I'll admit: My take may sound strange, but very personal. Mitzi is a Ghost Type trainer. My folks had a cat named Mitzi. Looked exactly like the Mitzi from AC. He was around for as long as I could remember-He was the kind of cat where we'd joke that he'd never die, because he was so old, yet still chugging like no one's business. (Like. He was at least 15 years old. Maybe even older.) Well, his time did come, and the day after his passing, Mitzi moved into my Animal Crossing: Wild World file. Now my joke is that one of the family cats lives in spirit in my AC file. XD But if she's not a Ghost Type trainer, I could see her being a Normal type trainer-The kind that would trip people up by making them say-"Wait-That Normal type can use THAT move???" And have all her Pokemon use Expert Belts to max the power of super-Effective moves. XD
