Just yesterday i was thinking that Dot should have a song like Yakko and Wakko and i am blessed with this.

I kinda wish they had done it like original "Presidents" song from the 90s, where they actually covered each president from the beginning to (at the time) now and spent a little bit on each. I get not every First Lady did something super noteworthy, which is why they could have condensed those that didn't do a whole lot and spent a bit more on those that did. The way they did do makes every First Lady talked about in the second half seem like an afterthought.

I'm actually kinda upset that they turned the second half of the song into a joke instead of giving fun facts about the first ladies we actually knew something about and kinda glossing over the ones we don't know much about, but they skipped over alot of the first ladies that are actually interesting

Animaniacs has always been a great motivator for learning, at least in my opinion. The original was done before the internet was widely generally accessed, so I imagine kids with a number of the songs about space or the countries or whatever stuck in their heads and going off to the library to learn more.

We really need more material in education teaching about women's contributions to American society. Like how Hamilton's wife Elizabeth and her sisters Angelica and Margaret helped fund the building of national monuments and helped create America's first orphanage. They also aided war time widows.

so im actually not a huge fan of this song for a couple key points, while i tend to love the historical animaniacs song theres some really weird choices in this one. This song feels like a better comedic skit than the president song, with great visuals and more jokes than the prior but it sacrifices giving context to the relevance of the first ladies to include those jokes, another is the choice to randomly name the first ladies instead of going in chronological order, which makes the song alot less efficient as an actual educational tool and alot harder to remember. still a fun song but it kinda feels like it fumbled what could of been an absolutely incredible one
