ROVIO comes back strong after bringing back Angry Birds, the classic everyone enjoys! But I had the original before it was took down, so who’s the superior game?
There are alot of levels missing in the new version hopefully rovio eventually re adds these to the game but I'm very happy to finally play angry birds again without any annoying ads in your face every 30 seconds. The game feels like how it was when I was a kid which I'm most grateful for
I'm just gonna go out and say this: I'm so happy the classic Angry Birds game is back! No Mighty League, no gems, no power-ups, just old classic Angry Birds. I especially really love how they even used the Pre-Chrome sprites and included the unused bird sounds (one of which you can usually hear in plushies) whenever you're close to popping a pig. Overall, I absolutely love this remake, it feels *just* like it used to when I was a kid, it's so nostalgic and so good! I hope to see more Rovio Classics in the future, but at least this is the best thing to play to pass the time. I give this game three out of three stars! ⭐⭐⭐

I can't believe they put the soul back in Angry Birds, I haven't played Angry Birds since like.. I don't know but it's been a very long time. Just glad I can experience probably the best version of what I missed.
Same! From memory, the last time I played it would've been four or five years ago, so sometime not long before it was removed from the app and play store.
4:54 I like the cheering sounds, they make birds crashing into buildings more exciting, these are also the same sounds from ads and old toys with bad speakers so it's good that rovio archives their stuff 5:21 they even have a disappointed voice sound? that's amazing detail
Yeah its worth it to buy because even the mighty eagle is free yet you need to wait 1 hour before you can use it again but anyway im glad they go back to 2012 vibes of this Orig Angry Birds
Yea I agree I would much rather want to pay 1 dollar for a mobile game that has no ads or in app purchases then to get the app for free with ads and in app purchases
Sad to see what the old version had turned into, I did not know about it since I stopped playing a long time ago. But ever since the classic version was announced, I knew I had to get it right away. It was totally worth it just for nostalgia alone

This brings back memories from 2011-2012 I hope they bring back the missing levels, readd the season levels and maybe even add new levels (unlikely but I would love it if they did)
I gotta admit, I love the fact that you pay so little to have all the stuff that needed to be bought or whatever. Hoping that they will bring back more of the levels, but other then that it is truely amazing
On the one hand, no ads, the new cheering sounds, and a cheaper mighty eagle is amazing. On the other hand, the tutorial world where you unlock bubbles early is gone, along with short fuse, red's mighty feathers, flock favorites, bird island, piggy farm, jurassic pork, the bad piggies world, and a lot of birdday party levels.
I’m glad we got this version of angry birds back, but it isn’t perfect, there are a few things that need to be addressed: 1. The most obvious thing to note is that there are less episodes than before considering that this is the based off the 2012 version of the game so that is a bummer but it is a good trade off for no ads popping up everywhere and every time. 2. There are definitely some instances where the bird sounds are either pitched lower or higher hopefully that can get fixed 3. Because the game’s physics had to be recreated on a new engine some levels are kinda harder than before considering that those stages were designed around the physics of the original engine. 4. The game is a bit glitchy but I’m sure that’ll get fixed in an update.
I love the subtitles, you’re hilarious but anyway I think its a great game but it definitely needs bug fixing for the audio. I like how they brought back the old designs but I do find it weird how they have the old models mixed with the new in the cutscenes. Really wish we had the old cutscenes.
I love that they have all the older levels and even some of the ones added in the updates in the remake. Although It's sad that they're probably not going to add back mighty feathers or short fuse, I'm excited for more rovio classics like seasons or space.
One thing if anyone has the old version, if you watch an ad and then you have to wait for another, just move your clock up by 24 hours. After you’ve done it for every level, set it to automatic!
I bought this instantly and I never buy Mobile Games, something about the older simple mobile games really attracts me and I wish more older games got remastered. And if you're debating on getting this when you have the Discontinued AB, buy this cus £0.89 for all of this is a bargain with no ads and iap :)
i feel like you'd love JellyCar worlds, a sequel to an old mobile game. its a game that's still in development but it'll be on mobile. no ads, no in app purchases just good old fun with a squishy car.
It lets me use the Mighty Eagle whenever I want I don't have to wait an hour. I guess that's a bug but I'm not complaining lol Also I wish it used the old victory theme
You can't imagine how much I regret not downloading the last version of the OG angry birds game. There seems to have been so many cool new chapters and events...
the only things i miss are the "red's mighty feathers" and "short fuse" level packs sure, they were kinda connected to power-ups but they could remove the whole bonus-bird thing so its basically birds eggspecially and only for these level-packs now, guess where did i put my pun. (btw if they bring out new level-packs, but they feel just like normal angry birds, would you like that?)
I'm glad to finally see something that reminds me of the old days of mobile games. Very few games manage to do this anymore and this feels much better. Yes, it's basic, but I want to see more of this. The last few versions of the original game were just awful.
I like the newer one aka the one that is 0.99 cents but I do miss the short fuse Bomb and mighty feathers red levels. I wish I can have the other pigs design + the old pig design in the same level or have a setting to pig the newer pigs or something. Overall, I hope there’s more stuff coming to the new one. Also I miss Angry birds epic

My favorite golden egg is the one at the bottom of the credits because back when angry birds was still popular my dads friend had it on his phone and let us play it and it was the first golden egg I found on my own, my brother usually helped me with the other ones
If I could change one thing about this, I’d make the pig sprites the updated ones. Not that the old ones are bad, just that the updated ones are nostalgic to when I started playing angry birds. (When the updated models existed)
It's a really good idea from Rovio to us, the 2012's players. We now are older and that means that we can use 1 dollar to bring back those beatiful memories from one of the best Android games ever.
Probably the best spent money in a long time. It has the good old vibes, no ads and you get the fricking Mighty Eagle! Also it's purely skill based as there are no powerups. Just the way I remember it from the first time I played it in 2013. Just for 2 days I completed 3 chapters with all the stars and feathers. It's pretty awesome
You know, I'm actually curious on this but is the golden football still in the game? I remember that was somewhat of a golden egg found in the western world to promote angry birds Rio (I think that's why they add it) but I haven't played the new angry birds yet so idk.
I'm pretty sure there was a version released to the DS and that was my first introduction into the Angry Birds saga. I really loved that game but sadly I lost the copy I had of it and I don't have my DS anymore. I would really love to get the new one on the appstore soon though to relive the memory of getting mad as a kid if even one pig was still up because of the silly little taunt they did at the end of the round. Really loved the game.
Rovio should make remakes of every single classic Angry Birds game i.e. Space, Rio, Star wars, and then release it on consoles as an entire saga collection
Same, I was able to get AG Star Wars 2 and AG Epic by my “previously purchased” tab, those games were my childhood. Good video, funny too. Caught that “Now’s your chance to be a” in the ad ;)
I remember the visual transition (not even an animation) and jingle for "Level Cleared" older than the ones they used in this classic version (this one was introduced when they released Angry Birds Rio). If they ever brought the older version back, that'd be true nostalgia for me. But this I can accept, I absolutely crave the old texture of the main menu.

I love the newer one! When you played the original app all it did was remind me how soulless and crappy it had become with ads and in-app purchases. This is the best thing that has happened to Angry Birds since like 2015.
one thing i noticed immidiately with this was that the physics of the tnt is annoyingly weird, it's most noticeable with the one golden egg level from the one area with that night city theme but the tnt just doesn't work the way they used to and because of that it makes certain levels built around them really awkward
Man it's been so long since I've played the OG Angry Birds. Kudos for Rovio for listening on to bring these back. Sometimes, you just can't go wrong with the classics.
It feels weird that Birdday Party and Surf & Turf made it back even though those still feel new just like all the other ones after it. Also I never knew about the old cheering sounds, so that's neat.
You know, I've played the first game when it was released, played Seasons before the episodes got separeted by years, played Rio before and after its rework, played Go before the worst update ever, played AB2 before Mount Evernest update, played the cancelled Stella game and both Star wars games and Fight! But I swear, I wasn't aware of GEMS in the latest updates of Classic.
If they bring back Red's Mighty Feathers, i hope they add one last chapter on it, because this episode was left unfinished and they focused work on the next episodes. Red's Mighty Feathers is my favorite one, of course it's a big disappointment for me.
I love all the episodes before it was taken down especially the Short Fuse and Red's Mighty Feathers episodes because I love that they dedicated them to Red and Bomb respectively and if we were to get a new one dedicated to a Flock member, dedicate it to Chuck. You know? The cool looking yellow bird who always spots the pigs taking the eggs!
I'm very glad that angry birds are back and this is literally a version from 2012 only the game has been optimized for newer devices I hope Rovio will consider returning old games back to the store
I miss the angry bird space and Star Wars games, I remember playing the Star Wars version on a family members phone for hours when I was 4-6, it was truly a gem in my childhood
I’m with you, I miss Red’s Mighty Feathers too that pack was a banger among the loads of unnecessary shit they added. but the one they brought back feels like i’m 9 again playing it on my iPod Touch. also 0:40 thank god they went back to Bomb’s old flight noise cuz what was that? I do miss the Chrome sprites, too. also, don’t forget the hidden golden egg after the third level pack in Danger Above.
I also have the original version and i was kinda confused on why you where so surprised by the birds cheering and the pig sound when eleminated or losing a level in the New version because they all play in my version, not sure why they didn't in your gameplay on the original game Same for the sound effects
i prefer the new classic angry birds, i think the old one feels way too old, low quality audio, i like it but i think it feels better to play in the new one, just feels new and satisfying.
Things i noticed while playing the game, you cant zoom in (like in the video) and most of the sound effects are low pitched, and the “unused” sound effects are in fact used in this one
The golden era. Back before microtransactions all but took over mobile gaming (at least MTX are pretty much exclusive to games that are free to download, and it’s not like AAA console games nowadays (like your EAs and Ubisofts)).
Sure they changed a couple things, but overall we can all agree that they did indeed bring back 2012. and they even added cool things like daily challenges!
