Ankle Injury? today we discuss treatment options for ankle ligament injuries from sprained ankles Also known as "High Ankle Sprains" "Rolled Ankle" "Inversion Ankle Injury"
Thanks for your information it was useful and wonderful, 18 months ago I got inversion during a football match however I did an X-Ray but it didn't show anything and the doctor told me that it is not serious go and rest for a few days then slowly start your exercises again after rest I have done after rest when I started doing sport pain started again until it became worse. I have referred back to doctor he told me to do MRI and the following is the result of MRI: 1. Subchondral fracture of dome of talus bone with associated surrounding moderate edema. 2. Mild free fluid in tibiotalar joint space. 3. Sprain of anterior tibiotalar ligament. since that time i have used different medicines under treatment of doctors the front pain is solved but still pain suffers me from the right side and back of ankle some them of doctors say that there is no need for surgery it will be ok in the feature but some says that it wouldn't be back to its normal situation and also no chances of surgical operation. And one thing to be mentioned that there is no instability of ankle I can walk even run but after the muscles becomes starts its pain looking forward for your kind instructions.
@@dr.markleregenerativeortho9552 Ok so two of those links are the exact same study. The two studies that are there show that PRP was helpful initially but then at 6 months the results are identical between the PRP group and the non PRP group. I am very interested in the potential of things like PRP and stem cell therapy etc, but we should make sure we don't overstate the evidence. Would you agree?
My mri report says complete ATLF tear but I have no pain and im able to walk comfortably with slight pain while inversion What do you think needs to be done further? So far I've had a posterior slab for one week and PRICE treatment so far Please suggest
I have a fully torn ATFL, and have had it for 3 and a half months, they say they don’t think it will need surgery and don’t want to because I’m young, what should I do?
@@shaileshrao8694 Hi, I’m not too bad now, the stability is much better, but the pain is still quite bad. I’ve gone back to running, just a week ago, and I’m just pushing through the pain. Don’t forget to wear an ankle brace as well. Don’t play for at least a month, depending on how bad the tear is. Because mine was a complete tear, in two pieces, I had to be off basketball for a number of months, but if your tear is only partial, then a month would be good. If the pain hasn’t improved at all over the next week you should probably go see a doctor.
I tore all my ligaments on my left ankle, my podiatrist said I’ll need surgery if I don’t want any complications later on in life. Do you think it will heal on its own? It’s been 3 months was in a splint for the whole time. Currently no splint no pain but stiff ankle any help or advice I would appreciate it thank you @@dr.markleregenerativeortho9552
