You are by far my favorite animator! You add life to your characters, not only here, but in your various SFM's, such as Trash Fight. Your use of squash and stretch and applying it to 3-d models is truly breathtaking. I am always excited for what's next when it comes to Jesse Baumgartner.
Holy shit i've been playing league for so long and i didnt even know you worked on these animations. Well done dude, still love your tf2 stuff too. You've come a long way
Your work is so beautiful, as an aspiring animator do you have maybe a book or path or website that helped you get to where you are minus going to school : ) thank you
Thank you! Times have changed a lot since I was first learning animation. Full time school is soooo expensive these days. There are individual classes at schools like Gnomon (can take online, I think), lots of online communities that are great for mentorship.
As a long time League fan I have to admit you've animated three of my all time favourite skins out of I'd say my top five with the Ekko, Jhin and Ezreal legendaries. I wonder if you helped animate this year's new champions? Maybe Sett? Maybe Yone...?
@@AnimBaum Will you be posting something else like this later this year? Are you allowed to say what you have worked on that has been previously released or announced such as the Ahri and Thresh skins?
@@drrrivevibes Possibly, although it won't be as robust this year. I will only ship a couple skins that I actually animated on this year (including Mecha Kingdoms Jax, Coven Morgana, High Noon Senna). Couple more coming soon-ish, but after that I will have transfered to a different team where I am doing more animation lead type work.
@@AnimBaum A different team with Riot? Hope you stay on, I noticed the animation quality increase with Mecha Jax at the start of this year and would hate to see you go. You seriously bring a lot of soul to League of Legends' legendary skins, plenty of hand-animated character and fluidity that I haven't seen since Nightbringer Yasuo and Dawnbringer Riven to be honest. Always wanted to ask an employee this but do you get any goodies working for them like lots of RP or an account with the partnership perks?
As everyone else says your animation is truly amazing, but if you want to become a successful youtuber you need to find a way to add more content, maybe stream your workings in animation or something like that? Not enough content is one of the things that can be a really big bummer about youtubers, a great example would be hoovytube. Anyone who knows then could most likely agree they have some great content, and they make their episodes like 20-40 minutes long invetween each of the months so it feels worth it you know? Again your animation is absolutely beautiful and you’ve gotten 12.9 thousand subscribers from just a few videos, I also don’t want you to stop your great animation work so, I guess you’ll have to figure it out for yourself. Maybe show the fans a more rushed animation and a smoother one to see which one we like? (I forgot to mention I’m a subscriber)
