I want to add something to Rice's second answer to the question from the crowd, roughly "is Louis lying about Lestat?". This seems a ridiculous thing to do, but I have asked the same question and built for myself an answer based on the character of Lestat. I just want to expand on Rice's answer, though it is of course entirely my opinion, and could be wrong. Lestat rarely says what he is actually thinking. He may be loving you in his mind, but cold with his speech. He most often expresses his love physically, not vocally. The others who can read his thoughts, and so easily observe his true being, almost always fall in love with him, almost immediately. Louis has no insight into the mind of Lestat, never once a single glimpse. He has his preconceived notions of good and evil. And he believes with all his heart the he is evil, and that Lestat is the ultimate evil. We all know that the words and actions of the vampire Lestat, without a glimpse into his mind, can seem brash and excessive. And to a being such as Louis-- a kind, loving, tortured, and perhaps a little self-centred being-- that excessive brashness must seem infinitely more 'monstrous' and 'evil'. So I think that Louis wasn't lying so much as he just didn't understand-- couldn't understand. It's also worth mentioning that, as humans (and not ones that he particularly loves), we would most likely see Lestat in the exact same light that Louis saw him in. I love Lestat, but I would probably try to avoid him IRL, if only because I'm me and not someone else.
I used to ask myself the same thing, even thinking Lestat had fabricated much of his autobiography; then I thought that if the events were true (in a fictional series, of course), it makes sense that the cruel Lestat is the only one Louis & Claudia would know, taking out his frustrations from his former life on those closest to him (the treatment of his dying father, for instance, because he'd taken him out of school & had his brothers drag him back home when he ran away). I was told once in high school by a teacher that I'd be a good therapist, so all of that seems natural to me; you see it all the time in the real world, especially with school bullies (chances are, they come from a broken home with at least 1 abusive parent & want to feel in control of something, hence they pick on those smaller/weaker than they are).
Can anyone Tell me about the Blood Spouse, in the Prince Lestat cuz Anne Rice said something about a possible Marriage of Lestat and Louis, I've haven't read the book yet but I have to know.?

not true at all! king Enkil wasn't gay! Mael wasn't gay! You seem to miss the obvious fact that none of them are gay nor straight! There is no question of sexual preference because there is no question of sexuality in the same way we, as human beings experience it! Intimacy, yes! And intimacy does not require a dominant gender! If the blood is rich and unpolluted with drugs n toxins, anyone, male or female, is up for the slaughter! How you have not caught on to this is beyond me. Try another read!
