Glad to have found this channel, hope you stick with it and it grows. Please always show close ups of the armies. Most of us get a lot of inspiration from watching battle reports and seeing your minis is awesome. Shorter battle reports are nice too, great format.
Really enjoyed the batt reps guys good work. I think showing the dice rolls is abit un needed as you do a good job of announcing the results anyway. And i really like how you're doing the commentary and explaining your actions, batt reps virtually never do that and its a great edge over everyone elses.
Thank you! We'll continue to experiment with the dice- we like the drama of being able to see it before we comment on it; as it can be sometimes funny or sometimes heartbreaking!
This one is the best so far but none have been bad. Loving the music! Keep the banter going during the game and I love turn recap/strategies love getting that insight.
The stab damage happens after the fight has been resolved. That would be after making strikes. So Gully would have had to declare the bpa prior to the dwarves killing themselves. Doesn't matter here, but something to watch in the future. Maybe don't fast roll the stab damage when up against monsters. Great bat rep guys.
Was thinking of starting Angmar and was wondering what miniature I would use for Gulavhar and now I know, thanks for the great Batrep. Just wondering what scale did you purchase it, 28mm or 32mm?
They did, we just figured it would really bloat things to show every courage check so we mostly just showed the ones that mattered against Gulie. If you see a dwarf standing around at the end of a move phase though, that's why! Only failed a few total, I got pretty lucky. But we're open to feedback and always wondering what we should skip and what we should show. We lean towards making these somewhat lean, but again, open to what you all want to see. Thanks!
I really enjoy your battle reports, keep up with the good work :) Just one point: I always get confused when the stills between the turns show pictures from earlier or later in the game. I think it would be great if they show the current situation on the board, so they fit the recap voice over from you guys
They're meant to, I just sometimes get mixed up when editing or we don't actually have stills from that turn and I hope to sneak it past you all haha. We'll do better about getting stills for EVERY turn so there's no confusion.
