Here, at 16-1/2, Angelina shows her fans she's no slouch and can perform with the greats. This is a fine live studio performance and the Republic Records' professional touch was present. If her meteoric improvement from age 6 to the present is any indicator, by the time she is 20 there will be no female vocal equal. BTW she sang this in her concerts in June and July in Norway. Although most reactors will choose a studio performance to view, Angelina is at her best in live performance on-stage, IMO. She will be 17 on January 10, 2023, and graduate from High School mid-year.

Well, GOD Bless! First baby ? I’m 73 and remember helping delivering both of my two boys like it was yesterday. Cut the cord, carried up to the incubator, etc. hope all goes well and that you have a beautiful family. Whitney was 29 years old in a studio with full backup and lots of run throughs. It was an intimidating song for Whitney to sing live and rarely performed it live in the later half of her career.

This performance is beyond belief, the cinemaphotography, the ART, and this time we get to savor over 4 minutes of total bliss, no one is capable of doing this song justice like Angelina Jordan. David Foster and Linda Thompson, who co-wrote this ballad for Whitney Houston would be blown away by this performance. She changed the key to this song, but does it really matter as long as she has the ability to give each word, or phrase, meaning like no one else in this universe can. How can she evoke such emotion in each and every performance? Why do I get chills, or cry tears, or lose my breath when Angelina sing a song that I have experienced many times in the past without this happening? If this feeling only happened to me that would be ok, but it happens to billions of people. We play these videos of AJ over, and over again to get our high. I was a Whitney fan from the beginning of her career to her tragic end. Whitney was great, but Angelina at 16 is far better than Whitney ever was at making you feel each word, and phrase. AJ changes every cover to make it hers and far, far better than the original. AJ is the greatest STORYTELLING ARTEST I have ever experienced in my 75 years.

I may have heard this by whitney a dozen times. Amazing, yes. Ive heard Angelina’s version dozens oftimes. Mostly w reactioneers. But she makes it warmer and from another era. Her tone is so full,warm, and solid. Her belting is almost in another dimension its so full and not screamy. I really hope her label gets real creative with her current library. Shes walking into her career at number 1.

This was a masterful performance by Angelina, which she did several times at her concerts in Norway this summer, in addition to the studio version. At the concerts, she dedicated to her grandmother who has been ill, and it was quite emotional. You guys are great and all the angels on behalf of Angelina Thank you for supplying her links in your description and encouraging viewers to show her love. Just a brief follow up on that. The reason for fans to go to those links is to help Angelina boost her RU-vid algorithm. Most viewers do not know what's showing her love means as they already love her! Taking in to account that Whitney and Angelina sing two different styles and vocal ranges, and are 12 years apart in age when they recorded their songs, I still think Whitney's studio version (however many takes were involved) is the best version of it, BUT I feel that Angelina's live version is better than any other live version I've heard, including Whitney's. The emotion that I feel/hear in all of Angelina's songs are the deciding factor for me.

This song is not they type of song which fits Angelina best but she certainly did it justice. Angelina, at her last concert in Norway this past July, dedicated this song to her grandmother, Mery, who has been battling health issues and was unable to make the trip to Norway. When Angelina sings, "Don't you DARE walk away from me" it is highly emotional for her and for her angels.

I have seen many Whitney fans react to this,and i remember one guy in particular. One of the brothas with a nicer tan then all of us 3 (my way of saying that he shares Whitneys skincolour) He kept stopping it because he got too excited,and he spoke to his sideman (the one that helps him edit and publish his videos im guessing) He said: You know,this will go from "have you heard Whitneys song I Have Nothing,to: Dude,have you heard Angelinas version of this song?!". And let me re-paint the picture of this guy,he is a massive Whitney fan. And he said: "People are gonna hate me for this im sure,but Angelina sings this better then Whitney!" Myself i heard her as barely a teenager doing this for fun,as a tribute to Whitney herself. With just a camera she had put up herself,a microphone and a pre-recorded track of the song,it sounded a tiny but karaoke stylish. And she blew me away already then,but you could tell that the strain on her voice became clear on the highest notes. But i think she explained it later on,that she wanted to test herself,as people only thought or meant she could sing down low and deep songs,in pure jazz style etc. Thats why she did not call it a cover until she was comfortable enough with her performance,wich this video is a solid proof of. She waited until her own body and vocals had matured abit more,and im sure tons of practices to this song,to perfect how she wanted to sound like. And she is flawless in this cover,she delievers this song with soo much more storytelling,emotion then Whitney ever did. Im not trashing Whitney,mom had all of Whitneys albums wich i co-listened to alot,i dont have any negative thoughts about Whitney whatsoever,if anything i memorize her life with sadness,i wish she got out of her addiction and real life obstacles before it damaged her the way it did. Back to the song,Whitney delievered it with that "diva power",at least before her own health started getting so damaged,so could no longer hit the highest notes live. (This came from her own circle,Whitney admitted to them that she simply couldnt hit the highest note of this song anymore,so i think either she stopped performing it live,or she re-arranged the song abit) And knowing how much of a Whitney fan Angelinas grandmother is,and Angelina as well by raiding her grandmothers music collection since childhood,this cover is really made with love. Like i mentioned before,Angelina embraces artists regardless of problems with addiction or whatever,thats why Angelina finds it as the biggest compliment possible that some call her Amy Winehouse either by looks,or by how she sounds. (And she has fought her parents over getting allowance to cover Amys songs,where Angelinas compromise was "re-writing the darkest lyrics") Imagine if all of the worlds population had Angelinas mindset and amount of love,there wouldnt be any issues at all. She is still SOO young,but she has the soul,mind as a well seasoned artist. Still till this day,im baffled by how she looks upon the world,the people etc living on this earth,and so much more. Now granted Angelina is very soft spoken,she admits she feels socially awkward having to talk in the public eye,she often struggles to let her speech float,its alot of stuttering sometimes. Im sure its both some nerves and shyness involved. But if you ask her to sing,she turns into this fearless,flawless goddess that will make everyone stop what they are doing or talking about,and just pay full attention to her. That power change in personality is very interesting and maybe just as mindblowing as her vocal performances. And right away after her last singing note,she goes back to "socially awkward but adorable Angelina". Oh remember the guy i talked about who was a Whitney fan and said Angelina did this one better then Whitney? He also said after hearing the emotions in her voice "if you ever hurt this girl...if you ever hurt this girl,im coming for you!" If you give thoose words some thought,its very deep! Angelina has gotten sooo many "Uncles,Aunties" and what have you through her journey already,who has "adopted her through music",and the common thing is that "we got your back,we will protect you!". Angelina should never fear ending up without a family,she will always have someone out there. And thats heartwarming! Oh man,this was Jess`s final reaction video as pregnant? Somehow i want to salute her for actually doing a reaction video,potentially the day before giving birth. Man,that speaks volume about her as a person too.
