Ann Wilson is the best singer on this planet! Nancy Wilson is the best acoustic guitarist on this planet! It's NOT easy to play the acoustic guitar. Love them!

They are both so beautiful and articulate - how can you not love them?

Yes - read their autobiography 'Kicking and Screaming'. It's fantastic. Ann especially is my hero because she was made fun of for being 'chubby' and for stuttering (if you can believe it!). Music allowed her to be her true self. And Nancy is a fantastic guitarist, a role model for budding female guitarists. The interviewer is overly-cerebral.

7:20 That was so beautifully stated by Ann...such an incredible duo: and they've survived, that's the most impressive part of it all, the music is still alive and intact, full of soul.

Every Heart release is worth the owning from their formative works: Dreamboat Annie/Magazine thru their more commercially successful Heart/Bad Animal/Brigade/Desire Walks era. Their most recent work Jupiter's Darling/Red Velvet Car to the present Fanatic still display their ability to evolve musically. These two artists/musicians (Ann & Nancy) have undoubtedly carved their mark in the history of the rock genre. I am still and always will be loyal to their songs, poetry, musical creativity.

Get their book, "Kicking and Dreaming". A great read... A friend of mine that never really liked Heart read it and was fascinated by their History. And if you DO like Heart...well.... heheh... really insightful stuff. And damn funny at times.

Of course her voice has changed, she is 62 now...is not possible for her to sing exactly the way she used to 30 years ago..But in my opinion it has not change alot, anyway...who sings like her at age 62? They are fucking amazing they sing so beautiful, I love them!

"If you have a 'number one' hit on the radio life changes so radically that you wouldn't believe it. [...] is very seductive to say the least. You start drinking champagne and you don't stop for years. But the good part about all that, of course, is that, for us, it really taught us what was important and what wasn't". I like this quote. These women are very intelligent and very cute. I love them.

Ann is every bit as good as Freddie Mercury IMO. Nancy is one of the greats too in her category.

The 80s Heart music was EXACTLY about the music , hence the band had a huge comeback and was awarded massive success. Also , Passionworks and Private Audition were also in the 80s but didn’t sell well . Capital Records hit a home run with the songs , production and image . Not sure why that’s frowned about , so to speak

they won't give roger fisher credit obviously but he is responsible for the guitar riffs in their hits songs and for much of the sound of the band...they just can't be humble enough to give him any credit and that's pretty sad...as far as ann and nancy they are very talented expecially ann with her voice but their current band sucks and doesn't do justice to their older tunes like crazy on you or barracuda.

alizarin - Roger Fisher was an equal Force in terms of their success early on. He created so many of the catchy riffs that put them on rock radio.. They joined his band. And became successful in that band . Yes they had their biggest success once they sold out to become corporate puppets, no longer wrote their hits, and disliked a lot of what they were persuaded to play, by their own admission. And that was pop it was no longer a rock band once they rid heart of the three original members. Clearly they're very talented and probably would have found Fame and Fortune without the jump start of the original Act. How much Fame ? No real way to tell. They did become famous in the original lineup that's a fact. There is an obvious lack of gratitude 4 the founding members. They would only let them play one tune when inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yet everything they played were tunes co-created by the original band. So if that's the tunes they chose to play why not let the original members play on all of those Tunes. The Tunes they played Without Roger, Steve and Mike and Howard fell way short. Having said that Ann is a phenomenal vocalist and Nancy's harmonies are spot-on. Had they not experienced the chemistry of the original heart it's possible they may not have gone on to enjoy the successes they've had. Clearly there's no way to tell. But it's wrong not to give credit where credit's due. Before heart they were singing at local parties.

The Wilsons made Heart famous. Ann was the songwriter. But they did all work as a team. Plus, Ann fell madly in love with the founder, Fisher's older brother which made her write Magic Man, so it was a win-win for all!
@joyk2327

@@denissegoatcher-avila3113 The songwriters are Ann, Nancy and Sue Ennis. Not only Ann. But I support your point. Without songs there is no guitar riff. We just have to remember that before the Wilson sisters, Heart was a cover band.

MegaLabarr: That's the classic middle-aged woman's dilemma: As the saying goes, "it's your face or your fanny". At middle age, a bit of extra weight benefits a woman's face in the form of youthful fullness, but it makes her body look undesirable to many people. At a certain age, a woman has to choose which she wants: Toned body, aged face; round body, youthful and full face. If only men had to go through this crap...

I have loved Heart since '76... met them many times and have even been to Ann's house in '79... and another time Howie let me in and we jammed..... blah blah... yeah OK. So I hope you all know I love them dearly.... BUT.... Nancy... those eyebrows. You WANT to look like Joan Crawford ? Go natural please. But, hey... it's her choice. Keep rockin' !

Heart was being totally ignored for their incredible shows during the 1980s while crap like shitney houston and janet jackass jackson benefitted from a rigged music media praising them. heart finally received accolades in the 2000s.

IMPRESSION Two of the finest women in rock. These 2 knew what they were doing, understood melody and how to build a song. Unfortunately the interviewer has to involve herself and try to EXPLAIN AND DEFINE AND TURN ROCK INTO SOMETHING DEEP AND MEANINGFUL "OH WHAT IT MEANS TO ME" type of BS. This is what women do to rock... STOP!!!. Rock is something you feel, leave it at that any male rocker will tell you that. Do people do that to AC/DC, or VAN HALENS works of rock (art) NOOOOOO
