Indeed. And he is wearing a red suit similar to the ones used by Elvis' band members on the 68' comeback tour 🙂 I believe Rob has been nominated for 17 Grammys as well. He's the artistic director of Republic Records (Angelina's record label) and he has taken on somewhat of a mentor role for Angelina. (This comment is not meant for YOU, Mike McDevitt, but rather for Mike (sounds familiar) and Jess 🙂 )
ROB Christie I believe is also her mentor at Republic .. although I heard only a week or two ago that someone had said that about him and in front of him and, without missing a beat, he said sincerely "On the contrary .. Angelina is MY mentor!!" Gotta love him .. sure do love his piano, that I KNOW!
Awesome reaction....Angelina will be 17 on Jan 10th, 2023.....following for 7 years...In all my 82 years, she is my favorite young super star..Angelina Jordan Astar.
She has been called the girl with a 1000 voices. She has an amazing talent for always adding something of the original artists whether it be manipulating her voice to sound like theirs, singing in their key or just subtle nuances. She makes it easy to hear the (words/story/message) in a song.
Angelina never ceases to amaze me, at just how incredibly talented she is, and that she can take her voice to newer levels, we have never heard before.....there is something so special about her ability, to tell the songs story, allowing us to listen with a new perspective, and hear & feel emotions, we may not have heard from the original artist 💖💖💖 Not only her voice, but her delivery is also her gift!
Here it is! The highly requested, highly touted. The Suspicious Minds Cover we've all been waiting for! Angelina Jordan is a mega star. It was so strange going from "Gloomy Sunday" straight to this. Go support Angelina's Official RU-vid channel here - ru-vid.com Check out her cover channel here - ru-vid.com/show-UCv-QOBc_N1xb8dTwqazD9Kg Thank you all for watching! See you on the next one!
@@GrandmaEllen Ellen, I've known about the interview for quite some time and it always blows my mind. She sits there, completely still and at peace with herself. And when you look at the pictures of her during the interview, it just blows your mind. Calm, beautiful facial features. What 7 year old girl is so calm and composed. And above all, when she reads from her diary, madness. Quiet, calm and very clear, with an intonation that takes your breath away!! As many have written, an angel has come to earth!
sorry don't wish to usurp " Ellin " but hope you don't look at that interview suggested by Ellin as I have in your reaction to gloomy Sunday suggested that interview and the performance of " UNCHAINED MELODY " as a possible future double reaction, I hope you will react to both as only around 7 minutes in total. don't mean any offence to Ellin .regards Tom.
@@friedrichgunther5335 , yes, indeed. The description of what happened in her heart truly humbles me. It reminds me of other interviews where she describes the place she is in when she sings.
Thank you for another excellent reaction to Angelina. For me and thousands of other "Angels" she is by far the best "storyteller" in the world. From her first performance at the age of seven, she has had the innate ability to read and understand all the emotions in the lyrics and melody of a song, and even more remarkable is her gift of being able to transmit those emotions to her listener. Her audience is "you" - every individual. It isn't a group thing, it is a personal experience for every individual who is watching and listening to her. The song was written by Mark James. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, he is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).
Elvis covers?? She has also done her covers on these from Elvis` repertoire: - Welcome to my world, It`s now or never, Are you lonesome tonight, I can`t help falling in love with you. She even made a stunning cover of "How Great You Are", honoring Elvis. As she was honoring her grandfather who passed, she did it by singing "You`r Always On My Mind" in a most touching video.
Mike and Jess, Angelina transformed this song from a drama about suspicion in a romantic relationship to a plea for innocence and openness in a post-truth world -- as a path to love, IMO. Enthralling!!!
Wow, this sounds almost exactly what I commented to another reaction about a month ago...clever paraphrasing.. Shall I say "Angelina doesn't cover a song, she uncovers it" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Sound familiar, Barry?? PEACE!! 😂
Same guitar too. The girls, the two young ones are here cousins, her Uncle Mike's daughters. The oldest girl is 'The love of Angelina's life', her sister Juliette. This was the same store she sang, 'Funny Valentine,' and one other, in. That opening was her saying 'WORLD!!! Here I am!!!!!!!!! It was flawless.
I've been living my life through Angilina for nearly 8 years now and Angilina is the only performer that I really truly Love. Seeing her grow up, I Love her like my own daughter. I would do anything for Angilina and her family, all they have to do is ask. She is real, what you see is what you get, Love, smiles, beauty, and the thoughtfulness she has for humanity. She is a One in a Trillion very beautiful and talented young lady, beyond talented. Great reaction y'all. 😎🇺🇲👍💯🌟
I think you are getting that you can play just about anything she has done and get blown away. Welcome down the rabbit hole of the bare foot Princess behold and be amazed.
That was part 2 of the amazing antique store trilogy....If you want more chandelier watch My funny Valentine 2022.. and part 3 I have Nothing.....all filmed in the same store and all mind blowing good all 16 years old
I really enjoyed listening to this song again through your soft hearts and clean ears. Tears are perfectly acceptable when it comes to Angelinas music. There is always something to wait for in her songs and in this one, the long, sustained, breathy, note toward the end. (iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii dry the tears from your eyes.) Your love is visibly lifted by these lyrics. Sweet glances. Hope you show your kids some Angelina. They have pure reactions too. Love and much success to you and your family. Enjoying your journey so far.
With all the amazing talents Angie has, one that never stops to amaze me is how she always is able to bring out some of the original artist on her covers and you clearly felt it too. Thanks for a great reaction and another "excuse" to listen to Angie!!
It's hard to believe Angelina is only 16 here. When you take the setting and lighting, the camera work, the costuming, the beautiful piano playing, and then all the symbolisms in the video, it is just stunning. But then, you add to that the exquisitely beautiful voice of Angelina, you have a masterpiece. I truly believe this should be nominated for a Grammy! PS: you both have quickly become my favorite reactors.
I just can't imagine what she's going to be like at around 18 to 20 years old. At 16 she has the chops and stage presence of the best of them at any age. Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin, Elvis, whoever!
Elvis Vegas tour- black leather outfit, red guitar, band wearing red jumpsuits. Antique shop, shaking the dust off relics of the past, and probably a reference to her growth from a baby to now. She has spent her life bringing the relics of the past to life again. The artistry of her and her grandmother is really interesting, and quite a combination. Both prodigies, both thinking and living in an entirely different realm, bringing bits of that realm to focus for us.
Anything she sings, her originals or her covers, she finds the love in the message of the song and she wants to share it with us through song. She is truly a Messenger of Love.
At what point does 🌺The Barefoot Princess become your "all-time favorite emotional-affecting singer" ? It took me roundabout my 3rd video experience in Nov.2020 ...AGT Champions Bohemian Rhapsody/Goodbye Yellow Brick road, then I've Got A Spell on You... then her 1st Republic Records release of her original "Million Miles (Live Studio)" in Nov.2020 as well, AJ's age 14. Cheers 🍻
Yeah so many Elvis imagery: indeed the black leather suit, the red guitar, the Priscilla hairdo, the microphone and also the red suit worn by Rob Christie (the guy at the piano and Grammy winner). Also she comes in uncovering beautiful pieces from the past bringing them into the present. Also her two little cousins and her sister give an impression of her growing up and coming to the present. Elvis version is great and was an is a joy to watch: he was a master showman: it was upbeat and cheerful. Listening to him makes me wonder though how distraught he really was being caught in an inescapable trap :-) Angelina gave a great tribute to Elvis and also turned the song upside down: she turned the bridge into an intro and and an outro, slowed it down and stripped it down. With the beautiful crystal clear piano and the melancholy in her voice, she made really listen to this sad story where love is being destroyed by distrust and she also made me feel it. Thanks and keep going in whichever direction you want :-) There are more Elvis covers like ‘How Great Thou Art’ where you can really hear her lower register: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WLAEy1LIHrc.html
I knew you were going to love this one since you are fans of Elvis. Angelina is so good at re-inventing songs, and still honoring the intent of the original. Here she inserts many Elvis references... from the Priscilla hair to the red guitar and the leather suit to pay tribute to Elvis, and the way she arranged the song, really brings out new meaning in the lyrics. Since you are not as familiar with Angelina, I will also point out that she got the whole family involved in this production... The little girls are her cousins, and the older girl is her sister Juliette. Her grandmother Mery also worked on the set design. She has such a close family and they often show up in her videos.
This old man imagines he hears a "music box" sound quality in the intro and outro. Particularly the outro when it sounds as if the beat is slowing down. Almost as if the music box is losing its spring tension. Just enough energy to snap the last tine over low note on the drum. But then again nostalgia may be playing tricks with my hearing. Those memories go back almost 70 years. I wonder if the piano tone quality was a deliberate decision with respect to this music box effect. Deliberate or not I get the pleasure of enjoying it. Best wishes.
Could you just imagine a Stan Walker duet with this young masterful lass. His soul and her breathy runs……just take my money now. I’d pay all I have to see that performance.
Yes, the total nod to Elvis 68 special, the guitar 🎸 is an exact copy of the one he used. Do look into the background of why Angelina is always barefoot. Among 100 other things she is also Norways 🇳🇴 youngest published author as she wrote a book about the barefoot story, she isn't only the best singer out there she is an incredible humanitarian, donating millions, most of her proceeds to children's caused. Can't wait for your next reaction!
@@RNTV If you listen to the tone she uses here it is quite nasal resonant, markedly so in a couple of places, like here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-djzuNjazLM0.html That is classic Elvis. You will discover that Angelina has the ability to reproduce the essence of many voices, without being a "copycat". She can sound like Amy Winehouse, Dinah Washington, Adele, Billie Holiday, the list goes on, yet still have that distinctive emotive voice.
Hey guys, the little girls in this video are her cousins & the older one is her sister. At 16, Angelina is the most charismatic & moving singer I’ve ever heard in my long life as a singer songwriter. She’s truly a special young lady! Love your appreciation of this song & all others she’s done. Check out her b&w version of “I have nothing” Whitney cover. Incredible!!! Thankyou so much..
A bit of memorabilia for you. The Hagstrom Red Guitar used in this video is a modern up to date copy of the one Elvis used in 1968. The Hagstrom Red Guitar belonged to musician Al Casey, a member of Elvis’ backing band during the special in 1968. According to an accompanying letter from Casey, he was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they "thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set." Elvis Presley’s 1942 Martin D-18 acoustic guitar may have recently sold for $1.32 million, but fear not - another of the King’s axes, this one his cherry-red Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, famous for its use in the legendary '68 Comeback Special, is hitting the block. The semi hollow instrument is a highlight of Kruse GWS Auctions’ Artifacts of Hollywood & Music auction, which begins on March 27. It's being offered with a starting bid of $250,000. By Matt Owen published March 31, 2021 Now, it has been confirmed that the legendary semi-hollow has been sold for a whopping $625,000, with the proud new owner of the lot
My favorites are: Million Miles (studio version) Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, Yellow Brick Road, All I Ask, Young and Beautiful- you can't pick a wrong one!
Angelina Jordan Astar has always known what her purpose in life was. At a very young age she told her mother she wanted to sing for the world, at age 7 her audition on Norway’s got talent went viral and she accomplished that, she also told her mom she wanted to sing at the Noble peace prize concert which she accomplished at 8 years old. From there it really gets crazy she went on a four year world tour helping raise millions for different charities and causes. She is just as comfortable in her home performing or in front of 40,000 people opening for Norah Jones or doing a charity concert with PSI in Korea, or being the opening act for Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration in London. Her team has always looked out for her best interest since she was born, which is unique in itself since her team is her grandmother Mery Zamani aka Mosarz world renowned poet and artist who instilled in Angelina her love of Jazz and her humanitarianism, mother Sara and father Gerry and uncle Michael her manager. Because her grandma Mery herself was a child prodigy the Astar family was well acquainted with fame and how best to deal with it.
This video is Angelina's "Love Letter" to Elvis. She's done tributes to many other iconic singers as well: Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Whitney Houston, Dinah Washington, Michael Jackson and, of course, Billie Holiday. All are beautiful, heartfelt, and technically amazing performances. Some have been remixed as mash-ups with the original artist's recording, making it even more obvious how remarkable they are -- especially since most of them were recorded before Angelina was even a teenager!
As an Elvis fan, this was an ultimate Elvis love letter. I enjoyed ever bit of the song and the video details! We are looking forward to watching more tributes from her! Thank you! 💜
Nice reaction and catching the little things in the video! Her Grandma Mery (Mery Zamani - the second name you see in the beginning of the video) helped produced this. Angelina used the same store (Melrose Gallery) she used for her My Funny Valentine video as well as for her I Have Nothing video. Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano. Rob is also studio director of Republic Records and has taken Angelina under his wing. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King! As for your next video, why not check out her cover of Easy on Me by Adele? She takes the song and elevates it to another level. You minds might be tricked when watching this video because there are moments in the video that you can't tell if it's Adele or Angelina singing! Crazy good! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mpw5Q76hWWE.html Enjoy!
thank you for researching before reacting,,,,,knowledge makes it so much easier to watch and we do not need to waste time to write in a comment,,,,,,its not Amy s hair its Priscilas (not just hers),,,so once again thanks
This is a classic example of this very unique individual, when she does her covers, she pays homage to the original and then ads her own unique twists that make is so much better than it was originally performed.
Her Message before her Life performance in Norway last month with the Song..Please be kind to each other and spread Love, because the world needs it . She was very emotional with tears in her Eyes to sing it for all of us. Tears of happiness ,she said 💘
Hello, Mike and Jess! Here is an interview you might like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--cCLDY0CSZ8.html Looking forward to your reaction to Suspicious Minds: We get to hear another superb arrangement. She takes away the party vibe and lays open the story and its truth. 💜
It does so without the hips swivels the restless leg or the Exercise plunge maneuvers towards the floor!!!! I think maybe I saw her lip whoever once though, LOL
Sorry to usurp you Ellen but I have on the previous reaction " gloomy Sunday " suggested that interview and the performance of " UNCHAINED MELODY " for a future possible double reaction, so I hope our loving couple " mike / jess don't take a peek and spoil their possible future reaction. sorry regards Tom.
@@rickrack4812 of course totally agree I wasn't attempting to usurp ellin I wasn't sure if her link was meant as a reaction or just for " Mike and jess personal information so I didn't want them spoiling any future reaction by taking a look. so l hope that's clear for you and ellin .thanks for your input, regards Tom.
Great and heartfelt reaction! What strucks me with some of her renditions and I see it here, too, is that she is singing these words to us, the listeners. She really means that. Maybe she has already got some negative feedback from people who cannot and will not give her credit and the love back which she presents to us from the very beginning. I had the same feeling after listening to her saying to us that she put a spell on us and that she just loves us anyhow, no matter what we say - in a very positive and awakening sense. No wonder that people get touched and often comforted and even in a way healed by her and by the way she sings turning directly to our souls as if we had not much time.
The newest video will blow you away. I promise. The boots, Priscilla hair, the red guitar from the comeback special, the feeling of Graceland. Probably more I missed. She pays tribute to every artist she sings.
That was great Mike and Jess. Kudo's to Jess for picking up on all of Angelina's tributes to the King, and she is the Queen. The guitar is also of the 68 comeback tour as well as the red jump suit that Rob Christie, on piano, that Elvis's bandmembers wore in 68 tour. Rob, is a multi Grammy award winning musician and currently is Director of Republic Records LA and has taken Angelina under his wing. Has played for her on a number of her video's already. He is well aware of the Talent of this young lady at their record company. Nice job guys...Cheers to you.
Yeah! She’s something special, isn’t she? Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. Epic. Incredible. There are no words. Epic! Wow, Wow, Wow! Could it be more Beautiful? ♥👣👸🏻🎷 Yeah she did Concerts in Norway last month! Album to drop soon! So much to look forward to.♥👣👸🏻🎷

First of all.. beautiful version of this classic song and I feel the lyrics finally felt in synch with the song ❤️ Second.. Nice reaction, and I enjoyed it 👍 I think your next one should be Stay, a Rihanna cover she did when she was age 12 ❤️ That is simply a masterpiece ❤️
Hi M&J, Just going through your back catalogue😊This has long been my favourite Elvis track & when I first heard Angelina's version I'm not ashamed to say I shed a tear (56, 6'4 125kg!!!) Love your reactions 🇺🇸💚🇬🇧✌️
Angelina also sang this song live at her 2022 Norway Concerts ( a must-watch - Angelina talks to the audience before singing the song): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bIBYDdWSw6Q.html
Thanks for the wonderful reaction guys, me too love this absolutely amazing, so personal rewrite of this iconic song that Angelina created, with so many Elvis tribute details. Now it's a different song, but it's also the same, it still has that harmony, but somehow (in a way only Angelina can process) it's even more emotional, it's slower, but it's so close to your soul flow that kidnaps you. In short, it's a very "made in Angelina" song and you just want it to last longer. 💛🧡❤
When you listened to gloomy Sunday it would have been best to 1st listen to the original and you then are extremely amazed how well she does it.... I did not get it at 1st until I did so. Amazing. This song is truly addictive. You may have to get a couple more early songs under your belt 1st, But when you are ready, Is the song performance of """ I'm still holding out for you""" Will probably leave you a bit speechless.
If you really want to see just how close she is to the Billie Holiday original, check out this video I made a couple years ago combining the two. Note: this is not really for reactions or general listening. It's just to show how Angelina really nailed it. (also note: this video is blocked in Norway and on Mobile devices so you may not be able to see it)... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H_5_AT_N-pg.html
This is my 74th time experiencing this video, and each and every time it gets better. We must give credit to the support team behind this phenom. There is no one on earth that can match the talent of this STORYTELLER. AJ deconstructs a song then reconstruct it to make each individual hearing it feel it was written for them, a love letter to their comfort zone. It is the same antique store in Hollywood that she used for My Funny Valentine AJ plays guitar, keyboard/piano, violin and flute. Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book. No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase
Yes, you have a lot of great comments and information to read about Angelina, all true. I just want to add that there are precious couples out there doing reactions, but for me, and I've seen 4 of yours, and have subscribed on the second one, you two take the cake. Thumbs up, some of the best reacting I've ever seen.
A great video as your follow-up to your Gloomy Sunday reaction. In this you see her sister and two cousins, likely symbolizing her growth and maturing from that early stage to her present state. Great reaction as ever🤗
Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great and, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. If you haven’t already reacted to her latest studio of Whitney Houston's version you should - here’s the link - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iX0g99jN26U.html 🙂
this is the last thing he did but there are videos of his first time in a studio at the age of 6 " i who have nothing " . They have to entertain themselves for a while with the covers and their own songs. thank you both 🇦🇷
I always liked the Elvis version of this song, primarily for the sound of his voice and the rhythm of the song. Angelina has made me care about the message. How can we build our dream for this world as humans, if we know nothing but suspicion? If I could recommend a new artist for the channel, I think you'd love Shoshana Bean, especially her cover of Make It Rain. She's known best for music theater, but lady can sing the blues! Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a_YSY3jcBuo.html
Absolutely second this suggestion, Shoshana Bean on "Make It Rain" is gorgeous! Absolutely brilliant! Capstan50g, may I suggest to you a new cover of "I'd rather go blind" by Beth Hart, and she got Eric Gales joining her band on guitar... absolutely epic, lady can sing and guy can play the guitar, them together on one stage is musical pornography :) Just released a couple of days ago, the event was a Blues Festival in Romania... here you are, I'm sure you'll love it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ICmfLY_wG8E.html
Really enjoy your reactions. Your comments are sincere and enthusiastic. Thanks for the support you are give Angelina. This young artist is such a breath of fresh air regarding her incredible voice but what is most unbelievable is her ability to bring you into her song when she sings. She is absolutely mesmerizing.
You know what else enhances these videos, your reaction. It's funny that you mention if someone told you she was from Nashville because Angelina does throw a hint of country twang in her singing. She could go Country Bluesy Jazz and it be awesome. Great reaction guys.
I enjoyed your reaction. If you want to hear more Angelina/Elvis, check out Welcome To My World or How Great Thou Art. The latter will give you guaranteed goose-bumps! Also, don't forget to listen to some of her recent Norway concerts. Pick anything - it's all mind-blowing!
The more u watch her covers u will see a trend, as Angie has pure genius to match her vocal abilities in remastering songs in a fantastic way. As always she pay respect to the original artist, but imho clarifies the lyrics and for me, adds way more emotion.
My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust.
