This camera is absolute RUBBISH. I bought it and it does not work. It s unreliable, doesnt send you notification, records NOTHING,Im returning mine today. NIT HAOPY AT ALL 🥴🥴🥴
I definitely agree, you don't know what you are getting. The models look similar , the cameras look the same but they change the name ever so slightly. Very confusing!
According to Anker Eufy the Homebase 2 (shown in the video unpacking) has no backup power or replaceable memory . The EufyCam Homebase (shown at 07:48) has backup power and a SD memory slot.
You are showing Eufy Cam2 in unboxing but some of the screenshots are from Eufy Cam1 which has a different base station. Eufy have 4 different confusing models. Here is a link for Eufy Cam1, CamE, Cam2C differences. Eufy Cam2 uses the same base station as Eufy Cam2C. One of main issues I have with Eufy is the non-expandable 16GB memory, wish they would include a microSD slot and allow 24/7 recording.
Do you have any problems with motion events being triggered? I walk outside (it triggers), I wait 15 seconds and come back, it doesn't do anything and I walk right by. This is with sensitivity set to max, capture all motion, and the heaviest recording settings....very annoying, wonder if you have the same issue and how you fixed before I return :(
This website states it doesn't come with a homebase battery backup, but you mentioned it does. Did you see this in the box? technicallywell.com/eufycam-1-vs-eufycam-2/
Nice review, by chance did you happen to do a range test through walls? Optimistically, I would like to place the base in the basement with furthest camera being about 65’ away. Worst case scenario through a floor and four walls.
the furthest camera i have is in the garage, that about 50ft and a brick wall and regular stud/drywall in between. I do recommend the router have good range. I have the asus ax11000
I have both Homebase 1 and two and initially wanted to know why the kit differed in price by $100 in the US (I’m in Australia) and after digging deep, Homebase 1 has the back up battery, expandable memory, louder alarm with firmware update, face recognition through AI chip, Automation options, amongst other things that Homebase 2 doesn’t. I’d recommend getting the kit with Homebase 1 if you can. And just a reminder that Eufy actually recommends only using the screw type wall anchor rather than the magnet type as it’s too easy to remove for others to steal. I would however recommend using a good quality Loc-Tite screw glue firstly so that it doesn’t come loose when trying to adjust it on the mount. This doubles up as making it harder for people to remove it off the anchor point in a sneaky way.
i have the doorbell and c2 cam, activity zones dont work. its the case on all the cams. eufy said about a year ago that its beta software and they would fix it....... still waiting. makes the cams almost useless for my property.
Nice video I need to ask you a question as I understand from certain reviews by customers on amazon for the eufycam2 that is not working anymore with amazon eco show device is this true as am planning to get a new set Note all the devices in my home eco dot 3 and eco show 5 & 8 so I am concern about if it's not working with this devices so I can proceed with other brands compatible with amazon devices Looking forward to hear from you very soon
Does it support Apple HomeKit out of the box? I know there’s a beta for HomeKit Secure Video going on and supposedly will be out in December, but what about HomeKit in general?
not sure if it's compatible but it does show me the option to add EufyCam E to my homebased 2 on the installation app. SO i am thinking it is compatible...thanks for watching
@@fantasiatradingllc9611 thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately, I find only the AMAZON.COM system for sale. Do you know if it will soon arrive in Italy on the AMAZON.IT site?
@@supermariobroswonder-v7d I have not had any false alarms or recording when any animals cross the cameras line of sight. There is an option to choose human activity or ALL ACTIVITY when it comes to motion triggered recording. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
Ours have performed well over 2 winters now and still doing great heading into 3rd winter. Checkout our update video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8Rr11ZC6ow4.html
They actually hold up, i only charged 1 camera out of 3 and that is because it face the high traffic doorway which gets alot of deliveries. The other cameras have been holding up well, will probably have to charge them soon. The eufy doorbell on the other hand has to be charged every 4 months but it isn't much of a hassle.
Our batteries are still great after 2 years heading into the 3rd. Try out our solar power (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LMmWopvndaY.html) or external power (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b1QiHW7Z32s.html) DIYs so you don't need to take the cameras down to charge. Batteries are still doing good after 2 years with these DIYs.
I just checked its still there, go to the setting of the camera, not the setting in the top left corner...camera settings then motion detection then activity zone is the second box down...hope that helps
I guess all cameras had to update before I got activity zones. It is now showing. Thanks for your time. This is the best video review yet of this system.
If you have the original Eufycam you won't have an activity zone, with the Eufycam 2 that's an option but you lost facial recognition. I have both models and mine are up to date. Plus, if I remember right you need a homebase 2 in order to access the activity zone setting.
