Guns n Roses "Not in this Lifetime" Tour Song: "Whole Lotta Rosie" Location: Goffertpark, Nijmegen, Netherlands sorry for sound fuckup #gunsnroses #angusyoung #acdc
Slash's Snakepit was the opening act for AC/DC on the first half of the Stiff Upper Lip World Tour. Those guys all have immense respect for each other.
That's what I thought, twice! I was at both european shows with Angus. In Hannover 2017 when angus hit the stage it was one of the most surreal things ever in my life, cause why Hannover? I was like wtf?!?! 75000 ppl went nuts! And then the same thing happend here in Nijmegen. It was insane and even more surreal that this happend again! In 2016 i saw AxlDC twice GN'R with Angus 2017 2x (and 2018 2x) I got a lot of Angus & Axl in 16-17, Unbelieveble good times!
Thing about Angus and AC/DC and why their loved so much is their music , love of their fans , humble , and how hard they worked to get there . I can relate with them from way back in the 70s .
It’s a long way to the top of you wanna rock n roll. AC/DC earned it. I use that song as inspiration. So many people today seem to feel entitled to something for free. No man, get off off your ass and go earn it. Yeah they’re the real deal and that’s why we ❤️ them.
Right on. Angus was such a fukn joy to watch back in the day. Dude never ran out of energy - seemed like he just gained more as the show went on. Kudos to the rest of the band as well, but it was really hard to take your eyes off Angus when at one of those 70s, 80s, or 90s shows. I regret not being able to see Bon Scott live, but I saw the Back In Black tour, along with at least one concert of every album up to the Razors Edge lp, and never saw anything but the best they had to offer. They brought it all, everytime. Angus puts on an incredible performance, just a ball of energy. He really does steal the show, you're just so in awe of how in the hell he could do that, night after night, ya know? Kinda reminds me of watching Jake E. Lee when he played for Ozzy on the Bark At The Moon tour, a song that he also wrote. Now, that man was the epitome of showmanship in performance when it comes to lead guitar players. Check out the live video of him doing Mr. Crowley - it was that kind of showmanship and performance that made Sharon green with envy, and was why she eventually ousted him. Poor Ozzy just wasn't getting enough attention. Don't get me wrong - I love the Ozzster... But once you've heard him say "I love you all!!!" a couple times, that was about the extent of what you would see the rest of the night. Jake, on the other hand, had such great technique and so many tricks up his sleeve, you hated to take your eyes off him for fear of what you might miss in a split second. He was my favorite guitarist out of all the recruits Ozzy ran through over the years, just for sheer technique and that magnetic personality. Rarely did you ever see him without that EVH style of a smile across his face. And don't be hatin on me cause I didn't pick Randy - love him too, and Zakk. Everyone has their opinions, favorites, etc.... Jake was mine in that trio. Doesn't necessarily mean I think he's the best, at all. I just loved his style, and the positive vibe and energy he brought to the show. Wish I could've seen him more than the one time I did on that tour, whether it was with Ozzy, Badlands, or whoever.
10000%, been listening to AC/DC from the first days I can remember and the Rhythm was always on point. Even when they did their own off script freestyle Malcom would pick up the cue and as a listener you couldn’t tell that it wasn’t rehearsed. Must be difficult for Angus to not have that.. to not has his brother having his back any more. RIP Malcom.. a true driving force behind one of the most iconic bands in history !!
Mitch Farkas wait another 10 years or so when he sits down and starts playing without jumping,he is going to be rocket !! like old blues players! i just hope he will get good singers or just do instrumentals that i prefer.
Angus can't help doing that leg thing. It's amazing he can do the for an entire concert. I remember seeing the Fly on the Wall concert as a teenager and being amazed that he never stopped moving the whole show.
In Hannover ppl went really nuts, so much energy after the heavy storm, 90min break etc!! Ppl were hungry after this and then comes Angus. Holy shit! I was at both shows and Hannover was way more crazy! But it was really nice to see those guys jamming in sunlight unlike the stormy other day. It was both great for their own reasons. Really great times!
@Jacob Molyneux you have a longer break at Christmas we finish for Christmas break a few days before Christmas have 2 weeks of then start at the start of January and then end of school year is end of July have 6 weeks of then start September in new year or grade however you have it
When Slash agrees to play backup it means you are in the presence of rock ROYALTY ! That's respect and that's coolness on the part of Slash, who is also rock ROYALTY!
Angus is the man ! with or without his school boy uniform period . I think Slash is one of the great hero's as well and give Angus the respect he deserves .
It's funny, you take Angus out of his schoolboy outfit and he just looks like a dad that wandered up on stage and found a guitar and started shredding lmao
LoL,.....Yes and think about all their music and this makes perfect sense.....They are blue collar, no frills, no fluff rock n roll personified....So Angus' music is a reflection of himself.
On Hayman Island in the Whitsundays. Angus was on holiday with his wife. It was meant to be a guitar free holiday, so Angus said, but his wife is very lovely and doesn't mind sharing him. He showed us a new song he was working on. He only had the intro written at the time and it turned out to be Thunderstruck. True story.
Toucan 12 Don't know what you are talking about. Slash jumps on stage with anybody. Even nobodies at bars and such. He's a carefreeguy with little ego and truly just enjoys life.
Never thought I would see the day Two of the most famous guitar players Angus Young from ac/dc and Slash from guns n roses would be playing on the same stage together. What a performance from a couple of 🎸 legends.
elbronco80 a good amp that has string definition makes you do that. Same for Brian Setzer. A lot of metal guys sound great but they are sloppy, the heavy saturation in their sound hides the slop.
GB AS if you have to ask what I'm talking about, you don't understand. Play the same thing through a dimed 1960's JTM 45 vs a Peavey 5150 and you'll understand "string definition".
Don't forget Beck, Page, Clapton, Richards, Townsend, Santana, Blackmon, Perry, Gibbons, Hammett, Vai, Satriani and Lifeson. What a jam that would be !!
I love the original AC/DC lineup, nobody beats it. But it was a privilege to hear Axl’s voice rocking with the guys on tour a few years ago. A collaboration I never though I’d see. Epic!
I really enjoyed this tour, too. I‘m just a little angry about their price politics - although concerts were not sold out and concert was already running for about an hour, they refused to give discount on the ticketprices! Even those blackmarket sellers didn’t lower their prices, which was absolutely not understandable.
Finn Walker thre defo isn’t 50 better than him tho come on, or okay maybe there is in terms of speed n shit but slash has came up with some biblical riffs
@@edits0257 I personally think that slash isnt very good but you might think that he is a legend. Im fine with that and you should know that everyone has their own taste in music.
He is a tiny little guy, I had the pleasure of meeting backstage many years ago, they gave black underwear out to the girls!Dynomite comes in small packages for sure!
Excellent!! Both Angus and GnR.... .. To those comparing.... You're missing the point. They want to play together as they perfectly respect and complement each other! They ALL rock!
Yeah the sound was pretty bad that day. Biffy Clyro played before Guns n Roses and you couldn't hear him singing and the guitar was just one big trash sound across the field. With Guns n Roses it was somewhat better but half of the time I had trouble hearing Axl
@@trippy2johno280 What? :D He's been wearing that uniform for decades without feeling like a 'total twat'. It's a part of Angus and his live performances
@@PETERODZZ Wow dude getting old is a part of Life. One day it will happen to you and you can look back on your youth and realize what an Ass you were. lol
Saw him with his “other” band mates in 1979, St. John’s Arena, Columbus, Ohio. 8th row. My ears rang for a week after the show. Lost Bon less than a year later. God bless AC/DC!
Angus Young lives in a village very near Nijmegen, after he finished the gig he went straight home to water his plants before the sun got down (month of july, sun goes down here in the Netherlands around 22.00) Before going to sleep...he said to his wife....can you please massage my feet...they are killing me.
Nice to hear all this dead and wrong notes so good and at the same time knowing that the sound outside is what we all need. Hanx for upload and greetings to Nijmegen from lower saxony, Germany. Really a great festival since years!
@@dueyev they have the most viewed rock video in history, one of the most iconic guitar solo and one of the most iconic guitarist and singer. Of course they are in their category, Guns N' Roses are one of the forces to be reckoned with in rock.
The most iconic guitar player? Again slash is a legend but he is no Angus Young! The mist iconic singer? Wow how biased are you really? The most viewd video in Rick history?? Bahahahahaha great argument. Again GNR ARE LEGENDS but they AREN'T on AC/DC'S level
@@dueyev It's your opinion, and I understand. But it's not right that you want to discredit the success of others because you clearly like AC/DC more. Just FYI, I've asked people if they recognize slash and they do it perfectly, even without knowing any guns songs. To me, that's being iconic.
@@marinadiamondz When GNR consistently sells out Stadiums such as AC/DC and not small stadium venues for about 35 years I may bow down but that will never happened and never will . AC/DC owns GNR
THIS sg is not his #1, he only uses THAT sg for AC/DC. The one he played here is probably just one of the many in his collection and not worth nearly as much as his #1, or #2, or even #3...
@@livewire2759 Well...imagine you'd be able to get THIS particular sg he plays here. You could sell it for an enormous price just because he played it. Luckily I know where he lives. Not far from my hometown. Maybe I can get him to sign my LP Studio one day. Than that 'll be valuable too.
Angus Is The One Without The Bullshit...........Legendary Little F...k..r.......I Love Him To Pieces....Not Wot You Do ....But The Way You Do It...And He Does It Big Style.
