Laniakea 2 is coming! You can see a small teaser: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SQgZNb_tLl0.html The second part is going to be much better. We will find out the main question of the first part: where is alien life? You can support me here: www.patreon.com/HoloArt
The scariest type of alien, to me, is one that is so advanced it is beyond our understanding. For example, if you want to build a road but there is an ant colony in the way, you do not stop construction. You don't try to explain the road to the ants, or politely ask them to move. They couldn't possibly understand. You just pave over their little world. In that example, we are the ants. Alien society could be all around us and we lack the senses or cognitive ability to perceive understand it. We could be like ants in an ant farm, with our dimensional travel artificially restricted so we can be observed. We would never know the difference.
@@PaulJokiel I have mulled over this very concept many times. Alien race: arrives with FTL drive, super advanced AI, telepathy, ect. Earthlings: Hey ya'll-come on down and see our...wheel 😏
@@PaulJokiel Larry Niven did a short story that touched on that... it was about a Rammer (ramscoop starship pilot) who had a catastrophic system breakdown only to get picked up by something that was to him like a person would be to an ant, then calmly deposited on an inhabited planet somehow without anyone detecting it.
wWw, simply, wow, why do I watch these in the vain hope any of this sort of anything won't be yet another fancy looking thing without a single novel thought? Colors and cliches.
I really liked the sense of scale in this, great visuals and imagination and I especially liked the idea of explorer having a dog, not seen that before but why not? Note, the portal the ship (nice design by the way) flew through must have been inspired by the game No Mans Sky. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this video wasn’t inspired by that game. If you like to explore and not just pew, pew your way around a space game I’d highly recommend it.
You my talented friend ,have a new subscriber and a fan, I'm not easy to entertain ,you have done well. Thank you and good fortune be yours. Advanced Knowledge Steven Scampone San Diego
@@a13william70 Hollywood has two objectives. First make as much money as possible. Being progressives they think the American People are all imbeciles, and so make movies made for the lowest common denominator, but adjust the denomination downward by a few zeroes. Second, being a pack of progressives beholden to Marxist ideology, and significant ownership by the Chinese Communist Party, they only make films that they think will spread their socialist religion. Which is why every Hollywood movie is like a lecture from a disdainful abusive public school teacher foisting communist talking points with impressive special effects, but dialog and plots made for the mentally retarded. They think that is, aught, could, should be the mainstream of entertainment. Instead we get another hollowed out film that uses established characters from existing franchises as tabula rasa masks absent any relationship to the original source material. Its propaganda, and expensive awful propaganda at that.
Sure, not entirely original but definitely not plagiarism. A new spin on old ideas. It almost impossible to come up with something totally and completely original. Look at Star Wars. Lucas got inspiration from Asimov’s foundation and other older material
@@josephmarrero6538 True..fair enough. Someone once told me that everyone plagiarizes from everyone to a certain degree. There are only so many notes in a scale and so many chords in music.
BUT HE DIDN'T WAKE THEM UP! HE DIDN'T GUESS AT THE NATURE OF THE CAPSULES! HOW MANY CENTURIES HAVE THEY WAITED FOR HIM AND HE HAS NO CLUE! WE NEED THE SECOND PART! PLEASE!
I looked like they advanced in capsule technology 3 times the one room had what looked like crude cryo pods and then a gold pod the rest were the gold then they changed to a silver one with a long stem on the top the closer to the obeliskhe got
Problem is, what would happen if he woke them up? Surely, there must be a reason for hibernation of the whole civilization. Wide spread degenerative illness maybe? Without knowing the problem and having the solution, waking up might be death sentence for them... Would you do that?
Champollion described it when he first walked through the ruins of Memphis: "‘It is the union of grace and majesty in the highest degree. We in Europe are only dwarfs. No nation, ancient or modern, has conceived the art of architecture on such a sublime, great and imposing style as the ancient Egyptians. They ordered everything to be done for people who are 100 feet high."
@@ashemgold Another plot twist: Or maybe the inhabitants are just very tiny, but they can build objects and capsules that and house millions and millions of its own.
Without viewing all other replies.... I woud like to see the time that man and dog understands each other well enough that you could put a space suit on a dog like that and they would be as calm about it as that pooch.
I’ve watched several sci-fi shorts in the past couple of days, and this is the first I’ve commented on. This is absolutely beautiful animation. It will live in my mind for a long time.
I definitely agree with you on the Blade Runner (2049) feel in both visuals and some of the background music. I was feeling that correlation about half way through the video.
I agree :( Usually because it's hobbyists or university students making this, with only 2 or even one person. They just don't have the 100s of people and the massive budget for rendering that places e.g pixar has. as well as the time taken to make a feature length as their fulltime jobs.
I could be wrong but that looked more like a 'world ship'. It carried the history of their civilization and probably left a clue to access it. They gave up too soon. OK, I'm a Sci-Fi fan and I absolutely loved it so I'm making my attempt to GET MORE!! This is outstanding work. Hats off to the ENTIRE crew.
I absolutely love this short story. It has an unbelievably epic feel to it. The scapes are phenomenal, as is the scale, and I love the ambiguity of the timeline. The musical score is reminiscent of Blade Runner, and it's atmospheric aloofness. Thank you, and congratulations to all involved in the making of it. Would love to see a follow up, but at the same time would love it to retain its enigmatic core.
The epic emptiness and majestic enormous structures are really amazing. It reminds me of the manga Blame!. The whole setting has a Lovecraftian feel to it, I really love it!
It's interesting to see so many inspirations through this short film, the monolith concept from 2001, some of the early structures looking like Chris Foss spaceships, the vaulted pyramid structures like in Blade Runner, the hint at a possible Matrix concept holding all the remaining beings, the floating objects like the aliens out of AI, the portal jumps like in Babylon 5, even the vastness of the megastructures making me think of the Krell from Forbidden Planet. So many ideas pulled together nicely for a stunning piece of work, I know I went back and watched it in full screen, so much better.
Stunning visuals and clearly the artists spent countless hours working. It's such a shame the voice work wasn't up to the same standards. Others may disagree but I found the voice unconvincing and it completely took me out of it.
Not just the voice, the story was a bit basic. No obstacle to overcome. More like looking out the window of your car as you travel. Too passive. The visuals were wonderful, but a very thin story, badly translated, won't be improved by better voice talent.
I liked the voiceover. It comes across as someone who has been alone, for a looong time. Finally finding something of significance and trying to record his thoughts and findings for posterity but having trouble because he’s so unused to speaking his thoughts out loud I’ve often wondered what it would be like, to wander through an ancient, dead civilization. Where I was the ONLY lifeform left.
"And yet my friend, we are here... All alone... All over again! ' Fantastic closing line and really evocative! Great presentation, superb visual design! Loved this! 👍
Great story Laniakea is a real Super Cluster Of Galaxies meaning ‘Infinite Heavens’ Or ‘Paradise’.UFO Lore pictures this place as the Home of the Gods. They are waiting for us!!! Wonderful Short👽🚀🤓!!!!!!!!
@@DimaTaran Ну, не один, не один... :) А продолжение... возможно, или... Нет понятно, что тут всё уже сказано, но... -Мир создан, интересный, красивый... Впечатляющий... -Может быть в нём еще что-то сможет произойти... :)
A sad but beautiful story, beautifully told and illustrated. It seems the "Vulcans" (as in: "Star Trek") have something to do with this - the monolith seems to bear "traditional Vulcan" script! Does it? If so... what does it say?
Beautifully imagined. Needs a professional voice over actor. And a more subtle score/sound design. Maybe this (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kgt-D3tFMaQ.html). That fits pretty sweetly. I started them both at zero, and only faded up your soundtrack for the words "They're everywhere". Then, whispered "An epitaph for an entire civilization." Spoken, "And yet my friend...WE are here." I'm just riffing.
My 2 problems with this were 1. How did he know where to go? He acted like he had a detailed map of exactly where to go each step,of the, way, and that kind of diminishes the sense of scale. 2. The voice was jarring. Other than that, sweet.
This was far too short but the graphics were stunning both the suit and the craft were complex in design it could be worth sending it to Elon musk he could do with some of your designs for future craft. Hopefully you have a great future in design. Regards Paul from London.
Not the best quality but for a one man project its amazing. Love the geometry of the planet. The story is ok. Obvs the aliens decided to give up on the real life existence and toke a big nap instead. But I kinda love that feeling of cosmic loneliness. Its like arraving at the party when everyone have already gone home.
The message that was sent out was a distress signal, so I don't think that they simply got addicted to VR. However, I am guessing that they are asleep in those pods. Maybe that were hit with an uncurbable plague and they went into stasis before they died in the hope that someone with better medical technology can revive them and cure them.
All those life-pods presumably occupied, perhaps waiting for a specific time to re-emerge after some threat is long gone. IDK. This reminds me of J. Michael Straczynski’s Babylon 5 series that aired after the first series ended where several worlds were found with all the inhabitants tucked away in stasis deep underground until the threat had finally dissipated. The architectural accomplishments of this race is quite beautiful. Gorgeous imaginative work by the artist of this video. I’d love to see the story of who they are and why they had built this stasis facility, assuming those are indeed stasis pods.
@@wordsofcheresie936 Have you ever watched the first pitch and pilotz of your favorite movies or shows? It's all about selling the imagination. This story has SO MUCH room to explore. Literally the entire galaxy as he searches for answers. We can get a prequel at the end of the series that tells and shows exactly what happened to his ancestors. You just need an IMMMMMMAGINATION I'd watch every episode just for the ship alone.
Это видео просто самый настоящий графический оргазм! Просто невероятно. Богата земля херсонская на талантов. Ждем продолжения, сюжетов и полного метра. Главное не экономить на сценаристах.
Beautifully done! Invokes a sense of wonder paired with a realization of just how small we humans are in a vast, impersonal universe. Would love to see a part two. Thankyou.
Imagine a civilization sending out a distress signal.Only for it to be received centuries too late. Also it is always nice to see C.G.I. being used for something other than a G rated cash grab. :)
Arthur C. Clarke wrote an amazing story about a civilization that built monuments before their star went nova so that other civilizations would know that they had existed. The humans find one of these monuments that records all that they had done. The astrophysicist on the ship realizes that the nova that destroyed the civilization would have been visible on earth in the year zero and that it had been recorded in the bible as the star of Bethlehem that announced Jesus' birth. I believe that the story was called, "The Star". Here is a link to the story. It is only four pages. sites.uni.edu/morgans/astro/course/TheStar.pdf
Very creative! Awesome ancient atmosphere. And special thanx for cosmo-dog!) Without dog all this would evoke emptiness, despair and longing. Продолжай творить и вдохновлять! ;)
What I like: The music The SFX Grandiose structures and architecture The Bladerunner-esque feeling What I dislike: The "telling" - you don't need to tell so much, just show. The animations on man walking I would love to see this reworked with more hands on deck to do this, because the feeling and the architecture is splendid.
The aliens have gone into a VR world and their physical bodies are in the pods. The big plot hole would be that the aliens would leave robots/AIs to watch the pods and prevent anyone from disturbing them.
Забавно получилось Искал в интернете информацию об фракции в игре Elite Dangerous, выдало в поиске твой прекрасный ролик. Очень хорошо получается, продолжай.
Thanks a lot :) ..for: 1) Creating this Epically Unique & Magnificent Masterpiece And...2) sharing this type of content with us all here👍 :) , Great work 👍😄
I would think that, the capsules are all some sort of full body VR/life-support pods. The Alien Civilization have long gone into simulation living. Better use of resources I think ? Would really like to see a series for this, at least whet our appetites via some writing.
We used your video. Will there be trouble. But the credit is in your name. The link is also given Link= ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UN_Zzx_tLCM.html
The score had me entranced. It really set the tone for the larger than life visuals. Golden sunlight reflecting off the structures adds to a mystical realism. What a great job. Inspiring!
the textures, the movement of the animation, the apearance of that absolutely cool corvette shuttle in the beginning........and the design...it is really cool........very artistic, thank you...can we please have more?
The quality of cgi is very high. The content is interesting: an other civilization is understable? Is reachable in the space time? Questions with no answer using our current thinking. The impossibility of communication remember me Lem's Solaris
Nice using our home super cluster as the name for the title and very realistic in what we could encounter. However.. if we did meet all these coffins of aliens in the future, wouldn't we bring one with us home and maybe reanimate? or at the very least opening one to document? very nice work. looking forward to future releases.
