This feels like the complete version of the game and we’ve just been playing the demo all this time

I like how villagers are able to break into your house now-

They had me at Brewster, but they just kept going! I can’t believe how massive this update is!

Almost teared up when they revealed Villager's can invite you to their houses and vice-versa. That was my #1 missed feature from New Leaf. Thank you Nintendo :']

This update is so huge I don't know why I'm tearing up.

Everyone: “omg all of our old friends are back and we’ve been playing the demo this whole time!” Me: omg how is tortimer not dead-

This update single-handedly gave the game the personality it's been missing

this is an insane update literally so many improvements and new content i cant even process… wow

Everyone: “We want bulk crafting!” Nintendo: “Ok but what if we give you everything you’ve ever wanted apart from that?” Everyone: “Actually…. nice.”

As a kid who only grew up with the original animal crossing on the gamecube, them bringing back the Gyroids (sorry if I spelt that wrong) made me so happy

Tom Nook: “I knew you’d be back…they always come back”

When Kappn started singing I bursted into tears THE NOSTALGIA

They really went “lets add everything everyone was asking for since day 1 of release over a year after the game was made”

For those of you unable to detect subtlety, this is stated as being the last MAJOR update. There will still be "minor" updates here and there. Probably nothing too grand, but there you go. Cheers.

Props to the developpers, when I opened the video I expected only Brewster to be added and maybe one other thing but they really outdid themselves and all for an update that's completely free

Making actual food... EATING that food... Literally the thing I was dreaming about in ACNH, thank you!

I was so scared that Nintendo just wasn’t listening to their audience and what we wanted from this game, BUT THEYVE BEEN LISTENING ALL ALONG! Thank you so much Nintendo! I’m super excited to pick up my switch and play animal crossing every day

Its been 2 years...

that storage shed is everything, having to run back to my house or having to throw random items on the floor for accessibility contributed to so much of my burn out

Best part of this update: we finally can see Isabelle taking a break for work :)

I squeeled like a little girl seeing Tortimer. I geuinely thought he had died, made me feel like crying that he is still kicking!!

I did NOT expect this update to be this big! I thought we were just getting the Roost and some small stuff!!!

Best animal crossing update, hands down.

What we wanted was Brewster. What we got was a major update that fixes almost everything. Congratulations Nintendo.

I haven't played Animal Crossing in a good hot minute but this makes me want to come back and never leave. This is amazing.

This update is very impressive! I just wish the cafe was a stand alone building because that would have been fun to design around on you island.

I'm frankly amazed at how generous this update is, especially considering how much greed is evidenced by the Switch online update.

I'm so glad that there's gonna be a new shopping plaza and most of all a place to get paintings from Redd easier goodbye waiting for him to visit by boat!

This is one of the best free dlc updates Nintendo has ever done for any game. Just great stuff and it kept on going

This is everything an acnh player could ask for! So glad they're listening to the feedback and suggestions. This is going to be such a great update, can't wait!!!

Have given the game a lot of crap for feeling very bland and missing tons of content. After this, this gets me back into the game for a good while. Only disappointment is no clue if there's new NPC dialogue and no shop upgrades. Otherwise, this is what we need and can't wait for the 5th!

So i’m in my 20s and was just hospitalized with a stroke. This game got all of us thru covid, and this update is about to drop right when i need something to help me on (hopefully) my road to recovery. something to sink hundreds more hours too and try to forget about my worries again. It’s going to be hard learning to use my arm and leg again and not being able to make music for a while or potentially again but i do look forward to getting lost in this game again and forgetting about all that for a while. love you all. hope everyone makes their islands even greater with all this new content. Thank you Nintendo, you’re life savers.

I miss Tortimer Island minigames and the island fruits...and perfect fruit, this game would be perfect if it had those three things too included.

i love this update, but please give villagers more diverse personalities maybe even slightly mean ones like the older games it made it more fun

OHMYGOD this is so much better than I could ever imagine 😭 The fact that villagers can now visit your home made me squeal

finally we can use the kitchen items for actual cooking, im soo hyped rn i cant wait until november 5th, this is everything we could have ever wanted

It's almost perfect but we need more custom slots! 50 is not enough, paving alone takes up like 20 slots.

I was shocked by HOW MUCH things were changing. They actually listened to what we wanted, such as the Brewster and adding old characters back. Things we didn't even realised we needed, such as changing your house design. Time to get my switch out. :)

At first I was expecting Brewster and nothing much else, but its like a whole extra game added on! Plus, with the new DLC oh gosh its gonna be SO GOOD! :)

This was seriously such a cool update! I can't think of anything else besides some of the fruit we had from New Leaf and Nook's Shop upgrades returning. So excited for all of this! :D

I missing - the Club - minigames - Pete

When Kapp’n appeared on screen a wave of nostalgia just hit me. It brings me back to when I first got my AC 3dsXL and would always go to Tortimer island with my brother while listening to Kapp’n sing.

I’m not even an animal crossing fan but holy crap the energy in that direct presentation was insane. So many people crying and literally misspellings everywhere Bc you guys were just so happy. Glad Nintendo could do this Bc I heard the game was lacking new content for a while

This feels like a proper Animal Crossing game now. To everyone from New Leaf, City Folk, or even the original, welcome back!

I haven’t played this game in months, but I used to play it everyday with my school friends since the day it came out. We just did everything we could. I can’t believe I’m gonna have to call up my friend across the country in college and say “Dude. They updated it. BIG TIME.” Thanks for making Uni a lot better Nintendo :)

Cooking!? That is the ONE thing I wanted but didn’t ever expect them to implement. They have finally livened up the game

I'm so glad this update is huge, I honestly ran out of things to do and this feels like a years worth of content to explore. If Nintendo is listening, my dream is to have a "shared island" mode where multiple players can live on the same island. It would be so much fun to decorate and change things, knowing the other players will see it. Or coming back and finding some surprises that they have done.

Honestly? This is just what I needed to get back into the game

Not sure what I was more hyped for: gyroids returning or being able to shimmy in narrow spaces!

They waited and waited then literally put every single feature that all players wanted in one single massive update. They resurrected the game and I think it is much better than ever. I hope the developers will get less and less stubborn with quality of life changes in the future, like crafting multiple fish bait at once or not having to read a whole novel when Gulliver is on your island.

I just gotta say "wow". I have been absent from new horizons for a while after a combination of feeling it lacking compared to New Leaf and just having so many other games to play. But damn am I ready to jump back in, this update is exciting and borderline overwhelming. EXACTLY what it needed.
