There's nothing controversial about this. She deserved every bit of the victory. She worked as hard as the rest or even more. Others couldn't just accept her victory. Her opponents won the eyes of some people but Anna won the eyes and the hearts of the judges and audiences. She has nothing to prove to other, because she already did many times. And that's a fact. Move on...!!!

When Michael Jordan played with a fever he’s celebrated. When Hanyu skated with injuries at the Olympics he’s a hero. I’m a fan of both but I wish there’s less bias. Some people still think these athletes are made to do things against their wills in this day and age. Teenagers are stubborn everywhere in the world.

Lol when Yuzuru Hanyu ignores his head/leg/ankle injuries and asthma and still demands to skate it's called heroic, and when he succeeds it's miraculous but when Anna does it it's controversial. Hypocrisy at its best

Yeah… there’s a big difference between Yuzurus coaching staff as well.. and Anna’s. 😳 they are also widely different ages. 😂

I am an athlete and performer and If I was in her shoes I would have done the same. Professional athletes work their butts off to get to this level and will do anything to persevere. Russian ladies skating is so deep that there is always fear of being surpassed. She pushed through and she conquered and I think her determination is utterly marvelous. Yes she’s a minor but she’s 17 and wanted to deliver and she did.

That’s not the main issue tho. If she did use doping, then she doesn’t deserve the title. I love her, but it’s not the same story as in why u said. Someone can’t physically get better in a couple of days like that.
@catears2379
@catears2379 2 года назад
@@sebastianenjcb193 Actually it is possible. As a former athlete I can say that adrenaline works in that situations. When you really need to perform you'll do it, you will pay for that later. I remember people taking part in european championships with broken bones. The girl just took of her arm plaster, performed and than went to the medic office. For the entire performance she was smiling, she went out of the stage smiling and almost fainted in the way to the medics point.

When you are truly or deeply in love of something or somebody, you will understand her feeling. You don’t want to miss the chance of showing yourself if your capacity and strength still allow you, and most importantly when you want to defend the title that you and your coaching team are the best. Fight to the end. I remembered seeing many athletes does the same things because of their love for it. For example, Jordan competed with high fever, Yuzuru skated with blood on his head and chin etc…Yes, they know they could spoil their health but most importantly they didn’t want to have a sense of regret if they didn’t do it. Injury and health problems always happen to professional athletes. Personally, I both worry, love and admire them. Pride of the country to have those athletes.

The fact that these young athletes are being pushed to this extent is the controversial part. They work them to the bone and once their improper training finally catches up to them, they're overcome with injuries and have to retire at such atrociously young age. And once their body gives out on them, they're forgotten about. They're treating children like objects and not thinking about their health nor their longevity in this career.

In 2019 Anastasia Shabotova said that "doping to skate consistently" was the secret from Tutberidze skaters. She was practically banned from competing for her own country for saying such thing, had to switch to Ukraine and leave her home. That tells you everything. This has been going for a while now.

Drug use during the free skate. She could barely breath during the short programme.

That and the fact that not only 2 or 3 weeks later she’s skating for Alina’s team for channel 1 Russian cup, and she didn’t perform the greatest and she came off the ice exhausted after the free skate. She needs to not skate at worlds. Her coaches need to step up. But knowing the history of Eteri and her team they don’t care about the athletes health and will push them to the brink. I don’t want that to happen to Anna since she’s such a great skater.
