If you're looking for the best portable fridge Australia has to offer, you may very well come across the Anker EverFrost 53L. Unlike the Anker EverFrost 43L and Anker EverFrost 43L, the Anker EverFrost 50 Powered Cooler is up for the best dual-zone fridge freezer category. But is it any good? Find out in tech vlogger Chris Stead's Anker EverFrost 53L review.
Also known as the Anker EverFrost Dual-Zone Powered Cooler 50, or simply the Anker EverFrost Dual-Zone Powered Cooler 50.
In this Anker EverFrost cooler review, you'll see it taken for an Anker EverFrost test, learn about the Anker EverFrost battery life and the best Anker EverFrost features. There's also an Anker EverFrost compressor sound review, and the Anker EverFrost solar ability is discussed.
I hope you enjoy this Anker EverFrost 50 review. In particular, an Anker EverFrost Australia review. It's up for categories such as:
Best portable fridge freezer.
Best portable fridge for camping.
The best portable fridge with battery
Best portable fridge for car.

Another fantastic review. Keep it up I reckon you are very watchable. Concise and well spoken. My wife would have something to say about your Bintang singlet but for me it adds to your credibility as a camping equipment expert. 👍 How about a review of Akubra versus Barmah.

Haha, my wife feels the same way. That shirt was a present from a mate actually. I love it. Super comfortable and great for camping as it only grows in stature with spilt beer, smoke and meat grime. Thanks again for the kind words.

If i where to ever buy this i would wait for a very good sale(Anker products are constantly on sale) buy 2 of the 33l units for around $500 each, giving you 66l total with one dedicated to a fridge and the second a dedicated as a freezer. Full retail for this when there are quite a few different brands quite a bit cheaper , no way , to much money

That's an interesting approach. Would take up a fair bit of space. I used to use a dual-zone companion fridge that was great - had an 80-ish L variant and a 96L from memory. Was just a tad over $1000. A lot smaller footprint that 2 x Ankers... but obviously no flexibility to downsize when desired.

So does it charge while plugged in to AC and will the battery automatically kick in when grid is down? I need a backup freezer up at my cabin that will preserve food at rare times when the power goes out (during storms, etc.)
@motivatedtravel

Yes, this should work fine. If the fridge is on, it will be pulling power until there is no power left from the battery. If the battery/fridge is plugged into AC, the power going in is more than the power going out, so the battery just stays at 100%.

Why are there no solar panels built into the lid?

It's a fair quetion - three reasons I can think of. 1. If you left the fridge in the sun, it would need so much more power to stay cool, you'd likely be worse off rather than actually charging the battery. 2. The lack of an angle combined with the small surface area would likely give you negligible input. 3. Would up the cost without much positive boost to experience.

yeah, I need a big single zone I can choose for it to be a freeze for one trip and cooler on another
@motivatedtravel
@motivatedtravel 3 месяца назад
I tend to have both zones on the same temp for most trips, but there's some good single zones out there, too. The Companion Lithium 60L could be a good option.

@@motivatedtravel I mainly want a single zone for the larger space for larger cuts of meat.
