I hope a lot of people watch this video and understand people in poverty are not there for their own doing. There is a lot working against them from the moment they are born. It breaks my heart as a future teacher. I would love to get rid of the shame people throw on those who are impoverished. There should be more done, but so many people instead pretends the issue doesn't exist. Or that the issue is a consequence and people deserve to live that way. No one deserves to live with that much anxiety or fear for just wanting to feed their family.

This is a heartbreaking reality check.

British Columbia's treatment of women and children, particularly First Nation's women and children, is absolutely SHAMEFUL. Actually I would say I feel that way about Canada as a whole. We could do so much better, but instead we silently allow this to continue when only HALF of us bother to vote!!!!!
