Frances Caraballo Even if shes wrong she still had the power to believe that even with the fate of her and her family. Theres not many people in this world that are that powerful.
It’s sad that her mother got torn from the family as well as her dad. Especially because she her sister Margot, the only member of the family who was there to comfort either burkansaw or achwitze. Of course there’s many other concentration camps, but those are the magic ones I heard about in her diary. If you don’t know Margot dies In one of the concentration camps. Soon after Anne died too. They fired because of a pandemic in the camp.
Lea Mijatovic I really like Harry Potter but you’re definitely right. Anne Franks diary is so historical. She was so cute and seemed to be so nice. Rest In Peace.
White Diamond I'm happy that you've read Anne Frank's diary and learned more about the stuff people went through during the Holocaust. Also, I'm a huge Steven Universe fan!
she was cut like a flower before she had the chance to bloom fully and as a journalist or writer would have told us many interesting stories, had she lived to a ripe old age. R.I.P. Anne
No, let me explain. Anne’s unedited diary (The Critical Edition) most often referred to version a, is written by Anne. However, there’s version b which most people have. It’s not “written” by her father per say, but it is strongly edited by her father, and Anne. Now, I noticed you said “it’s all fake”. Do you mean it’s all a myth? If so, you’re wrong. There’s little evidence on that.
I was lucky enough to visit the house three years ago. It's one of the most chilling experiences in my life, I cried the whole way through. You couldn't help but feel a presence there. God bless Amsterdam and this relic of history 💖
As i child i lived in Frankfurt Germany my parents took me to visit this home it still haunts me to this day. Sad and breaks my heart all that people experienced in the holocaust
This young lady’s story still makes me so sad to this day. To know she was so close to liberation, so close to be being who she dreamed of being. What a loss.
My wife and I had the opportunity of visiting Anne Frank's home in Amsterdam last year 2018. It's everything and more because of the history in that home.
I wish we could turn bk hands of time and saved them all. Anne Frank was brave intel the very last day she passed away. she was beautiful child. shes with the lord know at peace and helping out still with the her being so brave the children today will stay strong just like anne frank. god bless.
I live in Holland and i remember going with my class when I was 13. Normally my class was verry loud. But the moment we really went in the house where Anne has been for a long time everybody went quiet and sometimes we said something but we said it really quiet. And when we got outside we all still were quiet. We all know her story and we seen many pictures but it doesn’t matter how many times you heard it, it still makes you quiet
@@neveanna13 after reading her diary I felt so bad for jews . Although i do not know much english So i just watch a movie of anne frank . And one thing that break me was anne frank statement regret is more powerful than gratitude . And i feel this ... I do not know who reads this but i write this to put it down .
I first visited the house in 1986 and it was a completely different tour it felt much less touristy and it was given by a tour there weren’t any screen monitors and there wasn’t the new visitors center. Of course there were a lot less people, coming to see the house back then. It was much more personalized. We actually went up the staircase behind the bookcase. There weren’t any lines back then.
“I don’t want to have lived in vain like most people. I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death!” ~ Anne Frank
I remember as a kid in school reading Anne Frank's diary to watching the movie and I had hope Anne and her family would make it out alive but when I found out the truth I cried. I felt the sorrow of a little girl in hiding in isolation in fear but she still kept her hope.
Anne sure left a mark in this life in her short time ... It’s so sad she had to see the ugly side of human nature, but she sure stayed positive and never stopped believing in good ... I hope you’re in paradise Anne !
You're actually not allowed to photograph or film in the house, but you should definitely visit in person! I went last summer and it was an amazing experience
Our house in Germany had the same hidden doorway! My grandmother was from Frankfurt. It was well learned at school that tanners where from Jewish origin. I was brought up protestant learned that jewish tanner story. But never thought about that we our family would have been Jewish in former times. I even have had that inner question where is the jew in our family since I was a little girl.
The background music makes me cry... I feel creepy.... I just read a part of her diary in my school textbook.... I am feeling connected with her... As if I myself is Anneliese Frank..
Her diary resembles the feelings of a teenager and I cannot put down . If she hasn't passed away we could still have more literary items .RIP Anne Frank
A tip to avoid long lines : buy your ticket online, reserve for a specific entry time and you can walk right in (it's a seperate entrance door near the long waiting line entrance, just ask at the door)
In India, The Dairy of a Young Girl is in our syllabus of class X , so no need to take extra time for it. :) , may she rest in peace , her dairy is a masterpiece for any person to understand how deep mind can be of a teenager still many people ignore us.:(
It’s so awful what happened to Anne and all those other people during the holocaust. A crime against humanity. Anne would’ve grown up to be such an amazing woman, she was so smart and seemed like a very nice and genuine person, it’s a shame she and so many others will never get to grow up and live a beautiful life. Rest In Peace, Anne ❤️
I went there. I can't describe the feeling man it was just ahh amazing and chilling. Soooo worth it. It will always be one of the best experiences of my life. I hope I visit again.
Visited and it was awesome. Just a FYI- if your traveling with very small children toddler to under 5. Parents you can purchase 2 tickets online or at the gate together. However, I would Not recommend taking small kiddies inside. One parent can watch the kids in the cafe that’s attached to the building while the other visits. And when mom or dad is finished mom or dad can have access to the front without waiting in long lines. Just show ticket with a special stamp. I witnessed lots of moms n dads that wanted to visit Anne’s house. Makes sense. We visited we had no kids but a couple had a small child that screamed wanted out and his parents refused. This packing Frank house house is emotional for lots of visitors. This isn’t a museum for small toddlers because space is so tight with so many visitors. It was beautiful and seeing Actress Shelly Winters Oscar at the end before the cafe entrance🎂☺️
I fully agree. Once I went to Westerbork where a lecture was being held by a survivor. Sometimes I couldn't hear what she said and it was difficult to concentrate because right behind me there were a small child screaming and crying the whole time. That kind of egotistical parents I really despize, there is no fun for small children whatsoever when you visit these kind of places and you ruin other people's experience.
People who actually went there Get this done sort of feeling when they first step in which is what I heard from my uncle. Anne Frank is someone we all somehow look up to and wish we had personally met. I'm not trying to be rude so please no hate =^=
Anne supposedly died in a camp from disease but her criminal father escaped capture! That's a story by itself. A man on the run from prosecution for financial crimes the likes of which bankrupted Germany under the Wiemar government, evades law enforcement but falls to shelter his family from arrest. Then he writes a diary in ball point pen and sells it to a world full of dupes roped in by emotion that is generated by fraud. It makes sense because he was about to go on trial for bank fraud.
@@kevinchurch5934 They had ball point pens back in the time she wrote the diary, they were not common yes, but they still existed so stop polluting this video with your lack of knowledge.
Not in Europe idiot. Argentina is not in Europe, moron! Ball point pens weren't sold in Europe for years afterwards. And even in Argentina they were just underway and not in widespread use. This is the equivalent of saying that people in Africa were driving cars the same year that Ford rolled out the very first Model-T. You're an idiot with a child's mind, so you throw infantile tantrums because you want to believe a fairy tale.
@@kevinchurch5934 There was a thing as airplanes back then and shipping routs people sold goods using both methods remember Otto was a business man I am sure he had connections with many well to do people that would have access to a f-ing ball point f-ing pen.
According to the most reliable source, it was a a man called Willem van Maaren. He died in 1979, I believe, without being convinced. Though there’s also evidence to support the guilt of a woman named Ans van Dijk who was known for betraying Jewish families. She died in 1948.
@@Emilie13love well, before jumping on the hate bandwagon I dont know what was going on then cuz i wasn't there and I dont know what kind of pressure the traitor was under
@@Emilie13love oh no. What I meant was im not going to say" Willem van Maaren, rot in hell you nazi bitch" cuz i really don't know what was going on back then
@@devilslettuce8264 Ironic, as you just said “you’re grammar.” You’re is a contraction of “you” and “are” meaning that you just said “you are grammar.” The original commenters grammar is far better than yours, so kindly shut up.
Before you pay a fee... (Think)...Anne frank l'm sure would rather you give your money to a worthy charity. If you're still inclined? Then honour her by going home and teaching you're children and grandchildren hatred has no place in society.
This makes no sense. You can support charities and visit a place that holds so much importance and teaching. The fee doesn’t just go into people’s pockets, it’s a fee to keep the home open and operating for tours. This is not an amusement park, it’s a learning experience for people all over the world. Silly to make such a statement. Please encourage people to go visit this historical place and read Anne’s book to remind people what hatred can do, but also love.
I'm reading 'The diary of a young girl' right now.And I just can't describe the emotion that I m feeling now. It's just beyond everything everything.......
My grandma went here when I was a child and I remember her coming back and us watching Anne Frank together and after she showed me the pictures and talked about it. She cried while teaching me about it and how weird and uncomfortable she felt behind the bookshelf where they stayed. She described it as having no air. I remember it so clearly and it was 15 years ago.
I visited when I was 17 in 1976, the summer of a terrible drought across Europe. There were no lines. In fact, my boyfriend (now husband) and I were the only ones there. He finished up pretty quickly and waited outside. I had read Anne's diary seven times by then, and was tearfully trembling that I had finally made it there on my after-school, $3.00/hr job with no help from my parents. I climbed the ladder to her attic and immersed myself in how it felt to be there. No pushy tourists. No tech voices. Just me in Anne's family's empty house. I've been to 35 countries since that "no tourists" summer, sometimes 6 months out of the year, but nothing compares to that half day exploring Anne's house ALONE.
I recently visited the Anne Frank Huis on 07 May, 2019 and I took photographs with my cellphone. I know I disrespected the rules there, but to be honest, capturing memories in my device of the time I spent there is more important to me than the rules.
@@elephantal its my dream to visit this house of Anne Frank. This video only sparks my curiosity more and i dont blame you for capturing memories because I would want to do the same!!!
@@rachelwyatt6030 Make sure you check that off your bucket list as soon as you can. I still remember waiting outside the Anne Frank Huis, along with the others, to get inside at the time slot allotted to me and thinking if at all this girl had any idea while she was so unassumingly, innocently 'diaring' her experiences that someday, people from far-flung corners of this world would be flocking in to vicariously experience her life and the terror that she endured in her teenage years of constant threat and horror of holocaust. I believe that even the best of my words would fail to describe how I felt upon stepping inside the House. If you like, we can connect on Facebook so as to share our experiences and aspirations. Good day to you , Rachael. It's 1011 hours here in New Delhi, India as I write this message to you, having arrived at just around 10 minutes at my work desk on a Monday morning.
I went to amsterdam on March 2019 and the most disappointing thing is I never get to see this because my parents originally wanted to plan on going there but then they cancelled it and back then I didnt even know who Anne Frank was and I’m hoping to go back to Amsterdam too see this after covid ends
Since I read her book and then watched the movie I was really intrigued and wished one day to visit. Finally in 2019 after hosting an exchange student from Germany that stayed at my house in California, I visited Amsterdam and had the opportunity to visit this place. So many thoughts came to my mind while walking through the hideout place. It was definitely a wish come true. The people in Amsterdam are so nice. I had a magnificent time. I did buy my tickets online a month in advance and when I went in June there was not that big of a line, perhaps because it was drizzly during that time.
Thanks for that. There are many interesting documents, of course, but one of the most interesting (and chilling) is the actual train selection list seen in the background at 2:43 (yellow sheet), listing the entire Frank family in alphabetical order. Anne is number 308 on the list, I believe. Out of 1019 total. They were on the very last train that left from Westerbork to Auschwitz.
I don’t believe in a god. A higher power yes. But not a god that cares about humans or this planet. How could you? They literally almost survived and by an inch the entire family was starved and murdered…
“As I've told you many times, I'm split in two. One side contains my exuberant cheerfulness, my flippancy, my joy in life and, above all, my ability to appreciate the lighter side of things. -Anne Frank's final words in the book/diary
I love her writings qoutes and I am amazed. She write with a heart and such a pure. She has a purpose and it brings out to the world. She documented the happenings during ww2 and Adolf hitler died after her just about a month. Her story captures my heart, what a beautiful person she is. Condolences for them and a huge respect.
I read the Diary of Anne Frank many years ago.And now there is a movie. Anna Frank was such an amazing young lady. It was only her father, Otto Frank who survived. He kept her daughter's Diary for a very long time. Then, went on to publish the book . Anna was an amazing young lady. May God bless her and all the people who were with her🌹🌹
We did Anne Frank as a play that was over many days for ELA (English language arts) and today was the last 2 scenes and it truly was beautiful and a learning experience of what they had to go through.
Thanks for posting. I was lucky to visit the house 2 years ago and there in the gift shop I bought the book and I finally read it now. I didn't really remember the way the house looked anymore, and I wanted to refresh it in my mind now that I've read it.
ive been there.i walked past the book case & up those stairs. seen her diary.& the tiny room's they hid in. even as a kid it was a very harrowing expierience
After months online, I finally getting a booking. It was super early. 8.00am or earlier..we were the first ones in..virtually had the place to ourselves. Funnily enough I came away with an immense feeling that the people who risked their lives to feed and keep the families informed in the attic....were true heroes...
I visited the house in 2012 but what was also very strange was that I was with my granddaughter to get her drivers license and in line in front of us there was a couple and I was talking to my granddaughter about Amsterdam and this man started telling me that he had gone to school with Anne Frank and had lived right down the street from her house. He did not want to talk much about it but I thought it was interesting that somebody remembered being in school with her
