by Louis (pronounced Louie) Prima, a popular big band leader, trumpet player and singer back in the day. Here is Louis singing it in a medley of his other big hits. The lady in the background is his wife, Keely Smith, who was a great singer herself. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yMwseIJwNao.html
Apparently Angelina was a Louie Prima fan.. In a short video at Christmas time, she is icing a gingerbread house..and in the background near the end of the video you hear Louie Prima singing the song " Angelina ", and Angie makes a " Oh God " expression.
