I hate to say it because I really love her but I can see why she didn’t land this. This role, although cheesy is a little less “over the top” than her take on it. She’s not believable. Acting and singing is a bit too dramatic and choppy and less natural and poppy. The song is supposed to be a little more rock n roll/poppy and less theatrical.
