Again just a theory nothing fact based
Maybe he's not Ace biological father, but his affection and love to his "sons" cannot be measure. His rage show it to us. I'm so thankful that Whitebeard look for his sons first and every parent will say "no parents wants to see their children die before them". And I remember in previous episode when Oden wants to join in Whitebeard to travel the world. He said "I won't let a dangerous man get near to my family just like that". He really care. I wish they didn't die :(
i love the fear you see in akainu's face, when he realizes whitebeard is behind him, he might have a massive ego, but even he knows he can't fight whitebeard one on one
he kinda violated whitebeard, whitebeard lost 1/3 of his face to akainu and got a giant open hole in his chest, while akainu left the fight with minor injuries. any admiral, yonko and mihawk would beat old wb.

Let alone he was also dealing with being sick and not using any form of haki at all, yeah he was given those injuries but he still pressed on. If anything, this arc showed us exactly why garp called him the king of the sea.
@@edgarrodriguez2764 bro, didnt you read the arc? he was using haki, but it doesnt help him when he was outclassed by every single admiral, kizaru was straight up bullying whitebeard, whitebeard could'nt even hit him, he tried to use arnament haki against aokiji, but aokiji reformed his body just like katakuri did and later jozu saved whitebeard from aokiji, and i dont even know where to start with akainu, akainu blew off 1/3 of whitebeard's head and left a giant burning hole in whitebeard's chest, while akainu left the fight with minor injuries. the marines even said whitebeard was using haki, the only haki he didnt use was conqueres.
nope. Even if he was in his prime he would have lost. Because that's how the story was supposed to go. Oda created Ace for the sole purpose of killing him.
bro akainu should have serious scar on his left abdomen, that punch was so powerful. But yet he still alive due the plot armor, at least Oda must add huge scar for akainu
Plot armor saves you from any injury, but overall, it was good that akainu survived because luffy is the man that needs to kill him. This was more to prove that Akainu was not powerful enough to stop a nearly dead WB

It would be amazing if that last hit came back as a plot device later. Like Whitebeard had permanently scarred him. It makes sense when you think about it took him 10 days to beat Kuzan when his fruit should be more powerful (magma vs ice but magma is canonically the most power offense logia).
@@bastianeis9939 It absolutely isn't though. I notice this a LOT in the One Piece fandom. Everybody seems to overlook or not realize that magma vs cold is actually a _much_ more even matchup than you'd think and the reason is simple. Magma _will_ eventually cool down and become rock. We literally see Kuzan instantly freeze and solidify a lava flow in Film Z ffs.
So the reason the Magu Magu no Mi has the highest offensive power is not actually just because it's magma. It's because it turns the user into a Volcanic Eruption Man. The explosive force of volcanic eruptions, the poisonous gases, pyroclastic flow, etc.
@@natstar7864 Caesar didn't help Akainu out. Their duel was a 1v1 without any interference. They were so even in power, eventually Aokiji collapsed after they fought extremely for ten days straight.
This animation really captures akainu's dog like nature really well. He's getting (rightfully) the shit kicked out of him but he keeps getting back up and jumping at whitebeard, like a hound fighting a bear or something.
Before anyone calls it plot armor... Akainu is a very strong marine, a logia besides, and one of the admirals. The fact he was JUST this badly hurt means more about how damaged Whitebeard was, not how strong his plot armor is.

To watch something and cheer for the Pirates (which are the villains in the real world setting) and despise the Government; that's some amazing twist I would probably have in my lifetime.
It’s surreal. As well as experiencing sadness and heartbreak watching the death of the son of the pirate king, while hating and wishing the death of a marine admiral, the so called “hero” for the everyday citizen.
funny - the fight between Aokiji and Akainu lasted for about 10 days. The Fight between Whitebeard and Akainu about 2 minutes and he was heavily injured as well

Just wondering. In a weakened state the whitebeard was this strong. Then Roger & garp at prime especially when they're mad . they would have been pure monsters lol.

He's actually incorporating his devil fruit and conquers haki into those specific punches and actions. Which is why there are moments he can grab air and looks like his punches aren't touching Akainu. This further gets explained in the Wano Arc.
Suuuure he survives and after that he casually fights Kuzan for 8 days and simply “forgets“ that he has this wound and should be immobilized for god knows how long and sooooomehow he still wins. Jeez Oda, calm down with the plot armor
Lol. They didn't fight immediately after the war. The marines were busy for 3 months after the war to capture the escaped impel down prisoners and capture the remnants of Whitebeard pirates and those who participated in the war. Remember after the war how Akainu went to New World to capture the Blackbeard pirates after negotiating with the government for a ship in exchange of Bonney. Even Blackbeard at that time doesn't want to messed with Akainu.

@@uwin23 black Beard would get his ass handed to him at that time, be was a commander level with yami Yami no mi and the gura gura no mi gave an insane upgrade but he just got it and wasn't very proficient at using it, Akainu exceeded him at everything at that time.
I would love to see this fight reanimated with haki effects . I think whitebeard’s haki is very much weakened at this fight along with his conqueror haki. I want to the mark left on Akainu’s body after that last attack .

can we say that Luffy is now stronger than Akainu? Or he needs to have gotten a power-up, which is unlikely in my opinion because this is his peak potential and he get injured fighting aokiji
