Republic Records should let Angelina come out with a Christmas album for sure this winter. She did a Christmas concert with Boris last Christmas that I loved. She can match, or beat Mariah on Christmas songs because she puts more emotion into her songs. I saw the clip where they met Angelina and her mom by accident. Back then Angelina was just a normal pretty 13 year old. Fast forward, and a amazing transformation has taken place, now she looks, and acts like a mature 25 year old professional singer, that could pass for a drop dead gorgeous super model. (except when we see her on "TIC TAC with that phony baloney voice she uses)
I have listened to both Whitney and Mariah's movie track version, which by the way is fantastic but both are powerful individual singers competing against one another thus the loss of the emotion that the song needs to be able to get the story across to the audience, and Angelina's version 10 times each, and I must admit that I prefer Angelina's version better because it has the heart and soul that the song needs to take you on this magical mystical ride full of emotion from start to finish in such a way that you are swept up into the story of the song.
Angelina is doing it again. After hearing it for the first time, I was overwhelmed and confused. I didn't know the original song, so I made up for that. Angelina covers the extremely difficult Oscar-winning song by two of the greatest female voices in music history and, with her *Angelina's spirit* , turns it into something spectacularly new and more than does justice to the original. perfect is an understatement here. The only critical point, Angelina's performance is too short, *as always* ✌😎✌💯 *AJ* 💯🎙

I agree with Master Lee, I love the original, but the belting by Whitney & Mariah seemed like a competition in vocal mastery at the expense of emoting the meaning. Angelina, told the story in an emotional way by using her soft, whisper singing while dazzling you with her voice control & beautiful tone. And yes, Angelina deserves the most sensitive mic available, so you can hear every little nuance of her vocals.
Today I have heard the original for the first time,and even if the singing there are great,I can say that I don't plan to listen to their version in the near future,but to Angelina's version I think I have to listen to her many more times the next hours,and that is in my opinion the difference between Angelina and the majority of artists today.You can listen to the great singers of today,and it can be ok,but when you have finished the song,you want to hear other songs,when you have finished a song by Angelina on the other hand,her beautiful voiced filled with emotions draw you in,and it only grows on you,and you want to listen to it more,so for me it is a easy choice,I prefer Angelina's version way over the original,even if it is great singing in the original too,but Angelina's way of transmitting her emotions to you the lisstener are unparralelled in the singing world today IMO.
How smart is Angelina? She's not trying to concur with the two powerhouse divas W. Houston and M. Carey. She's doing what she always does best... slowing down the song and putting an emotion to it, like only Angelina can do. Incredibly well done!!!
I think that they were in Rob Christie's home studio again (as in her last 2 or 3 recordings) with him on the piano. Rob is the Director of Republic's L.A. studio and a 2-time Grammy winner. Someone pointed out that at the beginning of the song, Angelina bent down and adjusted something twice, perhaps the volume of her earphones, which suggests that this performance was intended to be a rehearsal. It was so perfect that it was released on Republic's YT channel. Studio directors have noted that Angie is their dream artist, rarely needing a second take. By the way, the film was in 1998, not 1989. Also, the nasty sound at the beginning is not a computer booting up, it is exactly the sound that telephone modems made when connecting to remote servers - I remember well.
The modem sound at the beginning is like fingernails down a chalkboard (another outdated reference, as chalkboards have been largely replaced with whiteboards). Angelina's contribution is perfection.

I have recently read from a j fan club a post about reactor taking views from her channels, we all know why we like to see others react to her music, but do we need others making a profit from her video's. since I think you 2 are on the side of what's right & good for aj maybe you can spread the word about this subject
I guess you can argue it both ways. Reactors can spread the word of an artist that many people may not have heard about before,. So many non-mainstream artists have blown up on RU-vid and gotten exposure that no record label could ever replicate. And I think that's the case for Angelina. I do think it's always great when reactors include a link to the artist's YT channel to support them though. Truth is, views from RU-vid generate very little money for music artists because YT takes a massive cut of the money, and then the other half is taken by record labels if it's something like a cover song. Big money for music artists comes from performances and music sales. We're always happy to spread the Angelina love though!

Only thing I liked about this video was being able to hear the old school modem! Angelina Jordan what can I say, you either like it or you don't. I DO NOT like any of her music. I'd much rather sit here listening to some good heavy metal rock. Over the decades the world has slowly gone downhill. World was a much better place in the 50s, 60s, 70s. But many factors have brought the world down. Music wise, Angelina Jordan, POP, HipHop, etc., is slowly corrupting our world.
