Anneke van Giersbergen playing Freedom - Rio, from the album 'In This Moments We Are Free - Cities' with the Residence Orchestra. Video taken from Podium Witteman aan zee: NPO-2. (Including intro (in Dutch) by Paul Witteman)
Oh man, everything about it is beautiful. She's gorgeous, has an amazing voice, great stage performance and the Orchestra was really nice on top of everything. Breathtaking!
Anneke is wonderful. As usual, whoever did the mix buried her and didn't have the mic loud enough. It never fails. Greatness undermined by inept technicians.
I think the mic is loud enough. The whole sound if off. The music drowns out the voice, but also there is no balance between the different intstruments either.
Ela tem uma doçura, passa uma coisa tão boa, um sentimento de paz, alegria, harmonia, tem uma luz e energia tão maravilhosas! ❤️ She shines a wonderful energy, it's such a great feeling listen to her 😍 it's like something divine ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was just wondering listening to this in the bus, do we know who will be the new Dutch future metal goddesses? Floor started when she was only 17 years old.
Anneke you are great as ever. You even wrote an amazing song. Wauw. A pity the technician gave the orkestra to much sound in this take so the balance was a off. But you stood as a rock !!!
Hmm, quite horrible arrangement for the orchestra. Simply, too many notes. They smother the essence of the song and most importantly, Anneke's precious vocals. So, a NO from me, because of whoever arranged this.
@Stef you are so right. This was a lesson in how not to arrange a pop song for an orchestra. The song was not good to begin with, but they trashed it. If it hadn't been for Anneke I would have pressed dislike .
@@novaestrella2571 And yet, this orchestral arrangement for "Travel" as heard here is superb. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q72zXeAbwQw.html Much depends on the placement of all the microphones used.
Well I got 'Metal' seven times from that Dutch conversation- that was clever of me wasnt it?! But this is nothing like Metal. Made me think though - has anybody formed an entirely 'Metal' Orchestra yet? (I'm not talking about a brass section).
This video is a shot from the TV program: Podium Witteman aan zee. Normally there is classical music played. Anneke did some gigs with an orchestra before. Therefor she was asked to play in the program. She took a number she wrote for the Dutch Metal band Vuur and played it at the TV show, as an orchestral version of a metal song. The several times you hear metal, is due to here relation with metal.
Mwa claver 😁? Dutch is a mix from Englisch, frensh, German and Latin..etc. thats why it is easy for us to learn Englisch.. i didn't learn much at school, just watching Englisch spoken movies with subtitles.. Water=water School=school Train=trein Bread=brood Door=deur Head=hoofd Right=Rechts Left=links Red=rood Green=groen Orange=oranje Hair=haar So.....if you listen verry carefull you can understand more than you think. German people can also learn Dutch verry easy, if we talk slow they can understand much
That is where she starts singing, the first 2.56 minutes is an intro/interview (in dutch). The song without the interview is also in this playlist, and live with the band Vuur in the 'my concert visits' playlist
