Anna Bergendahl will represent Sweden with the song "This Is My Life" at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo (Norway), taking place on the 25th, 27th and 29th of May.
it got disqualified. she was gonna be a finalist, but they kicked her out. because she did not follow the cloth policy. really childish, but it's true.
The song is great but the punishment of the jury is biggest. The favorite in the Melfest was Salem Al Fakir, Eric Saade or Andreas Johnson. In 2011 everything changed because Christer Bjorkman introduce more countries in the international jury.
She's actually back competing for Sweden's Eurovision spot this year, with a fair shot to get it. She also attempted it last year, although that didn't go very well.

I agree. I was listening to this all the time back then. I just didn't believe my own eyes, when it wasn't qualified for the final. But who cares - I can still enjoy it. Such a masterpiece in my mind. And she's just adorable!
This song is a real masterpiece, it sounds good and it has a really good meaning. It actually taught me, that we should feel confident by being ourselves and also think that, the lyrics are really motivating. I usually listen to this, when people insults me for no good reason and it really cheers me up and gives me a motivation to keep being myself, because this is my life, I should not listen to them if they insult me for no good reason, I should feel confident as myself, as there is no use to be somebody else. I actually feel sad, as it didn't qualify, this is like one of the most underrated entry in the Eurovision history.
This is a beautiful song and such a beautiful women. I can't understand how it didn't reach the final stage. In my mind it should have won the contest or to the very least have finished in the top three. An awesome song, you can see the happiness, the belief in her eyes to the words she is singing.

This song was too good for the Eurovision. It's an incrdible little piece of pop and sung with guts and heart. Her vibrato is beautiful and, look at how she shines!

She was just a few points from qualifying. If it had been just up to the televoters she would´ve been 9th and qualified, but the juries put her on 11th place. Greece, Ukraine, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Georgia gave her 0 p.
@@Asa...S In the 2018 Grand Final if it had been up to the televoters Sweden would have been 23rd but the juries put Sweden on 2nd place thus making the top 10, so lets call it even..
she is amazing, it's absolutely ridiculous that this beautiful song didn't pass the semi-final. This should have won the esc with 400 points at least. Go Sweden, I wait so long for an esc in Stockholm!!! love, The Netherlands
This song may not have been nr 1 but could have easily been placed nr 5 in the final. I believe people take Sweden for granted at times and just assumes everyone will vote for them so individuals pass their vote to someone else. I feel sad for this girl for she is the only Swede, in the history of the competition, who hasn´t gone to the finals.

Jag har nog inte fattat förrän nu hur mäktig denna låten är och om sanningen skall fram så blir jag faktiskt lite tårögd av all denna känsla du förmedlar. Det är bara att inse - Du satte låten in i minsta detalj.
Handlar inte om hur bra eller mindre bra placering man får i ESC anser jag - jag anser de viktigaste är att man skickar ett bidrag man kan stå bakom. Sen dessa som vänder på kappan bara för man får en mindre bra placering är problemet. Jag själv är inget direkt Anna-fan - men tycker hon framförde detta väldigt bra

Alltså jag måste bara säga att jag blir så jävla arg på alla kärringar och gubbar som skriver hatkommentarer eller säga något i form av "Anna Bergendahl skämde ut Sverige". Till er säger jag bara: Gör det bättre själv för sjuttsingen, och skaffa er en bättre attityd för den delen. För Anna är eng ung och positiv tjej, fler borde ha den personlighet hon har.

+Msptomb Swedish people did like her, They/we voted for her. The problem is that too many children/teenagers are able to vote for songs in sweden. They always go by who is the prettiest or most well-known, or who is the cutest.

ESC - Spain. I´m from Sweden and no...did not like this song...or the song could have been nice but I don´t think it fits her. Beacuse it sounds like she is about to cry all the time :)
I love listening to this still 9 years on, its still in my opinion one of the best songs, i'm a Finn and putting any bias aside and judging pure talent and emotion this song is one of eurovisions better songs. She is an adorable girl with a great voice, hope sh'e doing well.
Give Anna Bergendahl the biggest appriciation for her performance in Eurovision 2010 -by asking her to perform in one of the middle acts of the three finals 2016?
Sweden competed in semifinal 2 in 2010, and got 62 p, and came in 11th. Ireland and Cyprys got 67 p and qualified, so it was just a few pointes that diffrentiated. It was the juries that decided that Sweden should end up in 11th place, if it had been up to just the televoters Sweden would have ended up in 9th place, and qualified, together with Lithuania, and Israel and Ireland would've been on places 12 and 13. But they were saved by the juries, and Sweden and Lithuania was out. If Sweden had competed in semifinal 1 instead, then 62 points would've been enough for an 8th place, and qualification.
