You are the best Western streamer I've seen playing "Black Myth: Wukong." It's not just because of your gaming skills but also because you take the time to understand our Chinese culture and the ancient mythological story of "Journey to the West," which is over a thousand years old. Most Western game streamers merely compare it to "God of War" or think it's Japanese culture, or even say it copies "Dragon Ball," which is ridiculous. But you're different; you're willing to learn about Chinese culture. Thank you for that. Regarding this chapter, the opening music comes from the Chinese Shaanbei storytelling tradition, which also has a history of over a thousand years. Interestingly, if you look at the map of Shaanxi Province in China, you'll find it quite similar to the map of UK. The singer's accent belongs to a northern dialect in China, while the English voiceover in the game uses a Scottish accent, which corresponds to a northern British accent. This is an Easter egg created by the developers.
Oh I appreciate this so much, thank you for the kind words! I do wish I knew more about the Journey to the West story but I'm so excited to be learning about it through the game + the lore in the journals and also thanks to the nice folks in this community that have been sharing more details that I may not know. Thank you so very much for watching! Excited to learn more :D
@@lunitygaming It's our honor as Chinese people that you enjoy this story. Regarding Sun Wukong, I would like to share some more interesting details with you. In the original novel, Journey to the West, Sun Wukong is portrayed as a rebellious character who is ultimately subdued by the Buddha. He then assists Tang Sanzang (the reincarnation of Jinchanzi, a disciple of the Buddha) on his journey to the West to retrieve the sacred scriptures. However, the original intention behind creating this story was actually to satirize the society of the time. Traditional Chinese mythological views differ significantly from those of the West. In Chinese culture, there is a strong belief in "man can conquer nature" rather than worshipping or submitting to a deity of any religion. We have always believed that we can overcome anything, which is why Chinese culture has endured for over 5,000 years without interruption. From the game's title, Black Myth: Wukong, you can infer that the creators intend to craft a story entirely different from Journey to the West. In this game, the Buddha and celestial beings are not necessarily good, and the demonic characters are not necessarily evil. This is a hint for you, you might come to understand this perspective more deeply as you progress through the game.
You can use the big head baby guys head smash move he gives you from chapter one to break the wall with the Buddha heads on it where you fight that giant rat boss. Opens up a secret spot.
its so crazy , somepeople are totally opposite of other , the tiger took me 2 tries , but other bosses that people are doing easly took me like 30 tries lol
tiger is easy...he was hard first but u just gotta learn his stuff. thing to defeating him: he is lethal up close. u gotta keep ur distance and not be agressive. he only got 1 weakness. the jump. he got 2 versions. the slow jump, can be dodged and then counterattacked but not too long. hit a few times and back away fast. his short jump is safe, followed by combo. but it always ends with the slow jump at the end. so that is the weakness. his other attacks are terrifying. u gotta keep ur distance or u gonna have to deal with his weird combos or worse, his sword attacks. but dont keep too much distance. u gotta keep distance but not too far away. u gotta bait him to do the jumps lol when he jumps, thats ur opening depending on which jump it is. anyway, he is good lesson for the wind sage. who is even stronger.
The tiger used to be good and when you fighting him the first time he's like possessed I've heard..I'm getting into Chinese mythology also it's really cool😅
