As good a troll that Anish is on Twitter, he's always so empathetic in interviews after his opponents make horrible blunders. Anish's bluff against Sam Shankland (who resigned a theoretically drawn position after b5-b6) in Tata Steel 2019, and now Jorden's Qc3 one move blunder. He really knows how it feels.
I don't understand it either. Imo it is all set up by the organizers in case one of them would be close to winning the tournament at the end so they could help each other. Imo Jorden threw the game. There is no way that Anish plays the french and wins by trapping a minor piece right out of the opening. Dutch people are extremely racist but still they will not hesitate to slap their flag around the shoulders of a guy darker than the night when the person wins some prestigious sporting event. It would not surprise me when anish wins an easy game tomorrow.
Learn to see the larger picture. It's human to lose one's calm. Nodirbek was on a winning streak...but lost to Vidit. Gukesh made a 3 way repetition without realizing. Max went into a loss from Drawn position. It's crazy chess classics...that's all. Chill and try to get away from unnecessary conspiracy theories. Everything is not a conspiracy. Even the Chinese are playing each other at the end.
@@loneranterism learn that some theories could be true. Just because crazy things happen in chess, it doesn’t mean that we have to assume every crazy thing that happens in chess is random and unintentional. Jordan’s blunder was very weird in a classical game at that level and if you see that they’re both Dutch and that blunder gave Anish a great chance to win the whole tournament then you have solid the reason to come up with such theories.
