Annabella, I just watched Snow Walker (today, 6 June, 2022). I was riveted to the screen just so I could watch your character. I cried for your character at the end. You did an awesome job portraying your character. I hope you go far in your career.
I just watched "Snow Walker" on RU-vid and was extremely sadden when Annabella Piugattuk playing Kanaalaq didn't make it after all she did to survive with Charlie in the wilderness. She was so sensitive, caring, quiet and so serene. I don't believe anyone could have played this part as well as she did. I really wanted her to survive along with Charlie!
Oscar worthy indeed! You are one of the most authentic actresses. Farley Mowat must have been so proud of how you captured this character. Just amazing! My daughter was just 4 months old when I watched this movie for the first time and I watched it with her when she turned 20. We were in awe of your performance. We would love to see you act in other films. You are a STAR!
You were amazing in the Snow Walker....I just watched it. You made me cry. I had to look up your real name just to make sure you are ok. You are fine...I can sleep now. The movie would have been 1,000,000 times better had your character lived.
I watched Snow Walker more than 10 years ago and really wanted to watch it again but couldn't recall the title or the name of actors... only recently I recognized the face of an actor who played Charlie and am very glad that I got to watch Snow White again just now. I remember having moved to tears by the character played by Annabella the last time and I'm just as moved this time around.. what a powerful and beautiful movie...hope we will see Annabella again.
I just wanted to share that your performance in the snow walker was oscar worthy. I grew up in labrador, and while I wasn't around native people a lot, I have always loved your culture.
Annabella, you were superb in the movie Snow Walker that I just watched. Not your character but YOU. I just don't understand why you have not been casted in motion pictures thereafter to demonstrate your God (Spirit) skills in acting. That has been our (the movie goers) loss. Thank you for being in that film and for the two hours of joy I had watching. Hope to see you again.
oh my god. I've watched the snow walker 10 years ago n tonight I watched it again.your performance your character is just so lovely. I even cried again after 10 years in those scenes .I love you you're amazing
Her character is Snow Walker was a very moving character. I just saw the movie a week ago and immediately found a dvd and purchased it. I love wilderness movies. I wish her character didn't die in the movie.
12 hours ago I watched an incomplete version of your film , I must now find and buy the DVD. As a child I read a book ( Frozen Fire ) about two children who got lost in the Arctic one Inuit one white boy a remarkable story of survival , the tale changed me , left me with a profound respect for your people. This film has done the same I’m now obsessed to find a UK version to see the missing hour , it seems you didn’t act in the movie but lived it ! Captivating , beautiful , moving.
I just watched 'The Snow Walker'. Annabella has the talent of a fine actor and the attributes of a lovely person. I hope to see another production featuring her one day.
I've just finished watching The Snow Walker and i have to say, i loved it, with absolutely stunning scenery, you were awesome in that movie, Great Job!
I watched Snow Walker and watched it again until I fell asleep. Whenever I missed the feeling of the nature, I'd put Snow Walker on and I'd be lost in my own world, just happy to feel as if I'm there. The part where Kanela goes missing and Charlie realizes she's gone had me wishing Kanela was still around. Then one day my neighbor asked if she could borrow it. What as sad mistake. Of course it went missing but thanks to streaming TV I now can watch it again.
What a beautiful person and wonderful actress you are! I would go see any movie in which you are cast. Wishing you many great opportunities in your career!
I didn't know The Snow Walker was that old.. I just watched in early 2023 ans i cryed like a baby having the blues really deep in my heart. I'm sad she has not made more movies..
Beautiful and talent we (nor myself) do not see much of anymore. I wish to see you have great success and future. I am certainly hoping the best for you. I believe you deserve it.
Just saw "The Snow Walker" just now. I've never heard of your people. I am from the USA and we never studied Canadian history, so it was a blessing to know about Inuits. You need to do more films. You're an excellent actress. Looking forward to seeing more of inuit films.
I saw your performance in Snow Walker and was thrilled. Such a great movie. Unfortunately I believe that was the only movie you've worked in. I don't know if you chose not to pursue your career any further or producers and directors just didn't give you any more opportunities but you really should have done more movies. Hope you do another soon. :)
Like many others here, i was very moved by your performance in The Snow Walker. The warmth, depth in simplicity and honesty you gave to the character was of such beauty. All the best Annabella, and Thank You for your beautiful art.
I just recently found "The Snow Walker" movie. Annabella, a fine job. I think this movie could be rereleased. I was surprised how good it was. Be proud of yourself.
I just watched the Snow Walker and you were great Annabella! Your character is so pure and selfless. I ordered a DVD immediately after watching. I wish you the best in life!

Annabella, hi. I hope you are doing well. Thank you for the emotions presented. The film with your participation is one of the best in my collection. And your character is the search of my whole life. I myself have lived in the north for a long time. Thank you again and greetings from Russia.
She is gorgeous and I wish, as many other men do, that she was mine. I wish she would have been in a few more dynamic films like the Snow Walker...she is the most beautiful actress I ever saw...wow, her smile makes me weak in the knees. The man who has her is very glad to have her! Lovely Piugattuck! wl
Watch Snow Walker tonight, has been a few years since I last watched it -- a special performance for sure. Good to see that amazing smile and expressions are still there.
I just watched Snow Walker. Beautiful emotional movie. This movie was breathtaking. I felt so close to God. ~ I was sad your character succumbed to her illness. ~ You are beatiful person. ~

Hello Annabella. I just watched ''The Snow Walker''. You were so good in that movie. Great smile too! Have a wonderful day. (Joseph Leo DeCelle, Viking fantasy/fiction author and poet).
Just finished watching "The Snow Walker" and your performance was amazing. In the movie, why did not you stay with your brother until the end, he would have taken you to the hospital and made sure you were treated properly for your sickness? Where did you go leaving your brother alone in the middle of the night? I need to know.
It would help if you read the original Farley Mowat short story. From the beginning the pilot character sees her for the first time, it's explained that her tuberculosis is way too advanced and that her character is doomed.
Of course I as many have come here after watching The snow walker and like many fell in love with the character you played. While this youtube upload has nothing to do with that movie, it appears to be a screen test for another. That being said as a viewer I was lost trying to distinguish the character you were playing. I don't think it was lack of your acting ability as I've seen what you are capable of, rather direction. I do hope to see you again in future projects. I am surprised that as a Canadian project the snow walker and your role didn't win a genie. Well Annabelle just wanted to say I enjoyed the roll you played and the snow walker was a very good film. Hope you do get a chance to read this. I wish you all the best
Truthfully, I think there were parts of the movie that didn't make sense to me. Charlie walking south and leaving the wrecked plane I don't think would have happened, and a few other things as well, but the dialog, and character development and interaction were excellent.
The Snow Walker was great and she was so awesome in it. I'm surprised she didn't do more after this movie. People in Canada have never treated the Inuit with any respect so it's no wonder they shunned her from future movies.
I want to watch the movie again but I don't dare... I don't think my heart can be hurt again by the character's passing. This whole universe is running under certain rule, but love is the only thing that override the universe and distinguish human (or creatures).
