A British man has decided to pack up his life in the UK and take a job at Paulatuk, a remote Inuit village deep in Northern Canada. He has to get there though and the only way is a one-way flight across the freezing tundras. This flight is fraught with danger and a increasingly irate passenger means that the pilots have to be their most skilled to pull this one off.

Buffalo Airways is an airline based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. They mainly fly WWII-era piston powered propeller planes in minus 40 degrees and land on tiny strips of tarmac in the tundra.

I knew about Arnie but not about Kelly! That's so sad! She seemed like such a sweet heart! Arnie was a breed that you don't see anymore. He probably had forgotten more about flying those birds then most of those guys even know combined!! Other then Joe of course. LoL. I am glad that we got to know them even just a little bit through this show.

@@adventureairinc7355 I remember now watching a few episodes when she was going to the doctor and they were looking at her lungs! I completely forgot about that. The 215's would be a blast to try on! It's impressive the size of them, but they can whip around the hills like it's nothing!

this show is literally the most riveting. i saw ice road truckers which was awesome but the tension and excitement on this show is just on another level.

As a Brit, I think the attitude of the "angry Brit" is bloody stupid. Better late in this life than early in the next - and he would be the first to complain if a reckless pilot took him up and hit nasty weather.

I think he was annoyed because he booked the flight a few days earlier and the fat pizza kid screwed the booking up, delaying his journey by a few days. Then the storm hit, further delaying things, when he could have actually been there a few days earlier, had the fat kid not sent two pilots elsewhere. The step-in pilot guy was super professional though and in no way to blame. The British guy was obviously a bit of a douche, but I can see why he was annoyed. They had one charter that whole month, for him, and it was half botched due to pizza boy.

What perfect bliss - one man and his dog - a beautiful breed of dog at that - a German Shepperd through and though, which reminded me of mine so many years ago. The bonding between us was a lesson in motion to behold But, I digress, because he is doing something I'd like very much to do. I.e. Live off the grid - off the beaten track, but with a small, local community not too far away, in the wilds: with just my dog and a few books, my computer, an Internet connection and, a TV? But not too much else! And, I'd certainly not be averse to chopping up logs for firewood either. It's great exercise And, my garden(s) would be the countryside - nature in all its seasonal glories and as far as the eye could see!

Going remote and off the grid you may have to forego the computer, the internet connection and the TV. The dog and the books may be okay though.

Each time I see this episode, I notice that the aircraft animation (17:23) features a propeller with incorrect pitch for the engine's direction of rotation. Take a look at engine 2.

I enjoy Wonder's videos, but all of them tend to get top-heavy with Ad's. Past the 50% mark the Ad's seem to hit about every 30 to 40 seconds - that gets old and irritating rather quickly . . .

Why could Buffalo Air not have hired an Antonov 124 freighter to ship the water bombers to Turkey? Depending on the dimensions involved, the water bombers could have fit intact inside that huge cargo hold; at worst, a little disassembly would have occurred followed by reassembly upon arrival in Turkey.

@8:17 the narrator mentions a delivery fee, and at the time with the financial situation I would guess that’s why they didn’t go a different route. I don’t know the cost it would be to have hired a freighter. Just a guess.

Been to vegas numerous times. Never considered sins. They have many churches lake meade hoover dam lovely clubs. I dont gamble. Theres plenty of good restaurants.have fun.
