This is an adaptation of a series of books by Louise Rennison... I loved this series as a teen. Georgia and her friends are very funny and relatable for a teenager. Some parts really have aged, though, as you can see in the movie. A lot of fatphobia and internalized misogyny

But let me add that even then, it was apparent in the book that Georgia is not an example to follow but some type of hilarious cautionary tale (that led to Georgia eventually growing)

Georgia was a mess but she was right to call out Jazz who was the worst in this movie. Accusing Georgia of lying and pretending to get a guy when she got her lil boyfriend from one of those schemes 🤨And she hated Georgia’s nose and totally blabbed to Lindsey about her party.
