Beautiful, great job. Not liking the comments here, are you all professional opera singers? if so why are you not on the stage/ Gove credit where its due. She is not lazy she is a relaxed singer, which is excellent technique. She sang this beautifully and if you can do better let's see you up there, so till then stop criticizing and saying things you know nothing about.
I really understand what it means being at the stage singing, do you know? Ok, then, why are you talking about her singing, technically speaking? If you know and can describe why you are saying she is technically great. I'm a humble poor Spanish guy who wants to know, why you are saying that she is great technically speaking. Describe why?
Absolutely... opera is dead, and it's dead, because people like you, who don't know what it is, who don't know nothing about music. Switch to English now, you don't know anything about opera. How can you say that she sings beautiful.
This is why opera is dead. How can anyone compare Netrebko, with all the ladies you are mentioning. I do admit that you can say... Netrebko is my favourite soprano ever, I do admit that from you, but compared the sopranos you are mentioning with Netrebko....listen,I don't know if you know something about music- which I doubt- but on the days of Callas, Caballé, Sutherland, Tebaldi, Price, etc. This lady, whom you might love, and has nothing to say about this, will be part of the chorus. You like it....nothing to say, but, that's it. Otherwise, explain to me, which are your musical arguments for saying this.
Wow you are my hero, you just talk about the scenography. Not the singing, at least you give an opinion that I might like it or not, but you don't talk about singing. Great for you!!!!!!

Netrebko was once asked why she got down on her back and let her hair hang into the orchestra pit during the singing of a famous bel canto aria. The reporter said, "Joan Sutherland never did that." Netrebko's response? "She didn't have to." Enough said.
Avez-vous vu l'opera entiere? C'etait magnifique!
@@detectivefiction3701 he is 100% right. Mostly is caused by their ignorance. For example they study only the history of their own country. They took ignorance to another level
Well, not all of them, in Europe we have people that don't know nothing about music. No problem at all, they have just to keep their poor knowledge quiet.
Purtroppo, a me non piace.
Well, there is much to admire here. I think some of us wish she had not pushed into heavier rep because the voice stiffened and seems to have become much thicker in sound than in the earlier part of her career. Her Aida at the Met was pretty bad-serious intonation problems and excessive vibrato. The music business definitely pushes singers towards heavier parts as they age. It is not always a good idea.
It’s not laziness, it’s physical inability. That is because it’s not her fach, she has no coloratura ability. You either have it or you don’t, it’s the way the chords are formed. She should never be cast in roles such as this. She simply was not born with the coloratura flexibility to carry it out.
Tsunade3Sannin Her technique is her own and doesn't allow her to do much in terms of coloratura and subtle nuances, but her sound and resonance are still lovely and unique, plus you don't keep a career going for 20+ years, touring the world, singing any and everything, if you have an awful technique. It works for her so that's good. If you want to address bad technique, Dessay is a good example of what happens when you really have bad technique - your voice literally breaks, after a few years (vs. Sumi Jo who's been singing like a bird for 30 years, Dessay showed issues "quickly"). Plus at the end of the day Netrebko still sounds better than a lot of these new singers we have out there. Her high notes are (surprisingly) extremely round and pleasant to hear.
Camille Greffe Camille Greffe I do not think you understand very much about operatic technique, the fach system or voice type, or the stylistic aspects of different eras of music. Netrebko should stick to singing Puccini. Her voice is just ill suited to this repertoire period. She clunks and clatters through her slow flourishes which is completely unacceptable for this style of music. It just sounds bad. Sit down and listen to Joan Sutherland, Lucia Pop, or Montserrat Caballé sing this aria. Netrebko just does not have the vocal flexibility to carry it off and it just sounds terrible. It’s got nothing to do with her technique.
Even a non live performance, she cant deal with that. She has no fault at all, she's making money out of it. I font have to go to the big names, Callas, Caballé, Tebaldi, Sutherland, etc. Not on this role ok, just talking. Hear Edita Gruverobå singing this and you will know what im talking about.
That is because it’s not her fach, she has no coloratura ability. You either have it or you don’t, it’s the way the chords are formed. She should never be cast in roles such as this.
Everyone has to respect, someone who put herself or himself in front of an audience. By saying this i also have to say that-and I really don't know way- comparing all the old ones to all the new ones whom just have to listen and learned from the old old ones and they dont or they dont fucking care, because nobody cares about music today, and fucking lean how yo sing. What is she? Is she a messo, a... Well i dont really care. It is a shame, but opera is dead.
People at the MET, how about you pay less attention to the clothes and more attention to who you cast as Lucia? If I had paid 200 dollars for a seat that night, I would have asked for ear plugs and my money back!
@@laurademilio4475 dear Laura, I really don't care if 500.000 or one billion applaud her. This only give me and re-enforced me, the idea of how deep in the sewers the knowledge of excellency, excellency, has gone. Knowing how difficult is to sing, an artist has to respect the audience, and you might have lots of bad nights, but she is a very poor singer. Common...you really know something about opera and singing?
non ha assolutamente niente di lucia!!! ne la voce,ne una buona tecnica,ne il fraseggio,ne il carattere non basta fare le note per cantare......lucia si canta cosi.....ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EfM3MBSz7LE.html has absolutely nothing lucia !!! nor the voice, nor a good technique, nor the phrasing, nor the character it is not enough to make the notes to sing ...... Lucia sings like that ....
