It exists! There are exclusive amiibo cards for anch that you can use to get villagers. The villagers also will come with items you can buy on nook shopping in the promotional tab!

I'm sorry, but let's not congratulate them. This should have been the route in the first place. Nintendo caters HEAVILY to indie developers, and Sunblink choosing to go Apple exclusive was a really stupid move. I'm glad it's finally on Switch. It's about time, and it's where it should have been in the first place.

So fun fact: Hello Kitty Island Adventure did not exist as a game in 2006 when the episode “Make Love, Not Warcraft” was released. They named the game after a South Park bit.

Retsuko from Aggretsuko is in this?!?! well, they're both owned by Sanrio, so it makes sense. me, i kinda wish they'd incorporate Catnip from the old Furry-tale Theater cartoon as a background villager or easter egg at some point, her diva personality could fit really well into the cast imo. even though that bat-demon whose name escapes me is Hello Kitty's official Japanese nemesis.
