I own the Tex Critter's Pizza Jamboree show featured here!! They're nearly restored now but need a control system which has been a struggle. I love those characters so much and I'm extremely grateful to have them. My goal is to eventually have my animatronics set up somewhere where fans can come to visit.

Damn if only u lived in Switzerland. We got a really cool public museum style place here called Dreamfactory that already hosts a rock-afire show. The jamboree show would honestly fit in there so perfectly and I just know they‘d love to host the show there, considering theyre expanding their area rn
As a Looney Tunes fan, it bums me that the Gadget’s Restaurant had to close down. Would’ve been so cool for me to experience if I was even born in that timeline lol. (Plus that Rocky and Bullwinkle restaurant)
I’m pretty indifferent to FNAF, I knew of it when it first came out but it never caught in for me, HOWEVER. One of the coolest ideas would be a seasonal Halloween pop up restaurant of fnaf. It can be a restaurant by day and scary haunted attraction by night. That would be so fun and would definitely catch on.
To make a note about the revive of major magics it was in front of a Kmart on I think macomb in mi and now it's a small fine dining reservation I went the animatronics where not in great shape they where slow
I suggest looking into Jekyll and Hyde's if you ever do a sequel. That resturant is close to my heart and Ill remember it always. I have some photos from the last year it was open if wanted. It's my fav, and IMO the coolest due to being horror themed, animatronic based resturant. They also hired local startup actors as well!
Gigglebee's was actually a small chain that had multiple locations throughout different states, but under various different names. The original Gigglebee's (seen in the video) was located in Sioux Falls, SD and had another nearby location in Rapid City, SD. The Rapid City location was later renamed "Peppy's Pizza" and lasted the longest out of the Gigglebee's franchises, closing around 2015. Gigglebee's had a beloved sister franchise located in Sioux City, IA under the name of "Pizza Peddler" and was in one of the buildings located at the KD Station. The KD station was a meat packing plant that had been rebuilt into a shopping mall, and Pizza Peddler was located on the 2nd floor of a sub-building in the old meat packing plant. The KD Station caught fire and was demolished around 2007, leaving Pizza Peddler alone in the unaffected sub-building. Most residents of Sioux City, IA assumed that Pizza Peddler had been closed along side the other shops located in KD Station, and eventually business dwindled forcing Pizza Peddler to close its doors. Today the space sits vacant above a gun store and range that occupies the basement and 1st floor, at the bottom of the stairs is a sign from the original Pizza Peddler, featuring the hours of operation and art of Wilbur riding his trike. The last franchise was established inexplicably far from Siouxland, and was located in a Goose Creek, SC shopping center. This franchise operated under the name "Track Stars FEC" and I admittedly cannot find a lot of information on this location. The old Track Stars FEC space is now occupied by an O'Reilly Auto Parts. Wilbur The Coyote and rights to the franchise were acquired by George Hahn around the time Peppy's Pizza closed, and Wilbur has received a total redesign. Wilbur still rides and attends events to this day, and is a beloved Siouxland icon. As for plans for a future location, George has teased at the idea, but has stated "location is everything" and that he would like to refine Wilbur's design first.
What sucks is that the chuck e cheese where I live, there aren't animatronics anymore. They had gotten rid of all of them except for this old chucky animatronic but now it's just a huge television in the place of where they were.
the medford bullwinkle's did not close down >permanently< in 2001. After reopening, it remained under the "bullwinkle" name, and then, it changed to "Boomers" (but still kept the Rocky & Bullwinkle theme up)... I have no clue what the state of the place is now, as I have not gone over there in some time. It was a pretty big place
Unfornately I miss my original Bullwinkle's location. It was a Family Fun Center in Fountain Valley, CA and has gone through rough patches. It had a unique water stage/fountain and the animatronics were in the back where the behind the water stage runway. It had an arcade, bumper boats, bating cage, rides, go cart and mini golf. Similar to its original sister location. I think sometime in the early 2000s it closed down and became Boomers, which for that location lasted until 2019. Once covid hit, that location closed down and now sits abandoned. The entire location has been vandalized, mostly that of the mini golf course and go kart track. It really sucks since I have a lot of memories of the place. It was the only other location I saw animatronics at other than Chuck E Cheese. Otherwise all we had as competition was "Castle and Coasters" which too sadly shut down.
Wait a minute! I remember that place! I went there occasionally, growing up! I didn’t realize they had closed down. Last time I was there the pizzeria was definitely gone and so was the fountain and animatronic show. They still had the go karts and mini golf, but they redid “Western Land” for the indoor mini golf course into that “Cosmic Land”, it looked awful. I still like the tradition of knocking on the “western town store front doors”, near the end of that golf course.
I feel like nowadays it’s a horribly bad decision to make a animatronic restaurant, Kids don’t do anything but sit on phones and the internet, and that’s not inherently a bad thing, but there’s no reason to make these anymore. when kids want a birthday party they just want to hang out with friends. And estate sales are on a all time high, so it’s hard to buy and keep a property. Even with how much animatronics have progressed, there’s not going to be much business, and Chuck E. Cheese is still alive and well so anyone could just go there.
I disagree with this mindset, I don't honestly think kids being glued to screens (which imo IS a bad thing, please stop giving babies ipads and nurture them like an actual parent) is what makes animatronic franchises unsuccessful, it's a lot more to do with the maintenance and expenses that go towards keeping these machines active. It's a lot of effort for an establishment that ultimately accomplishes little more than, say, a local theater for example. A lot of theaters have games in the corner, food and snacks, and entertainment available... a lot less heavy maintenance to set up a projector than a robot performer. An establishment like Chuck E Cheese in particular is more tailored to kids as well, resulting in a stigma against adults visiting (especially without younger relatives). A different approach to the idea that appeals more to kids and adults alike would probably lull more visitors, but as far as finances idk how you work around the demands of an animatronic machine.

i spent half of my childhood hanging out at the bullwinkle family fun center, not even kidding the workers knew us by name in there we went so frequent. their pizza was exceptionally good, it was such a magical experience having dinner while watching the animatronics perform their little skits and songs! the tukwila location is the one we visited most since we lived close by, so many wonderful memories there with my family!!❤️
I grew up going to Bullwinkle's in the summer when I visited the West Coast. I always loved how much more there was to do (games, mini golf, go karts, ropes courses, water rides) on top of the standard pizza and arcade. Unfortunately they were phasing out animatronics by then and I only saw them once or twice. A lot of the restaurants are getting a revamp, but are going the chuck-e route and hiding the animatronics away.
I'm just sad that Animatronic Restaurants never came over to the UK and became a hit like CEC. I know there was one short lived one, but it was basically Showbiz with one animatronic going by a different name and edited slightly. I wish we had been able to create our own version, it wouldn't even need to be a pizza place, we could have had an Animatronic Pub for example, since pubs are everywhere.

I have visited the Wilsonville location, which today operates as the Wilsonville Family Fun Center, with only the small indoor pizzeria being called Rocky & Bullwinkle's, with just the two eponymous animatronics.
I stumbled upon your video and well on the topic of gadgets restaurant. It's actually interesting. I live in New Jersey near toms River and it's actually pretty weird when I was working for rental car business moving their cars. I seen an old sign for it and I was like wait. Where is this place? And when I drove past the building was gone so I was like holy crap who knew Then a few weeks later the sign was gone and I was like. I guess somebody must have seen it and must seen it
I don't actually think that's a bad thing. I've been a fan of animatronics since I could breathe basically, and I'm also a FNAF fan. Ever since 2014 there's been a boom of animatronic restoration projects because FNAF sparked interest for a lot of people. While it may look different from the early 80s-2000s I think that it's still the same at heart
Bullwinkles is where I went when I was a kid. Since some of them are still in operation (sadly not the one in Santa Clara that I frequented back in the day) I think it would be fun to visit one for the nostalgia.
I remember Gigglebee’s! My family and I visited there while on vacation in the late ‘90s. It was around the time Toy Story had come out, so my parents told me it was Pizza Planet to get me to go lol. Our animatronic waiter was a female dragon; I forget what her name was. At the prize counter, they told me that I could pick any prize I wanted. A giant plush toy of one of the characters was in a display case, so naturally I wanted it, except it was for display only and therefore wasn’t for sale. Rather than my parents letting it be a teachable moment and have me pick an actual prize, they instead forced the employee at the counter to give it to me. They were always such enablers lol
i went to the wilsonville bullwinkles for so many birthday parties when i was a kid. my classmates and i preferred it over chuck e cheese since there was so much more to do than just games, like the mini golf, go carts and lazer tag. now i'm realizing why i love fnaf security breach the most. lol
I'm from south dakota! I hadn't heard of Gigglebees until now but I realized in sioux falls at a convention called Siouxpercon, they have Wilbur riding round his scooter talking to folks!!! This makes me so happy :))
Memory unlocked! I never went there but I have driven past the Wilsonville location of Family Fun Center many times when I have gone up to visit my grandparents every summer until 2018 when they moved down to my hometown in California.
I went to the Bullwinkle's in Fountain Valley, California when I was a kid. I went to several birthday parties there, including one of my own. I loved it! I was way bigger and had more to do than any Chuck-E-Cheese's ever did (probably because it was kind of a "campus" with lots of other attractions, like mini-golf, bumper cars, and kart racing). I have fond memories of that place. That location doesn't exist anymore, but of the ones on your list, Bullwinkle's is the only one I knew (and visited).
The image of the Facebook post you make reference to is of a manager of the Tex Critter’s Pizza Jamboree location that was at the Plaza Carolina Mall in Carolina, Puerto Rico. The restaurant opened in 1982 and was located at the food court of the mall “La Plazoleta” and was the first and only of these restaurants out of the United States to my knowledge.
i just learnt tonight that the arcade i went to as a kid owned the last rockafire explosion in canada. i was way too young to remember it well and the fact that i just barely missed my chance to go back and see the show in person will haunt me forever lmao
My hometown of Calgary, Alberta had a Bullwinkle's when I was a kid. But it wasn't a family fun center. Just had the restaurant with the animatronics, and arcade.
this may be a non-morbid video but i’m still creeped out bc of the music, vibe, & topic! animatronics are lowkey creepy! 😭 also the animatronic restaurant has to be the worst kind of trend for doing business; the restaurant industry is already not v solid (60% of new restaurants close within 1 year of operation, 80% fail within 5 years) … on-top of even higher startup costs considering animatronics… what a BAD investment 😭
My mom went to magics and I never knew what it was but I saw her child photo there in front of the drum and we live in Michigan so it made a lot of sense. Also you should come visit Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Muesuem I believe you’ll love it as you loved smitty’s
