Thanks, Chris. From all the 'Angels' who saw this, beautifully done. From all the people who aren't quite 'Angels' yet, their quote is, "Excuse me, but what did I just see?" Their shock is to be expected. They will probably be sitting at their computer for the next 3 hours or so listening to Angelina and they will think only about 15 minutes passed by. And, of course, the 'Angel' population will continue to grow.

After finally getting to see that the illusive Gerry Christian Slattman, Angelina's father, was actually backstage when she won NGT and can be seen beaming with pride and being quite affectionate as part of the family, it was the final piece to the puzzle, so to speak, and I wish it was included here as well. Now, the only things missing are intimate photos or videos of her two grandfathers with her, that sadly are gone. P.S. - Also, if there's an existing photo/video of the Viking God Odin casting Angelina to Earth, going inside of Sara, that would be welcomed also.

Very well done Chris. Certainly not my favorite performance by our barefoot princess but you did a great job putting this video together. I always find it interesting to hear Angelina's voice alongside one of the greats as it just confirms my personal belief that Angelina's voice is my all time favorite.

Felt the same! Angelina is just not as steady (especially in th 4th 'quarter') as we are used from her. I think she practiced it too often before the recording. It's an exhausting song and her tessitura is a bit lower than Whitney's. Still it's insane how she performs it at that age, and for the first time I noticed that a few parts are even more beautiful from Angelina (to my taste). More sustained, (legato). But I want to repeat to myself that it's not a competition. As you said, she covers the greats which is wonderful!

@@erikcouvret Well, dont forget that Angelina sang this extremely hard song to sing, in just one take. No wonder she was a bit out of breath in the end. Usually when artists cover this, they do it in more than one take…..just saying.

I agree with you guys that this is not one of her very best, with her straining on the last couple of belts and having some pitch issues there. One reason why Whitney is featured a bit more towards the end of the song. But on the other hand I think Angelina is better on the softer passages and she is fine on the first belt. Amazing for a 13 year-old without benefit of multiple takes and studio wizardry. I heard the isolated vocals while putting together this mashup and yes, Angelina’s richly textured voice really shines compared to Whitney’s. Whitney is much better on the last belt, but I wonder how many takes? On her live performances I haven’t heard her fully belt out the end part.

What 's unfair it's to compare her to Amy..supposing that she is imitating.It's quite obvious that you don't know the young Lady.If she had preceeded you will say that Amy is etc.. - since her young age developed her own style..Her versatility is like no other..She can shape her voice to any genre. And,yes, from time to time you will say,that remember, him,or her, but each time she puts her own mark, each time she makes the song her own. I invite you to go deeper in the musical history of this young genius, unic in the history of music, for sure.

Seriously, Chris, YOU have done such a great service for the Humanity for doing all these. Angelina brings us so much joy and happiness everyday when we listen to her songs (covered or originals). I had listened to this song by Angelina for a few hundred times over the years and this is my first time the mashup and I'm still being blown away ! There are literally hundreds of reactors on Angelina Jordan Astar and you are one of the top three reactors on my list. I had the same thought running through my head as I listened to this yesterday. I haven't listened to Whitney's version in years. I always thought her original studio version was the best ever, but after watching this, I have to rethink that. To me, seeing this side by side, I too much prefer Angelina's version over Whitney. By the way, my Dad used to always say, "I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken." haha

Wonderful Chris. This clip is well thought and constructed. Angelina's star shines brighter than the words that some people(and reactors)said about her performance. So evident in here for anyone to hear that the majestic voice of Angelina, her phrasing and her ability to inhabit the song, surpasses in places the great Whitney Houston. Amazing!!

I am a bit of a purist. There are certain performers you just don't copy, change their music in anyway. Whitney Houston is one of those people. Angelina is absolutely incredible! She just did a Whitney Houston song and it was just amazing. Angelina, this world will do its worst. Stay who you are! Amazing!

Thank you Chris. This was superb. I’ll be watching it many times a day for a long time. It features many of my favorite Angelina moments: The jubilation and tears of joy displayed by her family (up close so you can really see them) when she won NGT and received the Golden Buzzer on AGT, Angelina and Mery consoling each other pre-surgery, and the joyous moment in LA when Angelina, laughing all the while, runs to her grandmother and kisses her on the cheek and hand. And, at the very end, one of Angelina’s most beautiful and confident smiles. All of these in succession brought on a flood of tears. The drama in the Hollywood Whitney movie pales when compared to the real-life events which you so skillfully display in Angelina’s journey. Truly a masterpiece, Chris. You have my gratitude and respect.
