Yeah, cause unlike other RU-vidr's who just spill out the technical details they read off the site, Oluv actually puts these bluetooth speakers through the test, and brings us along using binaural recording. Hearing is believing, and were all here with Oluv on these video's. So I agree, best bluetooth speakers channel!
Thre's some one that is mexican, he's name is NOE and his chanel is AUDIO Y MAS.....so you better shut the f*** up and respect the content of everyone that do this kind of videos. Cheers!
Measurements can never tell you the whole story depending on how and where they were performed. Some speakers measure crappy with sine sweeps but with music you will notice that other speakers measuring better will suck more. My sound samples are in fact measurements that you can hear. They are compensated for sound emission from 30 degree to the left and right as if you were listening to a standardised stereo setup. I demonstrate the sound in different locations from different angles, different volume levels. It took me years to optimise my recording method and I am still improving it today. If you think my recordings are worse than others just stay away from here and stick to all the other better RU-vidrs out there.
The audio recording quality is unmatched! Other channels claim binaural recording but some with oluvs audio u can see the wind outside cars passing on the left side like you can tell this damn near closest audio to in person!!👌🏽
Great work Oluv! I don't buy any speaker til I see the honest review from Oluv. I ALWAYS value an honest professional opinion on SOUND. THANK U Oluv for ur work!
Welcome back Oluv, its good to see you! Hands down the Anker mops the decks with the JBL! The size of that court requires larger sized speakers, to have the capacity to really fill the court with sound from all corners. Having said that, it is quite clear, that the Anker wins this challange hands down, much better quality in the sound. JBL just falls off the map IMO.
I just picked up the Boom 2 to fill the gap for some more portability from my also recently acquired Tribit Stormbox Blast(it's heavy and a little bulky). Boom 2 will be used for taking most places like the lake and outdoors for tennis and cookouts. Hoping it sounds good in person once I get it!
For small speakers JBL is outdated, but for partybox speakers JBL does not yet have a serious competitor, Anker and tribit offer nothing in the party speaker range .
How does the Soundcore Boom 2 compare to the Tribit you previously compared to the JBL Extreme 4? TBH, I'm watching this looking for something more portable than my Exos-9 (which I bought based on your video in 2017) but which doesn't sound like I'm listening to someone else's music leaking out of the headphones on a train.
but this is next gen of boom first gen, not plus model! Boom 2 Plus will come yet in future i think with way more bass and power.. but of course also higher price. but i will wait on plus model i think it will much worth to wait for it!
Anker sounds way more even and more pleasing to my ear. The JBL sounds like an extreme V curve with the mid hollowed out massively. I am listening through my Polk Signa S4 sound bar.
Hi Oluv. Do you still have your EQ settings for the EarFun UBOOM L for sale on your website? I can't find it anywhere. I plan in buying two units of this bluetooth speaker and would like to benefit from your EQ settings on it. Thank you in advance for your response
@@datapty5113 was literally a joke and I'm not bias. I'll try to buy whichever brand offers the best in class performance for a particular price range. I've owned JBL, Rockford, Sony, Anker, Edifier, and Klipsch speakers.
Boom2 users: DONT DISABLE SPEAKER PROMPTS in app settings.. or preEQ of speaker won't be loaded and high frequencies will be absent. Enable and reboot, who has this problem. Soundcore said they will fix this bug in future.
Thank you for this video comparison. Im now convinced in saving up for the boom 2 which may take a couple of months before I can get it locally online. Just curious though, can make a comparison of the boom 2 to the motion boom please (if you still own the motion boom)
@@oluvsgadgets This is the only part that I dont't like of what anker cant fix in the first place. in low volume of critical listening, that bass algorithm issues always breaks the mood for me
Super Video!
Any chance you can release your custom eqs? I've had my boom 2 in for a week and am liking it allot. I've owed the original JBL Xtreme, docking d fine and 2x Sony xb30s. This. Boom 2 is a steal for what it is I reckon, one major downside being the no aux.
Heya Oluv! Many thanks on your review and insights. It looks like Anker sounds more natural, but with true PEQ, it has slightly higher potential. True highs are missing in Anker. You are right with the eq. It is useless.
I've seen so far many versus of these speakers and this is the first one I see that can actually give you a good idea of the differences between both, others stayed close so sound was similar. soundcore rocks hard, for me is the winner
I've only had Soundcore Boost up until now. Is this a small or a massive upgrade? I really want to get it but if it's not much of an upgrade I don't want to spend what little I saved up
@@tonyaudiotestit’s a self made microphone. The key is to get 100% consistent fit every time and wear them as deep as possible inside the ear to get all HRTFs captured. The resulting sound is very distorted though and needs to be processed for a flat response again. You can try some commercial models but don’t expect great results out of the box.
I like the Xtreme and JBLs other speakers, but Anker/Soundcore has really hit the mark with this one. All reviews ive seen point to the Soundcore Boom 2 being the better value, even if they were priced the same.
@oluvsgadgets but the xtreme 4 does have a user replacable battery and can play with out the battery. The boom 2 will be dead when the battery is dead.
U appear not very bright. For 399 EUR u can buy 1 JBL and I assume the battery costs 40-60 euro. So for 450 euro u buy the Xtreme and a battery. Or for this amount just buy 3-4 Soundcore units, which u can also chain them for stereo.

I guess thanks to that 1 big woofer instead of 2 smaller woofers makes it that they dont need to make that much phase crap that would normally interact with bass like it does with motion boom.
I wondered the same thing. I ordered the Boom2, but I wonder what Oluv's opinion is as well. I wonder if the Boom2 was the good choice. Now on the Soundcore website the Boom Plus goes for 120 eur, so a very good price. Edit: I had the Motion Boom until now but I sold it because I felt that it lacked some clarity. I chose the Boom 2 after seing this clip actually.
@@confess2god what I can see from tests by other youtubers is: the boom 2 has a little bit more clarity and the bass is the same like motion boom plus until ~60/70% volume. Motion Boom Plus keeps the bass stronger with higher volumes. But I also wonder what Oluv thinks.
@@patakiba3334I don't have an answer but he did compare the Boom Plus to the Stormbox Blast, the Blast came out on top. I had both and I felt the Boom Plus really lacked in lows and popped too much when pushing the volume. Almost like port noise.
@@Zam1Fear The Blast is definitely better, but for me is 200 eur, so a lot more expensive, and also twice as heavy as the Boom plus...so too heavy for carrying it around
Yep i just got the boom 2 for a jackpot price 90 euros , and i got the jbk for free, i already bougth the jbl. Boom its a nile away from quality price. JBL speaker arent good enough. Just the only serie from jbl that it makes it boom its the partybox. Others are not so nice...🎉
Soundcore misses the deepest bass part, compared to JBL, but in all other aspects, it sounds better. Maybe it's just Oluv's settings because he's not that much of a deep bass fan.
The Bass on the jbl definitely has a deeper punch but too much separation where as the boom has more balance and fuller bass and still hits Low but just not quite as low which is Noticeable by only a fraction. The boom hits harder over all.
The XTreme4 can produce lower frequencies than the Boom 2 can (the Boom 2s PRs give maximum output at 60 Hz) , but the Boom 2 is definitely tuned better for the rest of the spectrum. Makes you wonder what JBL was thinking...
@@River_Miles doesn't sound tinny to me. it just sounds okay. not that good, but okay. maybe it's from the earphones that I use because it's bass boosted. maybe I'll try listening again using a different one. 🤔
@@oluvsgadgets no, but from what I heard boom 2 is heard like from under a blanket & Xtreme 4 is unleashed sound without barriers. Boom 2 feel like a speaker from 90' with boosted bass bro. Don't buy this, it's a reason why it's so cheap...
@@oluvsgadgets bro, speaker need to be clear in sound, not heavy under blanket sound. Boom 2 don't give you that. It's not at the same league as Xtreme 4, sorry man, but that's a fact.
I'm sorry but boom 2 is something that is hard to hear it, I totally don't like that stopping of sound feeling. I feel more dizzy listening to boom 2. And I feel relaxed listen to Xtreme 4. If there is something that will need a fix in Xtreme 4 that it sill be added in update man. But feeling of sound is greater in Xtreme 4. Enjoy it because you got both right? @@oluvsgadgets
