Ik schaam me als Nederlander echt een beetje voor hoe weinig respect deze topschakers krijgen. Giri is echt een intelligente en welbespraakte man en de nummer 1 van Nederland! 🏆
Anish en Jorden zijn geweldig. Sorry maar de interviewers en gasten doen net alsof het kinderen zijn. alsof ze praten tegen een persoon met een verstandelijke beperking.... deze mannen zijn de top van de wereld! een vraag aan het begin over alcoholgebruik, en later "heb je wel een sociaal leven". Vragen om koppen in de krant te scoren. respectloos echtwaar.
waar je allemaal niet verontwaardigd over kan zijn... wees blij dat schaken nu super populair is en dat 'wij' namens Nederland een fantastische representatie t.o.v. de rest van de wereld hebben
Altijd vervelend hoe de interviewers over schaken praten. Een van de grootste toernooien ter wereld in een van de grootste sporten ter wereld word een "potje" genoemd. Anish is een top speler van de wereld en verdient veel meer respect dan hij en ook Jorden hebben gekregen hier
Wat een onderschatting van het absolute top niveau van Anish en Jorden. Da's net als aan Max Verstappen vragen waarom hij zoveel rondjes moet rijden, vooraleer hij kan winnen.
@@forefatherofmankind3305 Tata Steel is a big factory that polutes a lot. And i mean a lot. The people living in the area around the factory die younger and have a higher risk of getting cancer. The factory has been a lot in the news lately due to this so people don't really like them haha
Goed interview om schaken populairder te maken. Ze hadden dat blindschaken wel even voor kunnen bereiden, zodat een derde persoon de zetten op het bord speelt. Dat blijft voor een leek toch zeer indrukwekkend.
Ik weet niet of de interviewers helemaal door hadden dat Anish de absolute wereldtop is met een denkvermogen die ver boven die tafel uitstijgt. Vond het een wat vreemd interview (met die opmerking rond 7:12 als toppunt)
Ja die vrouw is puur gif! Al had die 'geen leven', hij is een van de beste schakers ter wereld. Hoe kan je iemand proberen naar beneden te praten die ergens zijn volledige leven met hart en ziel aan werkt...
@@Don-ev9rb Je hebt op zich een punt, maar je moet niet te zwaar tillen aan 1 zo’n opmerking. Ze bedoelde het wellicht niet zo denigrerend als het eruit kwam. We zeggen allemaal weleens iets zonder er eerst goed na over te denken dus gun elkaar een beetje het voordeel van de twijfel 🙂
@@constantijndekker8343 Oké maar het waren zo ver ik meekreeg meerdere opmerkingen. Zowel "je hebt zeker geen sociaal leven" als, bij het noemen van zijn vrouw en kinderen, "oh dat is toch nog gelukt" (of iets in die trant). Het voordeel van de twijfel zou ik eerder zoeken in dat het misschien speels bedoeld is met een knipoogie erbij, maar ik had ook de indruk dat zij totaal niet meekreeg dat ze het over hun trainingskampbezigheden hadden ipv een doorsnee dag. Alsof het zo verrassend is dat men op een schaaktrainingskamp veel bezig is met schaken.
Extreem disrespectvol van de interviewer maar vooral de andere gasten. Hoe zij hier twee grootmeesters belachelijk maken alsof het kleine kinderen zijn. Het zijn twee van de top spelers van de wereld en vooral Anish is top 5 en de beste speler van Nederland ooit. Deze mannen dienen veel meer respect te krijgen dan dit.

7:13 triest weer dat er zo op ze neer gepraat wordt. Anish is echt een miljoen keer slimmer dan de rest aan tafel en ook nog eens heel sociaal. Hij klinkt in het nederlands door z'n accent misschien een beetje als een nerd voor sommige mensen maar als je hem in het engels hoort praten is dat totaal niet zo.
The attitude of the interviewers is little childish. They look at both players as if they are some exotic species. Needless to say that the implication of many silly questions is that these top level players are abnormal to pursue something as demanding as chess as if other fields do not require huge sacrifices to be at the top. But of course they won't know that since they are journalists. Additionally, it is offensive to bring interviewers with little to no understanding of chess to interview top players about chess. The least they can do is to bring a titled player to engage with both guests and appreciate what they are saying as well as explaining it to others. Yet, all we have is a silly a guy at the end who asked "but who is black and who is white?". This must be the silliest question since white is always the one who start the game as a rule. Unlike the childish interviewers, both Anish and Jorden were mature enough not to expose his ignorance and stupidity, and instead laughed it off and kept silence. The other question about social life is not only disrespectful but implies that the guests are abnormal. It also belittle their sacrifices to reach the top in their field. There is nothing shameful about having constrained social life to reach a higher goal and achieve something of worth. It is actually rare to find smart and well-educated interviewers. They are often stupid and ignorant.
I agree with your opinion on the childishness of the interviewers and the god awful remarks about social life. But, having (respectful) interviewers with little to no knowledge about a specific topic helps the general audience, who are mostly laymen, get an insight into the topic. It's like interviewing a nuclear physicist. Sure, a college professor will be able to converse in-depth topics with the physicist, but the general audience will remain outside the loop. Having an interviewer with little to no knowledge makes him the proxy of the audience and hopefully that helps in sparking an interest on the subject for the audience members, which is ultimately the goal of the interview in my opinion
@@Dev_712 when it comes to chess, I don't think an interviewer with little to no knowledge about the game and its contours would conduct a successful interview. Little to no knowledge in any field or domain on the part of the interviewer means they would not appreciate neither what the interviewee says nor what they achieve. That's why we have specialists in the media. For example, There are those who specialize in political science and who are able to conduct a successful program in interviewing political scientists among others on certain issues. This applies across the board but it is more crucial when it comes to chess. Your analogy about interviewing a physicist does not work. If the interviewer knows nothing about physics and what physicists do, he/she would be unable to engage with the physicist outside the script. In fact, those who popularize science and introduced it to the public are themselves scientists or in the worst cases postgraduates. This is because to communicate something complex to the public one has to know that complex knowledge and then transmit it in accessible ways. There is a trick that interviewers rely on often times when they conduct an interview with a specialist which is to prepare the questions by consulting certain persons with good knowledge about the field or the domain involved in the topic of the interview. But this makes the interview scripted and dry. Needless to say, the interviewee would feel lack of engagement from the interviewer and might even sense their lack of appreciation of what they said that may need more elaboration. As for this TV program, all interviewers failed on both ends: they have a severe lack of knowledge about the game and what it demands on the one hand, and they too lazy to consult a chess player who has a good knowledge about the game to explain things to the interviewers beforehand, on the other hand. There are huge numbers of good club players and lower FIDE rated players (e.g. FMs, NMs). A successful interviewer should aquire a basic knowledge about the questions she would ask the guest. In this fashion she would appreciate the guest's new knowledge and would engage with them successfully. The least they could do was to consult an expert for the right questions and keep their mouth shut as many interviewers do. But they want to ask whatever comes to their mind and made fools of themselves to anyone who has a basic knowledge about chess and chess world.

They are talking abit inarticulaty , so I can see where it is coming from. But if you focus you can notice that Dutch has very similar words to English and German.

@@abel2150i think they struggle to see chess as a sport. They probably put it in the same boat as monopoly or something in their mind. I think the host should have made it way more clear that its even as or arguably more impressive then for example max verstappen or epke zonderland. Or prehaps name the prize money thats involved so people get an idea how serious it is.

Je moet beseffen dat iemand als Anish 1 uit duizenden is. Deze mensen zijn nog een stuk intelligenter dan een genie als Elon Musk bv. Schakers van dat niveau hebben een IQ van 170+ over het algemeen.
Iq zegt sws niks. Je kunt heel goed worden in schaken ook al is je iq wat lager, maar ik snap wat je bedoeld. Anish is erg slim en dat kun je ook merken aan de manier op hoe hij sociaal doet.
Sorry hoor, maar als je twee kinderen interviewt die samen een potje boter, kaas en eieren spelen. Dan zouden de vragen hetzelfde zijn. Triest dat het op deze denigrerende manier moet gebeuren
Leuk dat schaken so populair aan het worden is. Ik was altijd al een groot schaakfan op jonge leeftijd , maar de jongere generatie is er veel meer mee bezig. Ook dankzij Andrew Tate , die het stigma over schakers veranderd heeft. (23jr)
