Norwescon 16 Guest of Honor Anne McCaffrey was unable to travel to the convention. She graciously allowed several of our concom members to visit her at her home in Ireland and tape interviews, greetings, and readings.

These tele-interviews at NWC 16 were my first exposure to Dragonriders, and after this was aired in the Grand ballroom I went to the dealers room and bought "The Dragonriders Guide To Pern", to be followed with everyone of her books and almost everything she wrote.
