The ruffle is exactly the opening I did all the time when I was 8 years old lol. I wanna to create a castle wall. It was impressive, until I realize one of my bishop was always stuck loll
I was thinking the same thing I also used to play this when I was a kid. Then I played with a group of kids on the chess team and they destroyed me so I never played it again. This was also before Nemsko was born
The clash of the cow and the ruffles is probably one of the most insane battles i've ever seen. Gotham might make a guess the elo episode out of this alone
3:16 In professional chess circles Nemo's move Qb3 is called "I don't want to win, I'm here just to participate". 7:20 Nemo:"I kind of like that for you"... Eval bar:"Don't listen to this woman Anna"
The ruffles is the opening is what me and my sister used to play each qnd and every time We used to set our pieces like the ruffles from the start itself 😂
The “ruffles” looks like it’s supposed to be a very quick attack kind of opening on the diagonals. The knights get robbed of their main development squares so the attacking tactics primarily use the bishops and queen. So the knights are meant to either trade for, or attack, the opponents light square complex pieces. The king doesn’t have a good way to castle and as such, the ruffles will always be worse in the endgame.
The so-called Ruffles is total bulls...right from the beginning Anna had a crushing chance by deflecting the white Queen from b3, then a sharp Queen check on d1 is looming, by means of Nc4, eg, inviting further tactics for black (e.g. Rb8 afterwards, pinning the bishop on b7, afterwards Knight on c4 can go berserk in the white camp, all if white Queen doesn't take it. She didn't see it though.
Anna has permanently destroyed any chance in the future of being sponsored by Ruffles potato chips. And by the way, back in the 1970s we referred to the 'waving' of the pawns as 'picket fence." So Nemo didn't invent anything; she took the 'picket fence' and renamed it 'ruffles."
you should have turned off the eval bar while showing the game .Then you should explain the game from you studio in the end of the video. We all will learn from the mistaked of the game.
I already played vs this opening a few times, first time it went xactly like this game , could not move anything and than i choose to destroy the pawn structure from the beginning and than you have many holes and oportunities ..In this case i think the cow was just not appropriate
Lmao kids in my chess club use the ruffles all the time lol and the cow was used by one my opponents thought it was pretty strong but my Italian defense is beast
This opening was already created and not invented and all the theory behind it since 1977 ,it is a playing style that runs deep that you and you don't understand also a piece of paper over ten years ago sets on my behalf to claim what I believed in since 1977 up til now to bring the full potential of my jbird
Frankly, while somewhat entertaining, that was horrible chess. Anna had the game in hand with her opening and then just gave it away. Credit to Nemo for taking advantage.
