Based on this, why are so many therapists convinced, no matter what the other signs, that the one and only cause for scap winging or dyskinesia in general is weakness of the serratus or shoulder girdle? We need to look deeper to find the real root cause, but some therapists seem to be automated in their diagnostic process and/or responses. I can strengthen all day and if I have a palsy or a motor issue, the exercises will only make the levator/trap/whatever else even more overworked, hence, more pain. Am I right? Thanks for the vids!
I agree. I have unilateral scapular winging and have found my serratus isnt weak anymore but I still have dyskinesia. I am slightly scolitic and am fixing a lot of stability muscles as well as an issue with my foot, same foot, same arm. Coinsidence? I think not.
