That’s an absurdly ridiculous wait time, and I’m sorry that’s been your experience. It’s maddening that so many customers have shared your experience rather than mine.

@@JonathanFedee one worry I have is that they'll just send it without double-checking measurements. And I'll get it but it's too small or big. Your body can change a lot in 4 years

@@fillerbunnyninjashark271 yeah they did, so I got my suit in May 2022 so took two years to get my order. So all in all with Covid and considering Aniki had to shut down a few times I’m happy. But I highly recommend if you are going to order do it through their Etsy. That way you have a back up and time line to get everything. I only did his direct shop as he does split payments. I did 30% in the beginning and the rest once the suit was ready to ship.

I think it’s a great idea to go through their Etsy store for more peace of mind, and ready made is even better if it reduces the wait. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, happy to inform! Good luck with your purchase!

I feel bad those are still waiting for theirs to arrive, especially after Covid delaying the process with sourcing materials, subsequent delivery. Those helmets do look nice though, if not better than the one's made in New Zealand - which is where their original makers are from as Power Rangers was/is largely filmed in New Zealand

@@light-bearer-1 I’m glad I received them too. They do look amazing, but despite that, and because of all of the horror stories I’ve seen, I’d never do business with them again. Actually getting what you paid for from any business shouldn’t feel like winning the lottery.

I really can't say one way or the other what you should do. I've shared my positive experience with Aniki Cosplay, and I encourage you to seek out as many other positive and or negative experiences as you can that will help you make your decision. I wish I could point to any one specific thing you could do to guarantee you'd receive what you pay for, but I really can't. One observation I can make is that it seems to me like more recent purchasers, within the last year or so, have been or are on track to receive their orders. Full disclaimer, I could be completely wrong about that, there could be admittedly be a ton of individuals who have recently ordered and it's gone bad, but that just seems to me to be the trend. Research research research, and then decide how long you're willing to wait for your order, and then weigh the possibility of never receiving it and just being out what you paid for. An absurd thing to have to consider before making a large purchase, but that's honestly where we are.

I’m really sorry that’s been your experience. I’d regret having placed an order if I were you too. For whatever reason, full suits seem to be the be the most infrequently fulfilled order.

Like you, even having had a relatively positive experience, it would take reading an overwhelming amount of recent positive experiences about Aniki Cosplay for me to order from them again. In sharing my interaction with the company, maybe I'll be a part of those ship-righting experiences for others to find while doing their own research, but I still feel like I won the lottery compared to the horror stories I've read. I'm glad you had zero issues when ordering from them years ago too.

No offered discounts for their delays and shipping for all of my helmets together was $600. It sounds like they're willing to work with you on some sort discount and I sincerely hope you get what you paid for; 3+ years is an interminable wait.

You’re 100% correct, you shouldn’t have to chase a company and beg for an item for which you’ve already paid. Maybe email them again to suggest that you’d be willing to pay express shipping? Even if you have no intention of doing so, it might at least reestablish communication. Or, suggest you’re in interested in placing another order (maybe something they’ve recently posted to their Instagram page), but insist that you’d only feel comfortable doing so if your original order is finally fulfilled? I’m racking my brain trying to think of ways you could get thru to them.

It’s just the angle at which the Red Ranger’s helmet is placed on the end in the video, the quality is actually incredible. I get what you’re saying about the clasps though, they’re not for everyone. I’ve always found them to be charming, ever since the reveal of Tommy as the new White Ranger, when he slowly unsnaps each clasp on either side of his helmet before slowly, dramatically removing it. Iconic scene.

@@JonathanFedee That's good. What was your total cost if you don't mind including shipping? Sounds like your experience was overall positive. A year turn around isn't bad at all. With the horror stories of everyone else. Sounds like those who bought costumes are dealing with the biggest delays. I know you got them on sale, but still curious. Maybe one day I'll bite.

@@Cinderkin Like you, I’ve heard the biggest headaches come with costume orders. I paid $195 per helmet up front in full, and when they were ready to ship I was quoted $200 per box (each box containing 2 helmets) and $100 for a box containing only the Green Ranger helmet. So for me it was $1,365 for the 7 helmets themselves, and an additional $700 for shipping, in total, $2065.

I don’t disagree that it’s a huge risk and Aniki Cosplay has no one to blame but themselves for that perception. All I wanted to do was detail my experience with them as a consumer.

I hope they follow thru with their delivery. Stay after them with an email every other week to check on progress and good luck!

I recently read in the comments on their Facebook page that someone had luck contacting them through their Etsy page after not hearing back from them for some time, and they finally received a response that way. Might be worth a try? Sorry again man and good luck!

Unfortunately I think you'll find it extremely difficult if not impossible to pursue a refund. A countless number of other customers have tried and have been unsuccessful. I'm curious, has Aniki Cosplay ceased communication with you entirely?
