@@1fromoutside Yes, we're spoiled yet we still aren't satisfied. Billionaires are racing to go to other planets. I'm happy to live in this era, no war (atleast not yet) There is a pandemic, but thankfully it isn't as bad as the last one. We should be thankful instead.

I can't hold my tears looking at all of these pictures... I see a little child with the sweetest smile on her lips ready to discover the world... It hurts so much to see her so happy in the pictures with school uniform, so innocent .:. If I had a chance to go back in time, I would go there and hug her very tight and tell her that she's save, and everything is alright, that none will dare to take a life of such a brave little girl... I don't know what am I even writing, so many emotions... I hate war, I hate how some were that heartless to take her life ... Rest in peace Anne Frank! You will stay in our hearts forever!

Although her life was short and tragic, she fulfilled her mission. Had she been released before her untimely demise, the world would not have such a monumental document that shed light on one of the most tragic events in human history. Her energy was set free in 1945 and there's no doubt that it's alive and well today.

I've visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam some years ago. It was one of the most meaningful places to visit. I liked that the Anne Frank House was featured in the film, "The Fault in Our Stars". "The Diary of Anne Frank" was one of my favorite books to read. I also share the same birthday as Anne Frank - June 12th. I related to her because she had a passion for writing and journaling. Her death was a tragedy. What happened to many of the people she knew & loved was an inhumane injustice. She died at such a young age. I also think of other people who died young - Joan of Arc at age 19, the female basketball player & student - Lauryn Hill who died at age 19 this past week. I feel deep sympathy, empathy, and sadness for all those who died young who never had the chance to get married, have kids, have romances & relationships, etc. Right now, I've reached a point in my life where I'm kind of tired of hearing or reading stuff from some people aged 50 & above complaining about their love lives, relationships, & lives, when there have been many people who have died at very young ages due to war or medical issues. Those people aged 50 and above don't realize how lucky they were to have experienced marriage, to have had kids, grandkids, to still be alive & functioning well at age 50. They should look at all the positives they have in their lives instead of feeling sorry for themselves about their love lives. Many young people never got to experience love, romance, or any romantic relationship, period, before they died. I would like to believe that individuals who died young, such as Anne Frank, will be reincarnated again on Earth so that they could have a chance to live again with a complete happy life instead of having had to deal with tragedies at such a young age, and dying so young. I'm thinking about all the young people in war-torn countries right now. If some people have been married, had kids, gone through divorces, etc. by the age of 50 and are still living at age 50 and above, then it's hard for me to feel sympathy for them complaining about their love lives, etc. There are many people who have medical issues who have never been married or had kids. There are many people who haven't been married or haven't been through divorce because war, discrimination, medical issues, & other hardships got in their way. There are many people who don't have grandkids. There are many people who won't live up to the age of 50. So, for me, I'm going to understandably have more empathy, sympathy, & compassion for those who have never been married, never had kids, never had grandkids, never have never gone through divorce, those who have medical issues, or those who have gone through other hardships in life - like living through war and living in war-torn areas, and being discriminated against for being "different" than their oppressors. I just find myself relating to people like Anne Frank more & more. When I hear some people complain about some things going on in their lives, they don't realize that they didn't go through some of the really hard & difficult stuff some other people have gone through. People like Anne Frank. So, yeah, last year & this year, I've been finding myself taking a step back and looking at some people who are complaining about life and things, and then I realize that I didn't have many things in common with them. To me, when I see, hear, and read what's going on in their lives, their lives honestly aren't as bad as they're making it out to be, and their lives are not as bad as what some other people are experiencing and dealing with right now on this planet. That's the lesson you learn from people who have died young through hardships such as war, being murdered, or dying due to medical issues - such as Joan of Arc, Anne Frank, and Lauryn Hill, respectively. JMO. Thanks for sharing your nice video. Anne Frank's diary touched many people's hearts & minds across the world. I can only imagine all the great things she would have done & accomplished if she lived longer in this world.

I read the unedited version of her diary (in Dutch as well, so it's exactly what she wrote except some words are changed to make it more understandable for people who live during this time). It's a really amazing story and she really did have potential to become a writer. It was not a exciting book because it was never meant to be, it's just the diary of a young teen who is forced to live with her family and some strangers in a small area. You almost expect some indication near the end of her family and friends being close to being captured because that's what we are used to with books. Of course, they had no idea they would be captured so the diary just ends with some explanation added at the end of how Anne and the other people (except for her father) there died and what happened afterwards.

I read "The Diary of Anne Frank" in my 8th grade English class in 1964, ironically when I was 13. Her life story is an example of how God ordains prophetic providence to be preserved in the spirit of innocence for future generations. I am now 70 years old and still learning from young vulnerable people like Anne. I pray that our generation is preserving "lessons learned" from this even more volatile time in Earth's history!

It’s so hard to grasp at the fact that the Franks seemed like such a normal family and that they look like your next door neighbor. Anne was that girl you see down the road and all of a sudden they were taken away, tortured, abused by evil people. Like how could humans be that cruel? They did not deserve such treatment. Anne and Margot especially. I can’t imagine my nephews and nieces going through that.

I agree, I can only imagine what a girl like that would have accomplished had she been as fortunate as her father. A Diary/Journal is a very powerful thing that unlocks yourself to yourself and makes you a better person for it.

The fact that they were betrayed toward the end of the war was no accident. Whoever did it knew that this was the one last chance to get reward money for turning in Jews.

Oh child, my sweet child. I found this book at 13, the same age as Anne when she wrote it, and our emotions synced so deeply (obviously, I was still not as mature as her). Now I am 19, I have grown 6 years- and I will grow older while Anne forever will remain a child. And I will start seeing her as a child than someone I relate too, a sweet and pure soul not even the wars and genocide could break.

In none of the Anne Frank films that I have seen have they cast an actress who looks like Anne Frank, beauty standards suck, already exceed too much. Her eyes were not blue and that also made them beautiful, it gave her a captivating look, her nose was not small but it gave her a beautiful feature on her face and her smile, well no one can forget that sweet, sweet smile.

Dear Beautiful Anne, you live on… You are not forgotten and you did change the world with your writing! Your Diary is the most read book only after the Bible. You were a wonderful writer and no doubt you would have continued to express yourself in your gift. My heart thinks of you and your family and the millions of Jewish people who were murdered. To all the victims of the Holocaust no matter what nationality you are not forgotten. RIP

The family had the opportunity to take some of their belongings when they were taken to the camp. After watching the film depicting how important the diary was to her I wonder if Anne already knew that she might not be returning and left the diary so the memory of her and her family would live on. Anne Franks life tells of the awful deeds that can stem from racism. Especially at the times that propaganda points the finger at certain groups of people for various problems.
