I just purchased one and I'm finding out that there are sooo many hassles and workaround solutions to do the simplest things that my Kitchen Aid doesn't require. And for the price, I don't think that should be the case.
I own both as well. Its like one is a Honda Accord. Easy and simple. The other is like a Land Rover. Complex but very capable. I like the lightness of the dough from the Ankar. I like the easy everyday of the KA. I think some foodies may like the Ankar better but that KA for the everyday is really hard to beat. I like both for different reasons.
Making the classic beater bowl plastic, was the worst mistake this company has made in their design. Mine has cracked making a normal sizes cookie recipe. 😭 it would be better made in aluminum, or glass, or metal. Plastic does not hold up. 😭
