Wherever i am, this classic 80's song teleports me back to Scott & Charlene's wedding in 1987. ❤ WOW! i was 13, now im 50!

This has got to be one of the most underrated and underappreciated records of all time - such a great song, Angry Anderson's vocals are sublime - an alround awesome work of 80's art X

If you were young in the 80s this song brings back such a flood of emotions. The iconic wedding of Scott and Charlene, but also all the hope, dreams and nervous excitement we had for our own futures. Beautiful that this song can bring that all back and still remain so timeless.

Hard to believe this song is 34 years old. Yet it is still just as perfect as always in the modern day. This is how to write a timeless masterpiece.

This song makes me want to sit on a chair beside Sydney Harbour, drink a slab of beer as i stare out to the water. Starting at 10am and finishing at 7pm. Just staring at the water. Trying to make sense of this modern world full of iphone zombies, hipsters and cut throat competition. At the end of the day, the only thing we should be aiming for is a "loving heart and an open mind" ....... That's what the 80s were all about. Fuck this! Back to the 80s even if society doesnt agree!

I’ve loved this song since Scott & Charlene got married on Neighbours in 1987. The musical arrangement is seriously outdone - both at the time of release and forevermore - by Angry’s vocalisation on this particular song. Fuck if Angry is beyond perfect…his singing on this track is sublime.

That was the late 80's all over. It represented such optimism and dreams if you were a child at that time and we all believed in them. The music was a form of romantic magic that will never be repeated. We were a lucky youth to have lived through it

I was always into the Acid music scene, but this was a fantastic song - First time I heard it, I told my friends who joked it being from neighbours....that went over my head - But saw it recently on BBC Top of the Pops 1988, still a great song !! Deserves more credit !!

An absolutely incredible song and as someone who is lamenting the loss of Neighbours from our screens this is especially poignant at this time.

A special song. My son was born to this tune just over 11 years ago. It was a planned C section and they let us take our MP3 player/speaker with selection of songs into the delivery area and this was the song playing when he was born!!

Love it! First year at High School, met the girl of my dreams, adored her for two years then in the Summer Break she suddenly disappeared! Found out she had moved too another school as her family moved, broke my little heart. Searched for years for her ringing numbers in the phone book just in case I rang the right one by a miracle, then two years ago she popped up on Facebook and we are now friends, I am on my second marriage and she has a boyfriend, we are two completely different people, but the friendship means the world, always will, I am disabled now, she is a Gothic Cat Lady! I think I look the same except face fuzz, she is a, well, different. The connection is still there, it was never anything more than a peck on the cheek, but I found her. I guess the morale of the story is we all change from our early teens into completely different people! Grandparents hell even some (& it is a few) parents stick it out from teens till death. Our generation seem to change immeasurably, as I have proven with the one failed marriage (not my fault, I never wanted divorce but she had found love elsewhere) the second is going a lot better. Well thanks for reading, and Angrie Anderson, sorry for your loss. X (I always remember it being spelt that way at the radio stations database I sometimes used, that’s why we couldn’t find it, we were spelling it Angry and it wasn’t coming up until I suggested trying the “ie” instead of “y” and we got straight too it! I was going through Kylie's Glastonbury 2019 set list and I couldn't remember where I'd heard this song before or why she chose it. Now it all makes sense. Oh, the memories.

I have not heard this song for 34 years!!! Never on the radio, never re-made or sampled. I was almost starting to think that I imagined it!!!! Its funny how the song together with the images of scotts and charlenes wedding somehow burned themselves into my impressionable young mind such that I have been singing the song now and again for decades even though I only heard it a handful of times. Still a great song.

I sat at a pub with Angry in Hornsby one night watching a mutuals friends band and said to him that it must be strange to think that after all the years of being the bad boy of Aussie rock n roll his biggest hit was a ballad that was used on Neighbors. He just looked at me LOL. I said that's pretty cool every muso wants to have that one really big song.And then suddenly he had a chug of his beer and smiled. True story.
