I'm so grateful that Campbell and Essy are still around to see the impact that their respective courageous efforts are having on millions of lives...mine being just one. Forever gratefull!
yes. I am 50 and have been plant based for two months now. I feel great, lost extra pounds without trying. I stumbled upon all these plant-based doctors on RU-vid and bought their books. Wish I knew this stuff years ago. My mother died at age 45 with diabetes and other ailments. My father as well, heart attack, stroke, a lifelong smoker and died of lung cancer at age 78. Both my parents obese and both had dentures. I don't ever recall my parents with natural teeth. I will not live like that. If my parents only knew, but even if they did, not sure they would change.
Absolutely. I’m 70 and have been WFPBNO for about 4 years now. I lost 75 lbs, got off blood pressure meds and feel great! I surely wished I’d done this earlier, and Forks Over Knives was one of the most motivating documentaries I’ve seen.
Is it possible to adore people you don't even know? YES! My heart just melt when I see and hear Essy and Ann. Such an amazing and inspiring family. One of my goals is get to know you all in person.
That "can do" attitude of taking apart an old barn piece by piece, and getting a truckers license to haul giant timbers in order to build his own log cabin really reflects Dr. Esselstyn's "can do" attitude that he most likely projects on to those he is around including his patients and his children. He truly believes his patients can take control of their health by eating plant based.
@@Engine2PlantStrong I also love the “it’s difficult to change” and his father changing radical mastectomy as standard. The same is needed for standard diet in the western world...... a radical change.
Thank you for sharing your parents story. I always wanted to know that. In the scene of your parents having dinner at the Forks over knives movie, does your mom remember what the dressing was for the salad,? it looks fabulous and I would love to know. Thank you.
I’m sorry, I know you are not asking me and I don’t know the answer to your question but that scene had as big an impression on me as the rest of the film. The food looked 😍😍 I was Pescevegetarian at the time and the spread at end made me so hungry. I’m now obviously WFPB SOS free and follow Jane Esselstyn’s cooking RU-vid channel with Ann. 😃 their cookbook is on sale on Amazon it’s not dear and has a number of amazing dressings amongst other stellar recipes. Bon appétit! 💕
@@danishviking6254 Thank you for your response! I agree there are many good recipes in the cookbook which I have and is probably one of my most used cookbooks along with the PlantPure nation cookbook, another good one. If you have not already, please also watch PlantPure Nation. I love the cooking videos as well, Jane and Anne are amazing!
@@dinamariea61 I haven’t got the plantpurenation cookbook. I’ll check it out on Amazon. Thank you 🙏🏼. I can also recommend the engine 2 cookbook and the how not to die cookbook + the China study cookbook. These are the only cookbooks we use now. (Family of 6)
How have we missed this gem? We watched Forks Over Knives back in March 2013. It completely changed our lives 💯! Love these kinds of videos. It feels like we're part of the family. Thank you ❤
What a great time. So I take it the Crile building at the clinic was named after her father. I have been there many times. The clinic saved my dads life in the late 1960 I believe. He was the first surgery done that did a colostomy he had Crohn’s of course. Your parents are such amazing loving individuals.
So grateful to have found this wonderful family that really care about peoples lives without pumping another pill into the body. What’s so amazing is that they are scientist which normally do not integrate food with medicine. They are strictly advocates for medicine to disease. God bless you with continued health so you can continue to do the meaningful work towards plant base living. So grateful. Thank you!!
Thank you so much. I’ve never met your dad, maybe never will. But I believe he’s one of the people that saved by life. I’m not rich, I’m not famous, I’m not a celebrity. I’m just a guy who wants to live and wants to hang out with my family. Please thank him for me....
I sincerely hope it happens very quickly - that people/the medical community become aware of so many medical misnomers - re: diet / health and re: orthopedics, etc.
I watched Forks over knives in 2016 it was life changing for me- thank you for standing up for what is right and for all of your hard work in trying to help people life happy healthy lives ❤️🙌
Your family has impacted my life. I’ve learnt so much from you all. Fact that your foundation is in New York upstate. I relate to so much I know longer live there but I miss it so. Thanks for sharing keep up the good work
Shows ambition, this family has! Love it! You don't see beams like those anymore, Our family farm had beams from the original forest growth. When Dad retired, he took the ceiling down and exposed the hand-hued beams. Love the snapshots of days gone by~ anymore coming up?
